We made our booking via booking.com and took 2 rooms. Also left a comment with a request for extra beds for the kids. We booked one twin room with extra bed and one double room with baby bed. We got two twin rooms without extra beds. Reception guy managed to bring in the beds but there were no sheets for the baby bed. Overtired baby and sadness in us made the stay so unfortunate:( Hotel is perfect if you are not traveling with kids. Breakfast is delicious.
The hotel is located few hundred meters from old Town, easy walk through parks. It has a underground parking where parking spaces are quite narrow. The hotel is quiet during the night which is the most important thing to myself. Breakfast is good and there is also a nice bar in the top floor. Strange thing is that many of the tables are reserved and still they stay empty hole evening (at least the time when we were there)
I have stayed here already for second time. It's a big, stylish hotel. Rooms are comfortably furnished, wifi is good. Breakfast is simply superb. Locations is very central so does not get much better. There is also Sixt bicycle rental station just outside.
The worlds famous Art Noveau is just around the corner from Albert Hotel. Old town is a walking distance. The staff (specially Anastasja) are very friendly and polite. Service is excellent! The bed is very comfortable! The room is clean. Wifi is good! The star lounge on the 11th floor has an amazing view of the city. Food is delicious and affordable! Breakfast is fabulous! I have nothing to complain. I will definitely return and I can highly recommend this hotel.
Very good hotel. Close to the center and to the Liberty area. Quite typical business hotel. Nice rooms clean and great breakfast rich of different type of food. Mattresses should be improved Professional staff. Good value for money. Nothing extroardinary but good.
Location was ideal for us, not right in the centre but a leisurely 15 min walk, which means you see a lot of interesting places that you wouldn't otherwise get to if you just stayed within the old town. Also, it's very close to the Art Nouveau buildings on Alberta Iela, the KGB Building, and lots more. The staff were competent and friendly, the bed very comfortable and the breakfast excellent. A big plus was the rooftop bar with lovely views over Riga. Also, there is a secure room to leave your luggage in if, like us, you are checking out but your flight doesn't leave until evening. Will be staying again on next trip to Riga.
Middleclass hotell with ok service. Terrifice view from topfloor bar Resturant on entrence floor with ambition and good taste. Suppurb cake as dessert. Rooms hot and not newly renovated. Missed the breakfast as we left 6 in the morning.
Visited the Albert Hotel for the European Choir Games in Riga. The hotel is well situated to easily visit the major tourist attractions of Riga. The standard rooms can best be described as compact, perhaps in need of some updating and better storage but ours was spotlessly clean and the beds comfortable. The top floor bar was a highlight giving beautiful views over the city. Breakfast buffet varied and plentiful with hot and cold options. All in all a most enjoyable stay.
Great location, around 15-20 minutes walk from the Old Town. Travelled with a large group and we were well catered for. Enjoyed the buffet breakfast, good coffee. Room was clean, plenty of hot water for showers, comfy beds, quiet location and slept really well. Several good restaurants within walking distance and a well stocked supermarket directly opposite. Highlight of the hotel has to be the Star Bar on the top floor with the beautiful views across the city. Tried the Riga Black Balsam (the blackcurrant one first on the advice of the barman) - very potent! Happy hour cocktails were great value. Would definitely stay here again.
The Albert hotel is well situated and central to most attractions. The rooms are clean and comfortable although not much storage space but 2 of us managed OK.The roof terrace bar is a must for beautiful views and comfortable space for a drink.Happy hour each evening. Good choice of buffet breakfast A small supermarket right opposite the hotel is handy.
