Just back from 4 nights at this wonderful hotel. The situation is ideal - right in the heart of the old town, very close to all the sights and the building itself is so beautifully restored that we had to get used to the crowds of people on walking tours gazing up at us when we looked out of our room windows ! The rooms are stylish and modern suites with cooking facilities should you wish. They are very well equipped and the beds are extremely comfortable. Breakfast is just excellent, and although at first glance the display looks small - they actually have an amazing selection of different cold and hot foods to choose from - all being constantly replenished by the wonderful staff. There are additional items such as omelettes that you can get cooked-to-order at a small additional charge. The complimentary Prosecco just added the final touch ! We had a very early morning pick up to fly home and when I informed the front desk of this, they offered a "picnic" breakfast for the four of us which we ate at the airport and was just excellent. Another feather in the cap for this truly superb hotel !
We were lucky enough to get a deal for the 2 floor suite which was just great, this is a lovely hotel and highly recommended. Good food too! Great friendly staff, located right at the heart of the old town, just a great place to stay.
Hotel Neiburgs has been beautifully restored and is in a great location in Riga old town. The decor is very restful and reflects the art nouveau original. The staff are lovely, the location is perfect and above all, dinner in the restaurant is not to be missed!
We ( me & my 19 y o daughter) visited Riga & stayed at the hotel Neiburgs for 4 nights. At first, location of the hotel is unbeatable, in the old town , close to all attractions. Hotel itself located at the historical building (even one of the famous Russian movie has been filmed there, & the second movie - Sherlock Holmes-was filmed right across the hotel). Inside the building has been done complete renovation, rooms are modern & spacious, they called them "apartments "- and it's true . Room (we have 1-room apartment) has 2 beds, sofa, armchair, desk, coffee table, kitchenette ( microwave, refrigerator, electric kettle, stove, table wear, dishes, etc.)with the table & 2 chairs. Bathroom also was big enough. It were 4 windows in the apartment with great view to old town. Service was professional, staff friendly, cleaning outstanding, breakfast delicious. Special thanks to receptionist Cicilia for her patience & professionalism. Highly recommend that hotel !
We stayed four nights at the Neiburgs Hotel together with our teenage sons and another couple, and we all loved this hotel. The location is perfect and the rooms are spacious and well appointed. In addition to this, the staff is really helpful and friendly, the breakfast buffet (included) was also excellent, as was the dinner we had in the restaurant. You could not ask for more!
Great hotel in Riga in the center of the old town. Rooms were very comfortable, spacious, and clean, and breakfast was good. The lobby was very nice as well. The service was very good as well (close to perfect).
We spent two nights in the Hotel Neiburgs. It's mind-bogglingly expensive (but we paid for it months ago and can't remember what it cost) so we just enjoyed it. Our room was on the 6th floor, in a mansard room (ie I kept hitting my head on the sloping roof/walls) but it had a great view over the river and was perfectly well appointed. The staff were very helpful when my wife needed medical aid, so thank you, Ms Dace at reception - full marks! It's when things go wrong that hotels are judged, and the Neiburgs came up trumps.
We were glad to have stayed 2 nights in this lovely hotel. The 1 bedroom suite is so spacious, clean and comfortable. The location is fantastic as it is in the heart of Riga Old Town and walking distance to the sight attractions. In the morning, you will find group of tourists taking pictures of the facade. Breakfast was inclusive but we are not a breakfast person so we only had coffee in the morning. There is a sauna facility which we did not use. You can book it at the front desk for private use at no extra cost. The staff were welcoming and our overall stay was relaxing and pleasant. We would definitely stay here again if we ever find ourselves back in Riga.
My husband and I stayed in this lovely hotel with our daughters for nine nights. We arrived late on the Sunday night, the receptionist was very efficient and friendly and check-in was easy. We were provided with rooms 601 and 609. Room 601 is a stunning, large space with a living area, kitchenette, dining area, study space, toilet and wardrobes on one floor and a spacious bedroom and bathroom on the level above. The sofa in the sitting area does convert into a sofa bed if required. Room 609 was a smaller room but still offered a kitchenette and living area in addition to the bed and bathroom. The stunning skyline from the windows of room 601 weren't appreciated until the following morning! Breakfast is buffet style and offers a wide range of hot and cold food. Breakfast can be made to order at an extra cost. Highly recommended is the freshly squeezed orange and grapefruit juice also available st a small extra cost. We only had dinner in the hotel restaurant twice but the food was exquisite and the service was faultless. We also availed of the room service and again the standard of food was excellent. The hotel has a lovely communal library, a gym (it is tiny but adequate) and a sauna/steam room that one books for private use. (It was unfortunately out of use when we were there.) There is also a lovely decked area outside the restaurant where you can dine or have a drink and watch the world go by. The hotel is situated right next to the Dome Cathedral in the old town and is a perfect location from which to explore this surprisingly beautiful city. I would highly recommend this hotel and would have no hesitation in returning.
We stayed four nights in a twin-bedded two-storey studio on the top floor. This had a kitchenette, dining table and lounge area on the entry level - plus a toilet with a fine view of St Peters - with the bedroom and bathroom at the top of a steep set of stairs in the roof space. All very nice and shiny and the only thing that wasn't ideal was the shower, not least because this was positioned over the curved end where it was impossible to stand and the hose barely reached. Personally we'd rather have had a 'proper' shower and no bath, but you can't please everyone and the designers obviously thought this the best arrangement (or didn't realise that the compromise solution wouldn't quite work or needed the bath to have been installed the other way round!). Apart from that the room, decor and furnishings were great; the location of the hotel in the centre of the old town (yet in a relatively quiet street) was perfect; and the staff are all extremely pleasant and helpful, mostly with a good command of English. Last but not least the breakfast buffet was excellent - a wide choice of items to suit most tastes, plus the opportunity to order something especially cooked from the kitchen for a supplement if desired. Thoroughly recommended and a very good restaurant to boot!
