Pleasant hotel and centrally located. Room is really small (as is the bathroom)..but overall great hotel.

Staff was friendly and helpful! Room was a little small. Breakfast had a good selection.

Great location close to main shopping and restaurants, especially Messinn and Grillmarkadurinn. Metered parking--no hotel parking available. Rooms small but quiet but bathroom exceptionally large. Shorter people will hate the height of the bathroom mirror and in our room the shower kept alternating hot and cold water. Not sure if that is an Icelandic way of conserving hot water or what. :) Loved the hot chocolate at check-in and caramel corn at check-out!

The hotel staff was excellent, friendll and helpful. The hotel is located in the center of town and there is a bar on the corner that plays music loud until 4AM, it is impossible to sleep with ear plugs.

This hotel was dark and dreary. The location wasn't bad, but walking around town we say hotels that were located on quieter streets, and seemed to be a better choice. The hotel is dark and dreary withscratchy sheets.

Great staff! Very helpful booking sightseeing trips for you. They are friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. Great location! Great breakfast that is included with stay. We loved the decor.

It's 2 blocks from bus stop 6 which gets you great transportation. Hotel is very modern. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast is excellent. It is in walking distance to most all Reykjavik sites. There is a bar with live music Thursday through Saturday night that could bother some people trying to sleep. I had no problem. Restaurants within a mile of the hotel are triple the price of US restaurants but grocery store a few blocks away has prices the same as US and gets you snacks and a feel for European food.

My husband and I had an unexpected death in the family. The hotel REFUSED to work with us. We would have taken hotel credit or any other option but we were told there was nothing they could do. Do NOT expect them to work with you in an emergency situation.

Staff and location excellent. There is a bar nearby and noise continued until 3 am

Excellent location in Reykjavik. Could walk to most of our desitnations. The parking is tricky, but not difficult. Just need to park one block up from the hotel and it is fine! The staff was superior and very helpful. It was a fantastic place to start our journey. It was a bit noisy on the second night because of a live band next door, but the staff moved us to an inside room for the next night and it was peaceful and restful.

The hotel was modern and even though our room was small they did a good job using the space. The staff was very helpful and nice

Had a super time. Staff was terrific, food was outstanding.

Great location and convenient to major tourist things. The room is very small. The concrete surrounded tub is a challenge to get in/out of without hurting yourself. The shower fixture and bathroom windows were broken.

Hotel was in the center of town,Hotel was comfortable Staff very welcoming and friendly. Each morning greeted by lovely smile of the staff at the breakfast area.Lot of variety of breakfast foodWw could walk to all the resturant and gift shops and all the attraction. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel

Hotel is close to town and baby restaurants and shops. Staff is extremely friendly

Staff was very helpful making dinner reservations, getting taxis and offering advice. Location was outstanding. Easy walking to museums, Old Harbor, pubs, shopping, and restaurants. The downside of the location was that pubs played late-night music, and if you were on a lower floor, it was tough to sleep.

Great location, cleanliness and helpful staff. The 'blackout shades' did a good job blocking the midnight sun, also.

Only critcism is that my view was the back of other buildings. The staff were excellent, every one I met!

The Center Hotel Thingholt could not have been a better choice for my brief 4 day stay in Reykjavik. The location of the hotel for my in town activities was superb. Don't be put off by the somewhat banal appearance of the exterior of the building because once you pass through the entry doors you enter a beautifully designed and welcoming atmosphere for your stay. I am partial to clean contemporary interiors and this was just right. The staff at every level was superb throughout my stay. I will certainly return to the hotel Thingholt on my next visit to Reykjavik.

We had a great time staying at the Centerhotel Thingholt. The best thing was the location, just around the corner from the main shopping street, and within walking distance of most major attractions. Breakfast was good, staff was friendly, room was clean, though on the small side, but you don't come to Iceland to stay in the hotel room all day. I've read other comments about the noise but didn't have any problem with our room facing the street. I had earplugs with me and could not hear the loud partying outside on the Friday.
