Currently staying in this wonderful hotel in the city of Rhodes, just in the center of the island. The staff is amazing and nothing is too much for them as they are always willing to help. I can’t not mention the food as it is amazing and with many alternatives even for very picky eaters. We highly recommend this hotel and will come back for sure!!!!
We had a great holiday at this place. It is exceptionally clean and the staff very helpful and professional. Sofi in the buffet restaurant is such a lovely lady. The food is out of this world, something for everyone. I would have given 5 stars had it not been for the noise at night. We are two couples in our 60s and 70s and appreciate the fact that people are here to enjoy themselves. However, the last 3 nights of the holiday we hardly had any sleep. This was because of people making a noise in the gardens which we overlooked. I blame our travel agent for this as they requested garden rooms although l had said we wanted rooms in the quietest part of the hotel. Had we been at the other side of the hotel overlooking the sea our stay would have been much more enjoyable. Apart from this everything else was great.
Let me first say all the staff were excellent except for the staff on reception and the concierge as they were not interested in resolving our issues. This hotel is not a 5 star hotel I would go one further and say it would struggle to achieve 3 stars. We had booked a sea view room and were giving a garden view until we complained. The sea view room was very tired and the furniture had seen better days. The lock on the safe was falling out before I fixed it. The toilet seat was falling off with one of the screws missing and moved every time you sat on it. The complimentary mini bar only had beer and soft drinks, low sugar (diet) soft drinks were not available. I complained about the lock on our room door as the keep attached to the frame was not fitted securely and was only 2mm thick. I complained to reception who sent someone to fix it all they did was tighten the screws. I complained to reception again and insisted someone come and look for themselves. Stavros came upto the room I showed him the lock and told him I was in construction and only a slight push would be enough to break in. I then showed him the keep on another room he agreed the lock on our room was not upto standard and he would arrange for it to be rectified. This never happened. I suggested if they gave me the tools I would fix it but they declined my offer. We have stayed in many 5 star hotels around the world and this would not be acceptable. The lifeguard at the pool to the front of the hotel was very good at enforcing no jumping or diving but the lifeguard or the hotel staff did absolutely nothing in regards to enforcing the no reserving of sun beds. The pools did not open until 10am but residents were putting towels on sun beds from 6.30am. I questioned the reception staff who told me they could do nothing about it at this point I did suggest that I could remove the towels! 99% of the drinks were not branded and there was no Bourbon (Jack Daniels). The cocktails were more like mocktails and tasted nothing like they should. If you want a proper drink I would suggest the Arena Sports Bar behind the hotel. Obviously we will not be returning to this hotel but will be returning to Rhodes
Had the best week here definitely recommend! The staff are lovely brilliant service. Food & drinks were amazing, plenty to do, the evening entertainment was brilliant, nothing to complain about at all!
Currently staying here and if I could give 4.5 star review that's what it would be. The vast majority of facilities and services are great but a few things could be improved + The staff work incredibly hard and the service is brilliant. Waiters/waitresses are great and the bar staff make lovely drinks The food is lovely and plenty of choice but could do with more vegetables to accompany dinner. Otherwise it's all beautiful Pool areas very relaxing and comfy Great views from the balcony - Bedroom a bit dated. The shower doesn't stay attached so you have to take it off to shower yourself and the hair dryer (so I'm told) is sub standard No jumping into the pools. It's the best way in and it stops a lot of children's enjoyment. No pool games luke water polo even though there is room to play Overall a lovely relaxing holiday and would recommend the hotel to anyone who likes good food and a relaxing holiday
Just returned from a week here , second visit as we spent two weeks here last year , which is unusual for us because we’re fussy . Hard to fault this place the service everywhere is faultless the rooms are comfortable. The restaurant is excellent as are the poolside ones the Mexican and Pitta bar . The position is excellent next to the beach and also a stroll into the walled city . The pools are large and unusually for a modern hotel with lots of lawned areas to sunbathe . It’s all splendid. But I must mention the restaurant staff as they are all delightful and attentive .
The best vacation I have ever been! Everything was great. The room, the pools, the food, the service, the stuff, the restaurants. Everything!!!! I'll definitely come back to the grand hotel again with my family.
I cannot fault the hotel for location, service and food. The public areas of the hotel are beautifully decorated, well maintained and created a fabulous first impression, but our rooms felt a little sad by comparison. The staff were, without exception, kind, courteous and extremely helpful. We arrived late after a delayed flight and expected to go hungry until breakfast but were delighted to find that the buffet offered a night service until 4am. The food was good and we were very grateful! We enjoyed the a la carte brunch, Italian and Asian, the buffet and all of the speciality eateries around the garden pool. Although spacious, freshly painted and spotlessly clean, the soft furnishings in the rooms were a little grubby and worn, the carpet in my sons' room had a stain (we had laminate flooring next door) and the wood-grained laminate on the furniture was badly chipped and even peeling in places. From our position at the end of the Grand Building the "garden view" was more of a flat roof covered in aircon units, the local supermarket and car-park. There was only one single electrical outlet that wasn't dedicated to a lamp or appliance and it didn't work. That was the same in my sons' room. The bathroom although opulently decorated is not well thought out. The shower over the bath was at on OK height for me at 5'3" but not for my husband and sons - all over 6'. If the water was turned to full pressure the shower head rose like a spitting cobra and threw water over the top of the shower rail, soaking the floor. The shower curtain was horrible, billowing inwards and clinging like a demented extra from Psycho! There is no ventilation either so it stayed steamed up for ages and impossible to dry a towel for re-use. There was a lot of storage space in the room and a plentiful supply of good quality complimentary toiletries which were frequently replenished. Housekeeping was excellent with an additional fresh round of towels every evening. The mini-bar was restocked daily by a lovely lady. I particularly chose a hotel with a full gym and noted that it wasn't in the all inclusive but 9 euro per person per day felt a little excessive. There are discounts for 3 days use (20 euros). I was looking forward to the escape room but it wasn't ready. My sons were disappointed with the activities programme. No water volley ball or water polo, only quite sedate activities. The evening entertainment was not always to our taste, but the acts presented were very professional and clearly enjoyed by many. We were particularly grateful for the late check-out arranged (65 euro). Overall it is a beautiful hotel with excellent food and outstanding service. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again but I would hope for a more recently refurbished room and a better bathroom.
We enjoyed from the staying in the hotel. The freindlly and lovely stuff. The varied and tasty food. The great location. Its our forth time here, and we surly come back again. I recommend with all my heart.
