This Hotel is all about the Location! You are in the heart of Rhodes town - a 2 minute walk to the bus depot, a 5 minute walk to the Harbour, a 10 minute walk to the old town and a 10 minute walk to the beach. It is a boutique Hotel, so none of that nonsense entertainment that is in all the bigger hotels - a huge plus point for us! The breakfast is as you would expect from a 4 star hotel (others on here have complained about it - I really don't know why!!). The staff at this Hotel are simply wonderful always happy to help and providing excellent service. The poolside service is fab (our thanks to Alex for looking after us so well). We had a few power cuts when we were there - it was no big deal for us as these things happen. When we first arrived we were disappointed that we had a city view and not a pool view, it turned out great! - sitting on the balcony "people watching" was great fun! The shower stall is small, I mean really small - this is the only negative point, it was not a big issue for us though. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room - we knew this before we went so we just took a cheap kettle with us - problem solved.
We were here in August 2016 for 10 days with the baby. LOCATION: Excellent. 2 min from the old town, 7 min walking down the hill to the Ely beach and Casino Rhodes, which is very good. And it is not a hard walk since there are a lots of shops and int very a live in the streets. ROOM: We asked for a room with the balcony, and we have got it, but balcony was 1sqm and you can put only the chair on it, besides doors are opening to the outside, so it takes out more space from the balcony. Rooms are very average, and they dont look like the ones in the photos of a hotel. Since we were there with the baby we asked the room with an extra bed, but this extra bed is not like the one in a photo of a hotel, its very poor, and they put just mattress on it. BATHROOM: very small, but it was ok, but on photos of a hotel, there were all shower cabins, in our case it was just small tub at the floor with a curton. It has hairdryer, soap and shower gel. CLEANING: Room was cleaned every they at he first sight. You get extra towel, they wipe floor and change sheets, but thats it. If you peak under the bed you'll see even stuff from the people that probably stayed before you, and the floor wasn't cleaned. Dust was cleaned only at visible places. FOOD AND RESTAURANT: Lovely staff at the restaurant, they make it better hotel. They were very kind and helpful. Breakfast-basic buffet, ok, not great. Dinner-very good. Restaurant is very nice, and the pool area, as I said staff makes it even more nice. STAFF: Reception guy, named Stelios was very rude and unhelpful. Since we asked an extra bed for the baby, he got very angry because he thought the baby cot was ok, but our girl cant sleep in a baby cot, and because of the balcony we asked for the room with the bigger balcony, he said I dont have it now, I will let you know, but that "I'll let you know" never happened, even though i went to ask him. Even though I knew rooms got released because there we some agencies from our country, but he said they are already reserved. And once my baby was playing with the stones in the lobby, he took it from her and trash it to the bin without a word.Other people at reception they were ok. His attitude doesnt do any good to a hotel Hotel is louder, since a lot of younger people come and they slam with the door, the receptionists cant do much.
Stayed here as a surprise for my birthday and have to say I was very impressed. The hotel is lovely the room was nice and hotel restaurant and pool was lovely. The food was fabulous and tasty. We ate here most of our stay as the food was delicious as well as good value for money and the restaurant manager was lovely really welcoming and friendly. The only down side we found is that we couldn't really go in the pool as it was soooooo cold! Other than that it was lovely and wifi was free in the hotel and just a small charge in the room. Perfect location as walking distance to the harbour and old town to go shopping and find lovely restaurants.
"If" you chose to stay here, DO NOT stay in the penthouse, DO NOT eat anything from the "cold section" of the breakfast buffet and DO NOT try to complain afterwards. We booked via Booking.com and paid over £200 for the penthouse as a treat for the kids on the last day of our holiday. Let's just say we wouldn't let the kids out onto the supposed "amazing" terrace as there was a virtual sheer drop to either the pool on one side or a building site to the other (photos attached). There was an lose electrical cable hanging in the room, the bath didn't drain so you were left standing in your shower water, "mini-bar" was empty and the cable TV didn't work. Breakfast buffet, cold section was warm (ie. not chilled) so we dare not risk it. The pool area was nice and the kids enjoyed the pool itself, but overall very shocked at the standard and obvious health and safety risks of the supposed "Penthouse"
Clean, nice food and good internet in the loby. Location is the best really close to everithing. Staff is pleasant. However, hotel had issue all our stay with hot wather during the night, meaning NO hot water from 8 in the evening till morning. Quite anoying and complicated especially with kids.also, noticed other things that were missing like fire plan of hotel and we had only 2 towels per person... overall its ok to stay there but dont expect 4*.
Did the job for us in terms of somewhere cheap to stay for a night before our flight home the next day. Situated on the edge of the old town near the knights palace so it was a good location. Wouldn't want to stay here for a long period of time, strange atmosphere in the hotel, reception slightly miserable at times, the pool/restaurant manager always seemed to be shouting at his staff or in a panic of some sort. Rooms were okay, standard really - shared balcony on most of them with no furniture. Breakfast was reasonable, nothing special. no safe storage for luggage or shower room on checkout if you have a late flight. the pool was painted blue which indecently stained my knees and hand. Not a boutique hotel, just a marketing gimmick.
We stayed here as a family of three. The hotel met our expectations especially regarding tidiness and kindness of the staff, especially the chef of the restaurants and maids. They are trying to help you out regarding the each single detail which are you worry about, and I think that the rating for this people is much higher than for the hotel amenities :). The hotel itself justified their rating, it is well down town positioned easily reach all landmarks of Rhodes town. Regarding the wifi it is average to poor quality in the lobby and for surcharge of 2.5eur per day it is available in the room.
