Stayed one night at this hotel on our way to Alsace, France. The Hotel is located on a quite street within short walking distance to city centre. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet which was of excellent quality. The room was quite with a queen bed of a good size for Europe with a modern bathroom.

I stayed at the Mercure for about 10 days on a business trip to Mannheim. The check-in procedure was smooth and done without a hassle. The staff was helpful and cheerful with an attitude to help. The rooms I felt was a bit cramped and not so spacious. The same goes for the bathroom which was even more cramped and hardly any place to stand. The rooms were maintained well and was modern in architecture. The food at the restaurant was pretty good but a little on the expensive side. A great offer since I was staying for a longer period was to have a soft drink voucher in place of cleaning of the room for the day. Unfortunately it was only for a soft drink and a voucher for a beer would have been great. But I thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality. A drawback was that the hotel is in a residential area with not too many shops or eateries nearby. The wifi was extremely slow.

My hotel of choice but unfortunately a bit old and tired. Last time I booked the double. Ed was made up as a single - I am normally not picky but I really dislike it. Makes me feel so unwelcome.... They eventually provide everything you need but it's always a matter of organization and calling... Food is ok- ish Bed is in the hard side

Excellent choice if you like to be near the city center, in a quiet corner of the Innenstadt. Commercial streets reachable on foot. Affordable parking garage (for a city). Excellent breakfast at a normal price/quality. Staued in a "privilige room" and it was a privilege....

We stayed 1 night at the Mecure Hotel Mannheim am Rathaus, rooms were spacious and clean, Our only gripe is the meal we were served for dinner at the Mercure, We were part of a tour and the meal was part of the package, it was a set menu, all we got for entree was a bowl of lettuce and 1 small piece of tomato with no dressing. Most of our tour were not happy as we had been on the go since 5.30am that day and were quite hungry. The main was quite small as well and nothing spectacular. So there needs to be some improvement on meals provided to tour groups as we are customers also. Breakfast the next morning was good with a large selection on offer. Overall good experience except for the food for dinner.

Best about this hotel was the team at the front desk. Very friendly and helpful girls, even remembering clients by name. Expensive parking and kind if expensive breakfast if you stay longer. Lack of a minibar/fridge is disappointing. Small rooms. New, clean, modern, as many of the group.

All in all a nice hotel, fitting with the Mercure standards. Rooms are not very big and I have the impression that the difference between a standard room and a privilege room is very small ; the fact that there is no 'privilege' sign outside the room makes me think that rooms are used for both purposes. One flaw was that that I did not find the bath robe the first morning (because it simply wasn't there) which was then corrected in the evening. Breakfast is nice and offers quite a wide choice. What's also nice, is the fact that they offer the opportunity not to clean the room, in exchange for a drink or for additional loyalty points.

I spent two weekend's here at this hotel and I have two admit that i had a pleasant stay...Location is great, close to the city center with shopping and restaurants, urban transportation is almost directly in front of the hotel, railway station around 20 minutes walk, highway connection 10 minutes drive...room was good, clean and quiet, staff friendly and very helpful, hotel restaurant is good, the food well prepared but the breakfast is a bit pricey. Hotel parking isn't free of charge, free WiFi is slowly, the bathroom towels need an upgrade (littly grey and thin)...All in all it is a hotel to consider whenever you are in the area, I would come back most probably.

It is centrally located walking distance from the main city center. We spend one night in this hotel on our way to Switzerland from Germany. Rooms are small, so as the bathroom, average bed; we had dinner and breakfast in this hotel which was pretty average too.

We have spent 2 nights this april. My room was clean. The bathroom was clean. We ask for an extrabed and they accept this for a small fee. it is a non-smoke hotel. On the fifth floor is a vending machine with beers, coffe, etc. In the period we have been there the hotel was full of young people. The hotel has a nice court with flower and trees. You cand eat and drink something in the yard. The hotel is located in a safe area for tourists. Around the hotel are some mini-markets and in the corner of the hotel it is a small restaurant.
