Golden Tulip Leme it´s an hotel that needs a little more care. Average room, old closets, nice bed and pillows, very clean. Not being able to take a hot shower is very unpleasent. The room I stayed at the 18th floor had a great view... to the Favela. Ask for front rooms. They need to take care of the closets and mostly the showers, asap. Breakfast was good, and so was the service. Overall, it was almost ok.
The wi-fi was tricky. I couldn't access the secured connection from my phone and couldn't access some of the sites I tried to go into due to lack of network security. Everything else was wonderful!!!!
I stayed at the Leme branch for nearly a week during a conference; the price was good, the location was fine (not the beach, but very close), and the small rooftop area has spectacular reviews. Rooms an ok size, and comfortable. The clientele seemed mostly to be Brazilian families on vacation. What stood out was the service - I speak no Portugese, but the desk staff went the extra mile to help me as I had to travel around the city and beyond for work. Joao and Mauro were especially friendly and helpful.
We had a 2 night stay over in Rio mid meetings. The hotel is very comfortable and the service was excellent during our stay. The food for both breakfast and meals is varied and very good. We did find our room a wee but cramped. 2 of us were sharing a room with 2 double beds. The shower was really good (Too many hotels have terrible showers). Good air conditioning & the laundry service was superb. I never used the pool facilities but I understand that the views from the top of the building are great. First and foremost the hotel is in a great location for all the main attractions in the city. A great choice to stay.
The hotel/staff is fine. However, it is the second time that I am charged twice in my credit card for the same stay. In addition, an event with very loud sound made my last stay during the noght a real hell.
I stayed at this hotel for 1 week on my business trip with a coworker. The hotel room is nice and clean, although the only missing in the room is an iron for my clothes. I would think that a hotel with 4 stars will have this in the room, but they don't! I have to go to a nearby mall to buy one for the room. Location wise, it's conveniently located 1 block away from the beach and was an easy walk. But it's also in a residential area and it can get pretty loud in the evening or early in the morning and you can hear it loud and clear from your room. Other than that I find it pretty comfortable as far as a work trip is concerned.
Broken furniture, dirty floors, peeled cables... never in my life have seen an hotel as bad as this one. When complained about all that, reactions from the staff was also bad. Elevators always full and very hard to catch. I would strongly advise to stay away from this hotels.
Lovely hotel, 2 minutes walk to Leme beach and 5 minutes to cococabanna beach. It was also a 10 minute walk to sugar loaf mountain and we could see Christ the redeemer from the roof top pool. They gave us free room upgrade and an early checkin when we arrived and an late checkout as our flight home was in the evening. The staff were so sweet, not a lot of people speak English out there but they really try to help. They seemed to go out their way to help even if they didn't understand us.
This was the Best vacation, the staff were so friendly and helpful, This was staff in the reception, bar staff to cleaning staff and poolstaff, the location was Great , very close to leme Beach and cococabana beach😋 The only thing is the wifi could be better at the rooms, but the pool area the wifi was good, and a Great view I Can deffently recommand This place, and would stay there Again for sure
A good cost benefit ratio. Good rooms and breakfast. The location is ok and there is free wifi. A classic 4 stars, good for business trips. I use this hotel a lot. Sometimes, maintenance can be an issue.
