Rooms are big, as well as the bathrooms. Has stovetop and microwave.

Had difficulties with the original room - staff immediately took care of the problem. Was moved to a new room that was satisfactory.

Room was massively hot and no way to cool the room down. It was literally an oven inside. I'm not exaggerating either! Windows could only be opened a crack. When I addressed the problem to management, they did supply a fan, but that did not help at all. I waited several hours for it to cool down and that never happened. Soaking in sweat from the massive heat, I had to go back down and speak to management again. There was no way anybody could stand the heat in that room it was so bad. They stated the hotel was completely booked and had no other rooms except one in which there was no bathroom lighting. I ended up taking it because at least that room was cool and I'd rather have a room that was bearable to be in temperaturewise than having a bathroom with lights. That is completely unacceptable. They should have never assigned either rooms to anyone if they were not acceptable for a comfortable stay. Fix the problems before trying to rent them out!

the property was very clean. the bathroom needs to be renovated, the shower doors didn't close - you had to take them off the hinge to open/close. in the shower, there is no shelf or room to put a shampoo bottle or soap.

Nice place with good breakfasts included, with a good location.

I stayed in the double room (compact). The hotel appears to be in a safe area and is quite the short walk to bus stops for Bus 1 on the Straeto which will get you to Reykjavik 101 in a half hour or so. Even closer is a popular ice cream shoppe which closes late. Breakfast is solid & includes two types of skyr, various breads & spreads, apple (a little sweet) & orange (a little sour) juice, & various cheeses and cold cuts. The room I stayed in, as I assume is the case with the hotel, is without air conditioning, but one could open a small window if there a feeling of stuffiness. The room was a double bed created by putting two twin beds together. Internet access was fine. For one person, there is ample closet (no luggage rack) & shelf space especially considering the size of the room. The toilet was fine and as others have recommended, one should initially test the shower to get the desired warmth setting before walking in. There is ample storage in the bathroom for toiletries. You can set up a small amount of tours with the front desk if desired; FlyBus and AirportExpress (Gray Line) can also be arranged with the front desk to get back to the airport in Keflavik. Airport Express actually picks you up en route to the airport.

Average, no thrills hotel. Room was small and limited in space especially for two people with large suitcases. Towels are rough but clean. Staff is hit or miss. Some are more friendly than others. Breakfast is the standard bread, cheese, and meats with oatmeal porridge and limited fruit choice. The cost of breakfast is $1200K and is included with your stay. The location of the hotel is good with the bus stop 5 minutes walk away and a grocery store 15 minutes walk and restaurants under 10 minutes.

Room was non smoking but the front bathroom smelled of smoke. Otherwise it was fantastic!

Very quick check in. Room was very clean. WiFi was fast. Would stay again

Great hotel in a great location. The staff was excellent and friendly, but really just about everyone I met in Iceland were super nice...

Good location and good hotel with breakfast. Even a kitchenette! However, there are a lot of thresholds in corridors, not good for carrying bags.

Breakfast was included, which is nice. The room had a good size kitchette with a fridge and microwave. The location was about a 10 minute drive from downtown Reykjavik.

The hotel was nice and cozy, very clean and very affordable. The staff was always punctual and helpful. The breakfast offerings were absolutely fantastic. I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to the Reykjavik area.

Nice big apartment-style room with sink, mini-fridge, and hotplate. Very friendly staff and relatively quiet room. Very comfortable!

Andrew was very knowledgeable and helpful. Room, shower door kept coming off the track every time it was moved to shower. Then when it did shut there was mold in the corner of the door/wall. Location was good.

All good, except the only towels we had in our room were 2 hand towels - for two days in a row. I finally helped myself to shower towels off the service cart as I went by so we had them for the 3rd day. We would stay there again if we went back as the location was good for catching tour buses as well as the city buses plus the staff were very helpful in pointing us in the right direction as to what to see and do. It was on the way to and from the airport.

Fine facilities. Comfortable bed, wonderful shower, and good breakfast.

Hello, We are sad that your experience was not satisfactory. I remember this complaint and we tried as much as we could to make you comfortable (even allowing you to go to a room which was not for rent), but you are right, this was a hot day (which is quite rare in Iceland) and the sun was shining in the windows and made the room warmer than usual. Luckily we usually don't have this problem here in Iceland but I hope you will still be able to keep on the sunny side of life and that your trip in general was good. Best wishes, Bragi Hinrik Magnusson Hotel Manager - Hótel Hraun
