this is a very good hotel in the centre of Riga in a very elegant Art Deco building. The rooms are spacious and well furnished with a good mini bar and tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast is substantial and very good, earl grey tea best I have tasted. Dinner in the restaurant is very good, we were there on Valentines night and there were a couple of complimentary courses. The staff in the restaurant on front desk were very helpful. All in all a very good destination in Riga. Everywhere you want to go is in easy walking distance. Hop on bus very good value for two day. No river cruises as the river was frozen over. Yes it gets cold in winter.
We had a fabulous time here, the room was spacious and well equipped, it was lovely and warm through out our stay despite the cold outsider. The hotel staff we friendly and helpful. We used the sauna and steam room which needs to be booked in advance as you get the space to yourself. Great location for exploring the city
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the hotel. Excellent and quiet room, very clean and spacious. The breakfast was very good, the staff super friendly. All in all a highly recommended Hotel in the center of the old town. We will stay there again when we come back!
Location of this hotel is great in a old town of Riga. The room is great (301) and the small balcony is wonderfull! The staff is helpfull and they do speak english. Bed and breakfast are good and bath is big enough. Just pure pleasure to stay here! No stairs inside the hotel (there is stairs, of course, but you can move around easily and by using an elevator) travelling with a kid in wheelchair.
I had a 4 day break in Riga as a birthday treat and I was astounded at how friendly the city was. i had done some online research of what to expect but I was surprised at just how photogenic the old town really was. I am a keen photographer and I was looking forward to capturing a few images of the famous Art Nouveau architecture that I had seen online. We stayed at the Neiburgs Hotel which is located in the old town by Riga Cathedral Square. We were mostly walking around the old town for most of the holiday so it was comforting to know that most of the sights were very close to the hotel and easily reachable with a minimum of trekkage. The hotel was brilliant. All of the staff were polite and very helpful. They all spoke English which was a bonus since I can only say "thank you" in Latvian (paldies!) Check in was very easy and when we asked for two rooms close together the staff were able to make the change with no problems. Both of the rooms were very comfortable and very well decorated . The hotel style is Art Nouveau and the rooms were very tastefully decorated. The huge bed in our room was very comfortable and the bathroom was very clean with the biggest bath I have seen in a long while. The restaurant attached to the hotel was very good indeed - breakfast was a treat with a very wide variety of things to choose from pastries to bacon sausage and eggs. I would also mention the exceptional cold meats and delicious smoked and pickled fish. Just the thing to set you up for a day out. The staff were always willing to help and made you feel very welcome. A nice touch - we returned from a day out to find a bottle of champagne had been left in our room along with a birthday card! All in all it was a very enjoyable break and I particularly liked the helpful staff, the free sauna and stem bath in the evening, and the lovely food. What did I like the least? Having to leave so soon. Paldies Riga - we will be back.
Rooms are great, beds great, small tea-kitchen, sofa, chair and what have you. We had room 211 and our friends 208 and both rooms were great (208 had a tub though :-) ) The breakfast restaurant is really good and the staff is friendly and helpful. I can highly recommend this hotel - all about it and then the location on top
We had a beautiful honeymoon at the Neiburgs Hotel in Riga. The staff surprised us with champagne and chocolates, our room looked out onto the Dome Cathedral and the food & service was exemplary. We'll never forget this wonderful hotel and magical city.
A beautiful hotel perfectly located in the old town - everything is in walking distance. Our room was huge with a lovely bathroom and a very comfortable bed. Everything in the room and public areas was of the highest standard. There was a good choice at breakfast with great coffee. Would love to return!
Beautiful hotel. We were in a studio apartment on the 4th floor and we had a lovely view of the dome from our room. Lovely bathroom with heated floor. Very nice breakfast and excellent service. Very quiet on the Wednesday and Thursday night but was woken up on Friday night with people on the street outside. It wasn't terrible but I am a light sleeper. If this is an issue maybe get a room at the back of the hotel though you won't have the lovely view of the dome.
Lovely modern hotel situated in the center of the Old Town of Riga, right next to the Catherdral. Hotel is within easy walking distance of the major sights of Old RIga and 5 minutes walk from a selection of restaurants - from traditional Latvian fare to US-themed 50's diners. Breakfast was a delight - a large selection of hot and cold foods, including Latvian delicacies. Didn't try the food in the evening, but the restaurant was always busy & the food looked good. The hotel itself was lovely and clean and the apartment room we had included a microwave and induction hob, as well as the usual coffee, tea, etc. Very large double room with seating area overlooking the Cathedral next door. Would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to explore Riga. Only 20 mins taxi ride from the airport to the hotel, only 12 Euros.
