Clean and cozy rooms. Convenient location and the breakfast buffet was great. Helpful people at front desk.

Loved that it was so clean and brand new! Seems like they are redoing the whole hotel. Was happy with complimentary breakfast even though it wasn’t anything special. Love that they have parking but really wish it was bigger. There are extra parking “spots” in the back but it’s really Ghetto! And I’m not sure if this is just an Iceland thing but I’m use to hotels having AC or a fan.... tissue boxes.... more than one trash.. a fan/vent in the bathroom... working phone, and City Park didn’t have any of that. Also wish they had an indoor pool or something to do around the hotel.

The regular rooms were modern and comfortable even if it was the small side. The breakfast was very nice, staff was beyond friendly and helpful with anything I needed and the location is a short walk from various restaurants. I would definitely stay here again next time in Reykjavik

It was located near everything in the downtown area, and was easy for tour pickups. Things that i did not like was finding blood on my pillow and limited parking

Hotel is convenient for those interested in going downtown. Also close to decent eateries.

City Park feels a bit like an American "boutique" hotel-the rooms are very modern and clean but the owners focus more on the concept than the service. The staff was friendly but a bit inattentive--when I arrived to check in and later when I went to the front desk, I found it empty with a "back soon" sign. Rooms are a bit small with no place to put your bags so we were tripping over our suitcases. Location is quiet but about a few kilometers from the Hlemmur restaurant/shopping area and feels very suburban. We were glad we had a car as it did not feel very walkable, although parking is mostly on the street and could be a bit dodgy. Nice that it included breakfast.

Too far to walk to city center, have to walk across busy highways. Heavy bacon grease smell even up to second/third floor. No stores in area, very isolated. No free airport transport.

This hotel is an excellent value. The breakfast is outstanding, the room very clean and comfortable, the staff was extremely helpful and courteous. It is not really walking distance to downtown, however.

Staff was super helpful, called and checked on our tours to confirm pick-up location.

High ratings based on staff , hotel accommodation , and breakfast buffet.

The hotel, while being centrally located, still was considerably far from the downtown area where most activities take place and where the action is... but it is easy to reach by car. The hotel was clean and well-maintained. The rooms are small but comfortable. The hotel is minimalist at best... you get the bare minimum to make your stay fine. We requested an extra pillow each as only one is provided. We went out to get shampoo, rinse, and body wash as these toiletries are not provided. Instead, a generic soap/shampoo/rinse/body wash combination is provided. There were no facial tissues provided in our room either, so we bought those too. The cleaning crew did a reasonable job cleaning the room - sometimes forgot to empty the trash or put in trash bags in the bins, but not a major issue. Breakfast was good. The dinner buffet was also quite reasonable for Iceland prices. The personnel was amazingly nice and always willing to help. Overall, if I go back I would like to stay closer to downtown, but failing that , I will certainly go back to this hotel.

clean rooms and friendly staff, parking was a bit of a challenge...free parking, but not many spots availabe, though we always seemed to find a spot :)

As it is not located in the center of Reykjavik, it was fine for just an overnight and leave early to catch a flight out. Despite being a short overnight stay, I saw many restaurants around, therefore food aplenty and it is located not far from the Grayline Bus Station. It also a 24 hours courtesy counter for hot drinks throughout the day but the hot water availability shoud be more forthcoming instead of having to wait for the staff to boil when asked.

City Park Hotel was cute, clean, and comfortable ... it was also in a good location.

Helpful staff make up for the simplicity of the hotel. Breakfast is available for about $15; with the same menu everyday, other than convenience, not much here. Rooms are simple and simply equipped. There are no phones in the rooms, so if anything is amiss, you have to walk down to the front desk. In the bathroom, the body-wash doubles as shampoo. There's no room service though the front desk is staffed around the clock.

The hotel was exactly what we hoped for in terms of pricing, cleanliness, and convenience. The staff was extremely friendly. We especially appreciated Raquel whose friendliness and helpfulness was top-notch...her restaurant and miscellaneous recommendations made our trip (we saw the Northern Lights due to her superb location recommendation)!

Great hotel with helpful staff. Hotel is a little way away from the downtown (30 minute walk), but lots of easy free parking.

The only complaint I can muster about this motel is that it was hard to find. Perhaps they should say "North side of Armuli 5" in the address. Otherwise, this was a great place to stay! The staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed, including information about the area and things to do and see. We even got a recommendation about a great place to eat! Early check in was no problem whatsoever. The showers are walk in, which is wonderful. I love the big shower head and there is also a smaller one! They even have a towel heater in the shower to warm and dry towels! The room had USB charging ports, which are really handy for phones/tablets. Beds and linens were clean and new and really comfy. I was disappointed about having to pay extra for breakfast, but that's how it is in Iceland!!

La atención buena y el hotel muy bien en sus habitaciones y ubicación. Quizás como recomendación, puedan dar más información sobre el tema de las gasolineras y quizás para los días festivos vender tarjetas de la gasolinera N1 para poder repostar gasolina.

Dear guest, We are so sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay at our Hotel. As you can see in the map and in the description of our place, we are not in the downtown area, but within 15-30 minutes to the the city hall, big church, Concert hall.... There are also many buses leaving from the closest station(1min walk from here), so please if you come again feel free to ask our reception team for guidelines so that you do not get lost! Regarding the bacon smell we are sorry to hear that you could smell it from the third floor, we had never had any complain about it, but we appreciate the information to keep improving our service. About the isolation of the area, we are sorry again that you did not talk to our reception team since we are more than pleased to help our guest discover the surrounding businesses ( There are Supermarkets, pharmacies, stores and plenty of restaurants in the next block) We unfortunately do not offer an Airport shuttle, since there are plenty of companies that offer this service and there are buses going/coming to/from the airport every hour. Hope that next time you decide to come to Iceland you can spend some more time talking to the staff so that we can tell you a little bit more about the area. Best regards
