Not fancy but everything you need and in an amazing location

There is a bar downstairs and it plays all night long. We had to leave for our flight around 4AM and the beat at the bar was still pumping so loud that I could feel it through the floor. Needless to say, I got no sleep at all.

First room smelled of urine and mold. They did change my room which was much better, but cleanliness was still questionable, there was unwrapped candy in a corner leftover from a previous guest. Also, paint chips everywhere, faulty television and minimal cold breakfast, mainly consisting of oats and bread.

Nice hotel on Main Street with shops and restaurants close by. Friendly and helpful staff . Room basic but clean and fairly quiet.

The hotel was in the center of downtown and close to everything. The hotel was roomy and warm; however, the bathroom could use some work ( a better shower head) since it wasn't working great and it was a bit rusty.

The hotel was a great choice for a short stay. The room was clean and well kept. Location was great. Short walks to all the attractions in town. Good breakfasts. Only negative was the street noise from the bars on the weekends, but would still recommend staying there.

This was a first trip to Reykjavik for both me and my sister. The twin bed room on the 4th floor was perfect for us with every amenity we could have wished for. Staff was very helpful providing maps and even a guide book for the area, and help arranging transport back to the airport. The location is at the center of the shopping district, no car was necessary. The breakfast buffet was beautifully prepared and ample for any plans for the day.

Iceland is an expensive destination. This hotel, at $170 Euros was actually a pretty good value, but it is not fancy. Nice breakfast is included and served in a sunny room. The sleeping rooms are comfortable, but small and basic. Staff is helpful and friendly. It is located on a main shopping street which is mostly pedestrian, so easy access to stores, coffee shops and restaurants. Bus service to the airport was about $15 U.S., again not bad for a pricey destination. There are three steps to the front door, then another four to get to the elevator, so this is a challenge for some. Having said that, Iceland is the outdoors loving, physically active person's dream.

While the room wasn't terribly big, the location was fantastic and it was definitely a good deal. The breakfast was near-perfect with a good selection of cereals, breads, fruit, yogurt, etc. I think the only negative I could add was the parking situation, but I didn't mind having to walk a couple of blocks to where I parked the rental car.

We wanted a hotel to overnight after visiting the Blue Lagoon. Our flight was 8 AM the following morning. The FlyBus let us out about a block from the hotel because it was too large for the narrow street in front of the hotel. To enter the hotel you must climb a couple of very tall stone steps and once inside climb another short flight of stone steps before reaching an elevator. This may be a problem for someone with a heavy suitcase. We had room 202 which has two twin beds pushed together. The beds are comfortable and clean. The room has only about two feet of space between the foot of the bed and the dresser. We found one outlet to charge our computer. The staff was friendly and provided great service and the room was clean.

As the name suggests, the location is right at the heart of the city center, very convenient. The hotel staff are very friendly and happy to answer all sorts of travel related questions. However, the cleanliness of the room is just acceptable especially the bedding and pillow. The included breakfast buffet is just the standard set-up, nothing fancy but it gets the job done.

Good place to stay in central location. Within walking distance to several great restaurants and shops.

The hotel was in a great location, right next to shops and downtown area. However, the rooms were small and the entrance is really at the side (as opposed to what you see in the picture (by the pharmacy). The rooms are also small, though breakfast was good.

excellent location in the heart of downtown reykjavik... Cheap, clean, nothing to fancy but not dingy... You're on the strip with all the bars, restaurants and shops. If you'de like to go out at night, spend your money on food etc, but not sacrifice being in a gross hotel this is for you. Staff is helpful. I'm curious for the breakfast... All the food has been amazing though, so I'm sure I'll be pleased. I love you iceland!!!

Quality customer service! Hotel reps were very friendly and very informative. Definitely would stay there again. Room was clean and location was excellent!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was on point, and everything you need in the city is in walking distance.

Great location on one of the busiest and most iconic streets. Very Friendly staff. Complimentary Breakfast is nothing fancy but gets the job done. The cleanness of bedding didn't meet our expectations.

Location couldn't be better! Right on main street, which is closed to vehicles much of the day and has many nice shops. Comfy room. Free light continental breakfast. Coffee, o.j., toast (white or very hearty German style wheat) hard boiled eggs, apple pastries, yoghurt, granola and musli cereal in sunny breakfast room. Free internet with good Wi-Fi. Only complaint would be sound of washing machines above us during the day (room 206).

Pleasantly surprised by how big the room was! Very clean. Staff was very responsive and arranged transport for us to and from the airport.

Great location! Tourist heaven right at the door step of the hotel. The amenities and it's location as well as good selection of breakfast overshadow the small space of the hotel room. The staff are so friendly and helpful.
