very nice staff, great breakfast, room was very nice, check in-out went very smooth. Everyone was very nice.

The staff was excellent, rooms were clean and pretty big.

can not say enough about the staff. We were traveling due to Hurricane Florence. The hotel sold out that night. When I checked in the clerk received one call after another. She was very efficient and welcoming. I was even told that if we needed anything to let the know because " for now this is your home". Breakfast was wonderful and served with a smile from the breakfast attendant and the housekeeper was very efficient if trying to get everyone's room ready. Our room was clean and comfortable. Under the circumstances the it was a great experience.

I chose for the price and location to King's Dominion. It was nice. Would I return, probably not. I chose based on previous customer reviews, if they have a pool and free breakfast. Just didn't give me the "you need to come back feel".

Pros: Good location of hotel. Good breakfast. Good friendly staff. Excellent free shuttle to King’s Dominion. Cons: Bed wasn’t the most comfortable. Room was showing lots of wear and tear. I have stayed at much nicer La Quintas for half of the cost.

The hotel was ok. Furniture needs updating. Needed better lighting in room.

Absolutely love this place! Everything, the service, the room was excellent.

The hotel wasn’t bad for the price...perfect location if your going to Kings Dominion its right across the street...walking distance and also a free shuttle comes to the hotel to pick up and drop off people for the park every 15 minutes a plus.....Its pet friendly so if you don’t have pets request a room on the 3rd floor. The other floors smell like dogs. The shower head was great for my sore neck it has a messager on it. Breakfast was basic . but i would stay here again

Hotel is dated, not very appealing. Things are wearing out, or were of inferior quality.

The Good: close to park, big rooms, staff was nice, room was under 120. The Bad: The carpet in our room had sticky spots and looked like it had its day. Shower and sink took 7 min to warm up. Refrigerator did not work. Elevator and pool were out of commission. Surface mold and broken tile in bathroom. The ugly: There was a decent continental breakfast. However, some of the guests thought it was home and came in their PJ's. There is seating for about 20...it is not pretty when there is twice as many trying to eat. Overall, this motel is right next to the best western and country inn.. They share the same parking lot. My guess is they are all about the same. If you have your own sheets, don't mind a little icky stuff, and are just sleeping and showering The motel is fine. If you are looking for something a little nicer stay in another hotel area 10 or 20 miles out. The kings dominion park is really all that is at this exit. It is pretty much a truck stop (literally). 4 motels, Burger King, 2 gas stations, and a Denny's that someone said was not nice.

Everyone was polite and helpful, disappointed that the hot tub was out of order - one of the reasons we picked that motel. The motel was clean and attractive and the beds very comfortable.

For the money, this hotel was a great stay and close to both Kings Dominion and the State Fair. Couldn't ask for anything better in that area.

We were looking forward too a relaxing soak in the hot tub after a long tiring day at the theme park next door. We chose this hotel because of the indoor pool. We were not able to use the hot tub or the pool because it closes at 10:00. The amusement park also closed at that time. Please keep the pool area open later than ten

late arrival (3am), tired from road. Night clerk helpful and quick. after entering room, realized no sheets on sleeper sofa bed, so called front desk and he had set of sheets ready for me before I was off elevator 3 mins later. Bed comfortable, sleeper sofa fine. Basic breakfast, but still a solid start to the day. Location good stopping point along 95 -- easy off and on. Will stay again if travels call for it. Hotel pet friendly, so a couple of dogs on hallway loud in the morning, but you are traveling anyway, so we treated it as an alarm clock.

So clean, with free breakfast.. Very convenient close to kings dominion

We stayed here because it is a great location for the theme park across the street, which the computer will not allow me to name in this review. I got a bad vibe however when we checked in, and the staff stood in the room behind the desk talking and not responding to us. They looked at us, but ignored our presence until we finally asked if we could get some service. The clerk then wanted to sell us bus passes to the theme park across the street, which the computer will not allow me to name in this review, so that we would not have to drive across the street and park. I agreed, but she then hesitated when I told her to put it on my credit card. She said that I had booked through A COMPANY WHICH THIS COMPUTER WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO NAME and that they had used their credit card to book the room. I told her to put it on my personal card. She asked for cash. I sensed that they did not want to pay whatever credit card fee they would have to pay. She reluctantly did process the $10.00 fee. When arriving to our room, the light bulb in entry was burnt out. No tissues were in the bathroom tissue holder. We had only one bar of soap, not one for the shower and sink. There was also only one portion of shampoo. The next morning we found only one package of regular coffee and one package of decaf for the coffee pot. We were booked for three persons. I guess they thought we could share the in-room cup of coffee. (we don't drink decaf) At the breakfast Sunday morning, they had run out of Danish pastries, yogurt, and apple juice, by 8:30am. The breakfast attendant said they would not have any until the next day. Signs throughout indicate NO PETS. Not only did we see a black cat sitting in the window waiting for it's owners to return the evening we arrived, we saw a dog on a leash coming out of a room the next morning as the owners were leaving. As we were checking out, a customer indicated that he would might be a little tardy checking out. The clerk said his card would be charged $20. We had a clean room, and location was great for what we were doing, however this is a room and a bed. Don't expect anything above average, and some things not to be. I got the impression that either these people were skimping on expenses at the expense of unsuspecting guests. I'll pass on this hotel, which the computer will not allow me to name in this review next time around.
