Convenient and priced right.
Property was very old and in need of a lot of upgrades. Some were being done. Room was not very appealing. It was at least 12 miles to restaurants other than Wendy’s or Waffle House. Bed was not very comfortable. Probably was the worst Best Western we have ever stayed in.
Indoor pool is very dirty and the water was completely still and smelled like mildew. It is basically an unmaintained, unheated outdoor pool that is inside a big building you access from the courtyard outside. Dogs are very welcome, they are everywhere. Easy quick stop with my dog if I was single but the problem is we also have a 3 year old and the room was less than clean. I felt less than safe walking my dog in the parking lot side as there were a lot of men hanging out smoking cigarettes and staring at me and my daughter. So we walked in the courtyard on the grass but encountered pups everywhere we turned. The carpet in our room 147 was shredded in a few spots and the room was grimy and very dated. The electrical was redone using raceways instead of being hidden in the walls, so even though I am sure it’s to code it gave me anxiety knowing that the next door neighbor left their dog in the room while they went to dinner and they sounded like the dog was chewing on the wall. I just kept hoping it wasn’t chewing the raceway. Daughter and I were disappointed by the pool because I wouldn’t let her go in it after I saw it.

The lobby is nice the rooms could be better. I've stayed at more appealing looking rooms. But our stay is for one night so I can tolerate it. Our particular location is near the pool area so it's slightly more noisy due to ppl walking by. The bathroom is small but clean. The beds feel like the usual hotel beds.. comfortable for our family after a 10 hr drive. The location has nothing appealing around, you would have to drive 20 miles to get to anything familiar as far as places to eat. If you don't mind it, give this place a try. I would add it as an option with other hotels to chose from

The staff and desk clerk Kevin were excellent, and the bartender was pretty cool. It’s conveniently placed near a Waffle House and a few gas stations also not far from the historical sites. However, as a former housekeeper I found hair on the tub and bathroom wall. I also luckily brought a glade candle along, because you can smell that the air conditioning unit’s filter hasn’t been cleaned or probably changed in a very long time. But for what it’s worth it was a pretty decent stay.
