The rooms are neat and clean, currently they are renovating the 4th floor which is kind of a small inconvenience but 6th floor is completely renovated and the bathrooms are neat, clean and new. Receptionist is kind enough to accommodate early check in due to change in flight timings.
Just an average bland hotel. Being renovated BUT even with the improvements it's average at best. Horrible customer service. Horrible internet. And a very poor example of what a hotel should be... No currency exchange .. No help with finding a rental car... Go somewhere else you'll be happier.
I do believe this hotel is as good as other Mercures, however considering my current staying I classify as bad. I arrived at 4pm after long trip and no sleeping at airplane and I fell asleep... boom!! just few minutes after I finally got some rest, I heard loud noise of drilling machine and my nap was aggressively interrupted. Considering the time, It is acceptable, however the same happened again on the next morning meanwhile I was sleeping. Internet connection is a big problem too. Very slow.
Nice hotel to relax after a long journey just very thing oke its for me as friend of the brand always nice to find a good home room is nice and large and good hospitality and quiet breakfast also good nice place to stay
Got a decent room which looked clean. Free internet is only 512k which is for business hotel really slow location is great if you need to come with a car (really near Autobahn) Staff is friendly I had bad luck: - in my first room there was some AC unit behind the wall making each 30sec annoying sound. So in midnight I changed room. Second room had 2 beds size for kids (I'm average size) - second room had AC which was not really working and light beam in front of the window Result - haven't slept much Breakfast - was fine
We got a room at the ground floor, which was old and dirty, especially in the bathroom. There was an automated coffee-machine, but only tea and cocoa available, and powdered milk. Parking is cheap and just next to the hotel.
for our business and across the street from a very beautiful park. The hotel itself is middle class. Service is very friendly and rooms are okay for a night or two, spacious and light. Beds are comfortable with a nice collection of pillows. The hallways are not very nice and could really use an update which would reflect nicely on the hotel. Breakfast had a good selection of food and again friendly and helpful staff.
Yesterday I slept at Mercure am Friedensplatz and today at an Ibis Budget in Wien. First 10 minutes in the Ibis and I experience the internet connection, hundred times faster than the Mercure. How can a hotel have a 512kb connection (the Mercure of course), put it on the instructions paper and perfectly live with it? How can a Mercure have an air-conditioning system which makes a vibrating sound on the walls which sounds as if the guest next room had left his phone close to the wall and was receiving messages like crazy? Seriously guys, update your hotel. The 3rd star is for the kind lady at the bar, who helped me this morning with breakfast.
I liked the location. It is a brisk walk from the center of the city. I would stay at this hotel again. The hotel is neat and clean. The breakfast is great and the patio is nice to sit down and relax. Cannot walk to the train station. Taxi to the airport is 11 euros.
It was my first visit after the hotel cheanged from Park Inn to Mercure. Hotel still in transition and unfortunately guests have to suffer from it. Reception seems not to be trained and I think I got room for smokers that was supposed to be fully cleaned up but it was not. Be careful and watch feedbacks from others if its improving.
