I stayed here for a week with my partner and we were both quite disappointed. Upon arrival we noticed the pool was empty, we were told it was closed for maintenance and that it would reopen in 2-3 days. We had not been informed of this prior to arriving. We enquired again 3 days later after the pool remained empty only to be told the same thing. The day before departure, a member of staff finally admitted it wouldn’t be ready before we left. I understand that the pool has to be cleaned but stringing us along and not giving us the full truth from the start left me unimpressed. The above probably won’t be an issue for most guests as it was just unlucky for us that the pool was closed when we arrived. So let me raise a few areas that are more generally relevant: The staff are generally very good and were quite attentive to us at meals. The hotel food is ok but unfortunately did not offer the variety that I was expecting. Each night the buffet items were more or less the same as the last. Our room and the hotel in general are very presentable and modern. The walls however are very thin and we were often disturbed during the night by returning guests or traffic. The big positive is the location which is fantastic, being 5 minutes walk from the old town. To summarise, all round a bit average and only the location saved this from being a 2*.
Well they could also charge for water, but tapped water is not good for drinking in Rhodes island thanks God. I thought that charging for WiFi ended ten years ago. No, in this hotel they still do it! They advertise "free WiFi in all public places" but be carefull your room is not public place! And of course they do not advertise it! Certainly 2.5 euros per day is not that big deal...but this is a hotel not Ryan Air you have to pay because you just exist. Disappointing...very disappointing!
We returned a week ago after a lovely time in Rhodes Town. We arrived between 9 and 9.30pm to a lovely and warm welcome. We were allocated a pool view room, which was very spacious with a balcony. The shower room was creatively fitted, It would not necessarily be to everyone's taste but I thought it was great with its stone featured walls around the shower and the stone wash hand basin, it was very modern and the shower itself was very powerful. There was a fridge in the room which was very handy. We asked for extra pillows and hangers which was no problem. There is the union bar which backs onto the pool, which can be heard from from the room, however we were out most evenings so this did not have much of an impact on us. Breakfast was served until 10am which was a bonus and if you were not finished, the staff did not rush you or take away the food. The only downfall to breakfast was that it was the same thing everyday. The breakfast manger was very pleasant and friendly as were the rest of the staff. One of the night receptionists was exceptionally, friendly and with whom we would enjoy a chat with on a return from our evening out. The hotel is in the city centre and very close to the old town a 5 minute walk. The Marina and beach also a 5 to 10 minute walk, with the bus station being less than a 5 minute walk. The location is definitely brilliant if you want to be near the old town.
Firstly, the location is fantastic, 5 minutes to the centre of old town and 5 minutes to bar street and some good quality restaurants. Two of the staff were lovely, but the guy during the day was definitely smacked with the grouch stick! Wi-Fi is only available in the rooms for a fee!!! Totally archaic and unreasonable in today's technology friendly climate. The room is fine - clean, comfy beds, working air con, although the bathroom really is very small. Breakfast, whilst being a large spread was not to my taste. It's a bit hard to describe, but everything is just a bit cheap... the bacon for instance is ham formed to look like bacon! The one thing that I found particularly frustrating was the pool is where the breakfast set up is, so no quite morning dip as everyone who is eating breakfast is also watching you! For the price, it's good to stay just for the location, but as long as you know that is probably it.
My friend and I have just checked out of this place and honestly, except for the bed being comfortable, the location being great and the breakfast manager being delightful everything else was average. The shower is tiny and the doors were so poorly affixed they kept coming off, there was no kettle, no iron, the bedroom door slammed continuously, there was no view, the reception staff were consistently rude, glasses were not washed, just turned upside-down, their 'free wifi' only works in reception and the restaurant and the lifts are tiny. Our aircon stopped working one night and the receptionist was rude about fixing it and the hot water barely worked. If you are tall or a bigger person (no judgement, all y'all are beautiful), this is not the hotel for you, if you want to shower comfortably.
We stayed here for 1 week. The location is excellent, we had bed and breakfast and our room was clean and minimal but had everything we needed. The breakfast has got plenty of choice and we had lunch by the pool a couple of days which I thought was very good and reasonably priced. I can also recommend the cocktails especially the mojitos which were excellent.
We stayed here for just one night so we could explore Rhodes old town. Positives - good location for buses & old town Negatives - dirty room the bathroom mirror and shower had not been cleaned - bird feather and excrement around the pool - pool dirty - drinks cans in hall ways not cleaned up - room stank of smoke in the morning, making us feel quiet unwell - no soap in the bathroom it had not been topped up -no safety deposit box in the room - decor was in serious need of an update Given the above we didn't have breakfast and left as soon as we could.
To me this "boutique" hotel was somewhat disappointing. Pixeled art on canvases and a pool that was filled with so much chlorine that me and my partner started getting rashes after three days. However, the personnel was nice and the breakfast was excellent. Our room with balcony was great, and tranquility encapsulated the hotel by nightfall. The location was probably the best about this place. A mere five minute stroll to Old Town and roughly 10 mins walk to Windy Beach (the better of the two in our opinion).
Hotel is very good located , 3 min from Old Town . Rooms are small , we get for 3 adult .Not recomand ! Towels are not changed every day , evan cleaning lady was so cute and give us clean , it was not politic of the hotel . Dress code for Restoran , nobody told us before booking . Food was good .Internet conection in loby bad . But Rhodos is so beautiful , and this small things did not change impresion 😊
This Hotel is all about the Location! You are in the heart of Rhodes town - a 2 minute walk to the bus depot, a 5 minute walk to the Harbour, a 10 minute walk to the old town and a 10 minute walk to the beach. It is a boutique Hotel, so none of that nonsense entertainment that is in all the bigger hotels - a huge plus point for us! The breakfast is as you would expect from a 4 star hotel (others on here have complained about it - I really don't know why!!). The staff at this Hotel are simply wonderful always happy to help and providing excellent service. The poolside service is fab (our thanks to Alex for looking after us so well). We had a few power cuts when we were there - it was no big deal for us as these things happen. When we first arrived we were disappointed that we had a city view and not a pool view, it turned out great! - sitting on the balcony "people watching" was great fun! The shower stall is small, I mean really small - this is the only negative point, it was not a big issue for us though. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room - we knew this before we went so we just took a cheap kettle with us - problem solved.
