PROS: great view if you pay extra to have the Bay/Mountain view; nice enough staff, but hospitality could use some work; cleaning staff did a great job keeping our room clean; wifi included; included breakfast buffet (can be very busy though and hard to find a place to sit) CONS: small rooms; no air in hotel room (no fan or central air) and rooms get hot - the only thing you can do is open a tiny window, but then you have to contend with all the street and traffic noise; useless blackout shade - light comes in on the sides and keeps the room bright at all times; unless you get the most expensive room in the place, you do not get shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc and no bathrobe or slippers; bathroom does not have a tub unless you get the most expensive room (it's your bathroom floor with a swing out plastic wall so you are literally showering in fron of the bathroom sink, water goes everywhere); beds are very soft including pillows (no support); walls are VERY thin - could hear all noises around and above, doors slamming at all hours, people talking in the hall, etc.

I needed to alter and extend my stay with this hotel. They refused to answer my emails, and wouldn't talk to Orbitz either. In the end, I lost $200, and never got to stay in this hotel. I arrived very early in the morning (about 4am) before checkout, but they wouldn't answer my request to allow me to at least shower and take a quick nap in the room I paid for. I stay in about 40 hotels a year, and this was bad service. Avoid this hotel to avoid a headache.

Great location near shopping and restaurants. Beautiful views of the water.

Female receptionist at check-in was not pleasant at all and clearly doesn't enjoy her job. Male receptionist at check-out was nicer. Hotel room was very cramped and had one very small, skinny window; barely any room to place an open suitcase anywhere without blocking doors or walkways.

Perfect location but not a luxury stay. Only prob was at the end when I was using a "clean" towel to dry my hair and a used bandaid fell out of it. That said, the staff was absolutely lovely and so helpful so I'll forgive the bandaid incident.

This hotel has a great location. Easy walk to everywhere. Restaurant at the top has a great view and food is excellent. Second time we have stayed there. Only draw back is the bathroom. A bit small by U.S. standards, but acceptable. I have recommended it many times.

Great view from the lounge & a great selection of food at breakfast and dinner. The staff is excellent and very polite.

the hotel was conveniently located and had very friendly and helpful staff. the room was small with very limited clothes storage. bathroom did not have ammenities......shampoo, conditioner, etc. the shower had a moveable plastic shield that did not prevent shower from raining all over the small bathroom. a squeegee was provided to push the water from the bathroom floor down the floor drain.

This hotel is great. The Location is excellent, just a few steps of the main attractions of the city. Beware that not all the rooms have a view to the sea. The breakfast in the las floor is a plus for incredible pictures.

This hotel was perfect! It is centrally located and within walking distance to everything. It is right across the street from the Harpa, which had an amazing show. As well as across the street from paths leading to many different statues including the sun voyager. The hotel itself was perfect for a solo traveler. Great location, had all the basic amenities, breakfast was good, and it included an amazing view. The staff were also very helpful. They let me store my bags while I was out on a tour before my flight and were very good in directing me to different places. I would definitely stay here again.

The first room we got was a standard room. I didn't think it would be so small. The next day, we upgraded to a superior room which was much better. The staff was very helpful in the change. Overall, the staff was very helpful and friendly. It is in an excellent location within walking distance to shopping.

We stayed for one night and overall okay satisfied. However, our rooms were located on the ground floor just next to a road/parking lot and walking path, so some noise during the night. Moreover we couldn't see where to turn the heat on in our rooms. Very nice and helpful staff and good location for a stay in central Reykjavik.

The staff was great. They were very helpful with tips for things to do and where to eat locally. They even made reservations for us. Great location to the Harpa and the marina. Short walk to the main shopping and dining area of town. The view out to the bay is amazing! The only complaint is the strange shower. There is only a moving glass barrier to prevent water from spraying your whole bathroom. The drain to the shower in in the middle of the bathroom floor.

Great, thank you.........................................................

Clean, modern hotel with lovely amenities. The view from the included-breakfast-room was breathtaking, and it was only a short walk to all the best destinations in the city center. Would highly recommend!!

We spent 3 great days in Reykjavik. Very good view at the bar on the roof

It was a business trip. It fit perfect for the purpose, very quit and friendly staff.

Great hotel .very good free breakfast every morning. Close to town and great view overlooking the mountains

The hotel was great, the location is perfect just the wifi was awful, didn't work in our rooms and barely worked in the lobby and sky deck. The staff was outstanding so helpful and would go out of their way to make us feel welcome!!!

Great hotel, helpful staff, great location and view.
