This was a favourite for me! It feels like the hotel is in the middle of an oasis in a dessert but you have all you need right in front of you at this divine hotel! The welcome drink was mystica with a twist! Yum! The rooms were great, loved the stylish decor and the raw rustic elements in the room. We had a suite with a terrace leading right onto the pool. The restaurant is out of this world. We feasted and had starters mains and dessert. It was all delicious!! The breakfast the following day was a buffet that never ended! All so tasty. I would recommend this over and over again! I cant wait to go back when the summer season begins!
Stayed here for a week for my big birthday and WOW what a stunning hotel. The setting was beautiful, our room looked out onto the surrounding mountains. We had a premium room (one with a hammock), lovely sized room, super shower and lots of space. Only down side was the design of the sunbed area ... for whatever obscure reason the designer had set the sunbeds into the main patio area, so during the afternoon we lost the sun ... the rooms either side of us had their sunbed area set out into the swim-up pool, which made a lot more sense in our opinion. Would opt for one of these rooms if we return. Seen a lot of disparaging remarks/reviews about the food at Casa Cook, have to say we found everything was fine and of a high standard.. massive choice at breakfast (always ate our fill and never got bored with the chioice on offer). Lunch and evening meals we had were fabulous... tended to go out of an evening to sample more tradional food (taverna Tsambikos a must in that respect), but couldn’t fault portion size and standard of what we did eat at all. So in summary, the good: stunning hotel, fabulous room, friendly and very efficient bar/waiting on/cleaning staff, fabulous setting. Unfortunately the bad (albeit minor grumbles): the reception staff ... on our arrival a voucher was demanded which we hadn’t been supplied by Thomas Cook, only had our TC confirmation e-mail we’d printed out ... the lady got a little grumpy at that and waltzed off to reception leaving us standing around for more than a few minutes wondering what was going on! Eventually all sorted but a little worrying nonetheless. Wasn’t really given much guidance as to how the hotel operates we had to figure this out ourselves, for example food and drink wise (everything has to be signed for, which is fine but having to tried to pay for a drink whilst awaiting our room got some odd looks from the bar staff) a simple overview on arrival would be helpful. On check out would have been nice to have been asked if we’d had a nice stay etc, and a thank you when settling up so wouldn’t have gone amiss! All felt very much like a cold business transaction which doesn’t seem to follow the ethos of the Casa Cook brand. On a personal and maybe selfish note, on all of our booking info it was mentioned several times that it was my 50th birthday whilst staying there, wasn’t expecting to be wined and dined etc but some recognition of that by the hotel wouldn’t have gone amiss, ie a bottle of wine or a free cocktail etc surely wouldn’t have been asking too much! Having seen previous reviews and from conversations held at the hotel with other celebrating guests I felt that this milestone birthday had been overlooked by the very business like management team. Took the appalled TC rep to mention it to reception to get a response, a very tiny cream cake which had been sat in our room for god knows how long whilst we were out celebrating. Would we return ... yes. But would like to see an improvement in the welcome and departure experience. Would also prefer a room with sun all day and away from the main complex.
Wow, stunning location and very peaceful stay. Incredible cocktails.. the swim up to the room feature is very cute and refreshing to use when it’s v hot outside.💖✔️ We there on business but I’d love to bring my partner for a romantic holiday. Nestled amongst the hills I can imagine that’s it’s fantastic at Christmas too..
My wife and I stayed 6 days at Casa Cook Rhodes and had a very good time. Besides small details everything was topnotch and we have to give this little paradise 5/5. Secluded, luxury, great staff, good food, close to beach and nature/hills/hikes, etc.
We are just back from a fantastic week at Casa Cook Rhodes where we were treated perfectly everyday . The layout is really well presented and the staff and food were exceptional, a small criticism is that the drinks were quite pricey but we ended up going out to a local taverna for our evenings . We had a bed and breakfast booking and I must say that the choices for breakfast were plentiful. The room and our swim up pool was all you could wish for and cleaned daily, which leads me to my only other small criticism that I only had 1 hot shower in the morning with the other 6 being cold. I really like a hot shower in the morning . The restaurant and bar staff were really attentive and nothing was a problem for them. So an almost perfect stay for us and I would highly recommend a visit here.
We had a perfect stay in so many ways. It started with the warm welcome and the best room we could imagine. It was just amazing with its privacy and its beautiful view on the mountain. After having the first cocktail you had us in the pocket. We never had so delicious and lovely made cocktails before. Every one of the many we had was made with love and you could really feel that. With the breakfast the next highlight followed. A large selection of fresh food and very good tea and coffee. Especially the fresh orange and grapefruit juices were so delicious and promised a perfect start to the day. In my opinion, the most valuable and important thing you have is your staff. Each of them is super friendly, attentive and helpful. There is almost no wish that they can't fulfill. But the best thing is the smile and the positive vibes they give you every time you see them. We really felt comfortable and you can feel that they all love what they're doing . Your choice of music is next level and was exactly our taste. We also loved the fact that we could enjoy some beats at the main pool and if we wanted to have it quiet we just chilled at our terrace and watched the goats and the beautiful nature around. All the different seating options even made us feel more comfortable and it happened that we spent hours just chilling around and enjoying the nice vibe. All in all the most perfect holidays we could ever imagine. THANK YOU! Special thanks to Michalis, Savvas and Dimitris from the bar and Konstadinos, Dimitris and Katerina from the service! You guys are amazing!!
Had a wonderfull week there for our honeymoon. The food is great and diverce, staff is profetional and very nice and welcoming. Wonderfull mountain view, and fun to walk up the mountain to the church and Tsambika beach view. Kolimbia beach is 5 minutes away by foot. A small suggestion to the hotel - they should add prices to the activity schedual (yoga classes and nature walks).
Just spent 10 days here and it is the best hotel complex we have been to. Room Pluses-The rooms are superb except for a few little issues, really well laid out and good air con. Shower is fantastic. Plenty of hanging space Minus-no English channels on tv-Austrian/German channels. Would have been nice to have had a news channel. Pillows-hated them-had 4 nights of no sleep. Much too big. A double room should have a double bed -not two singles pushed together. Stupid light over one side of bed -watch your head when getting up. The tap in sink is fixed and gets in your way. Swim up pools-great-water is cold but refreshing. Food-very good especially breakfast and bar menu. Breakfast is extensive. A la carte is ok but have had better. Service-Staff are very pleasant and well presented. Bar staff especially so. Lovely Ukranian and Greek waitresses there. Main Pool "chilled" music-One of my worries when reading other reviews. Personal taste is that it was not my kind of music, but not overly bad. Our room -807- was well away so we only had to listen to it at meal times which was ok. Reception-staff very good, You do have to elicit information though rather than them tell you about it. When we enquired about keeping room longer than your 12 noon checkout-12 euros an hour btw- they gave us the 4 hours free as our inbound flight was over 6 hours late, Nice touch. Gym-went once, Good and well equipped. Things to do in complex. It is a chilled out place so there isn't very much. A little boring at night for my taste-would've liked a tennis court. You can walk up to the monastery at the back of the complex which is a great outing and views from top are brilliant. Also took a walk to Seven Springs-nice outing but crowded. Surrounding-the nearest beach is ok but a better one is about a mile walk away. Michels is ok for a bar snack but the main area of Kolymbia has a great variety. Ate at Palazzo on European Union st but had poor quality swordfish. Ate at a couple of others on main Kolymbia centre and those were very good esp Taverna Manolis. Lindos-Took a lovely boat trip there and visited Acropolis. Rhodes-Lovely city-lots to do. Shopping is a mix of touristy and high end shops. Overall-well worth it, albeit the little nitpicks. Think 7 days would have been enough rather than 10 but that my personal view. Would like to try one of the others.
Perfection.. Room with pool access, very nicely designed. Food at breakfast was very good and also drinks at the lounge bar. Chill music throughout the day, and excellent customer service. Very kind and helpful. We will surely come back in the future.
I cannot begin to describe how absolutely lovely this hotel is! Every detail is just perfect. Let's start by saying how beautifully this hotel is thought out. What a lovely job the architect has done. Every room has its own access to a shared pool. The hotel is designed in a way that almost every terrace has a maximum hours of sunshine. All the buildings are one-story buildings so that the beautiful mountainous surrounding comes into its own. We got an upgrade to a 'split-level suite' (without them even telling us, so this was a very nice surprise) and the room is just lovely with all these rustic elements. Everything was so nice that it even made it difficult for us to leave the hotel (and we're normally not the type of people who stay in the hotel all the time). Because everybody has access to a pool from their room the big 'shared' pool is never crowded. You don't have the annoying 'leave a towel to occupy the good sunbeds type of people' here. The food is amazing!! The prices are very correct. You easily order some mezze's or a lunch or drink by the pool because it's so fairly priced which is a relieve compared to the craaazy food/beverage prices other high class resort sometimes dare to ask. The breakfast is very good and has plenty of choices. Another thing a really enjoyed was the music played in the hotel. Thumbs up to the DJ who created amazing enjoyable music mixes played by the pool (loungy, good, not too distracting) and who plays some very nice music in the evening during dinner. A lot of people stayed after dinner to enjoy a good cocktail (also fairly priced!) with his nice music in the background in a very nice setting around the pool/at the bar next to the pool. The staff is also really nice. It's young dynamic team of people who seem to enjoy their work and give excellent service. To conclude: we LOVED this hotel and can't wait to be back!
