The property's location is excellent, very central. The issue we had with was regarding the access to the hotel after 10pm. My key would not work and there is no staff available to assist on the premises. There is a machine where you'd have to validate yourself with Last Name, Room number and ZIP code.. tried several times and it did not work. Tried calling and finally someone picked up and let me know that the ZIP code was not entered in the system when I was checked in. She put in a dummy zip code and then the machine validated and was granted access, all this around midnight was an unnecessary hassle. The staff was helpful in sorting out the issue, but an issue that should not have occurred to begin with.
Overall we liked the hotel, location and staff. I would say the room is a little dark for my taste.
Tiny yet cozy single room. Garret placement with a sloping ceiling; the one drawback as I did bang my head moving too quickly after a long day. Comfortable, very clean, great location, and friendly, helpful staff. Great pillows and a nice open window and fan for comfort. I'd return.

What an amazing deal! This hotel was amazing and the price even better! It was right in the heart of Heidelberg downtown, just a few minutes to the Hauptstraße . the staff was great! They give you a welcome cocktail, explain the hotel to you, and are very polite. The rooms are very new and clean and offer a modern/comfortable stay. We enjoyed every minute!

Dear Ganesh, you are correct, the machine prints a new keycard after entering your last name, room number and zipcode. It compares the data you type in with the data we have on file for you. For safety reasons only if everything matches the machine is able to create a new keyard. Unfortunately you did not provide us with your zipcode when you checked-in but left the relevant field on the registration card blank. Since we did not have your zipcode on file, the machine was not able to recognize the one you typed in and was hence not able to give you a new keycard. Sorry, our check-in machine does not have second sight..(yet).. 😊 Best regards
