I've stayed at the Super 8 on East Victoria in Regina at least eight days in the last six months and absolutely no one has promoted or told me how the Wyndham Rewards program works or how it benefits me or how I can participate in the program. As to whether I'm a Wyndham Rewards member, I don't think I am because no one has told me how to apply.Very poor communication .
We stay fairly regularly at the hotel so I can attend medical appointments. We appreciate being able to bring our 2 dogs with us. Because we bring our dogs we stay in the older portion of the hotel, but the room has always been comfortable and clean. Staff is very helpful, breakfast is good - lots of choices.
I’ve been travelling from Toronto through the US and stopped here on my way to Edmonton and I have to say, this room was gross. I booked it while driving so I didn’t have much time to check out the images well enough. For the same price, the value of the hotel I stayed at last night was great. Clean, new and uplifting decor. I came into this room and it’s dark, old and drab. The bathroom is FILTHY looking and OLD. This is my pet peeve with hotels: dirty and old. If people are paying to stay there then the building should be updated, it’s 2018. The bed has the nastiest linens. This has by far been my worst stay of the trip. It needs an update! There are way more updated hotels in the area at the same rate or a few dollars more.
The room was clean, beds very comfortable. Staff person at the desk was very informative about what was going on in Regina. Enjoyable stay. Liked the continental breakfast, better than most, gave us extra coffee for the room.
I spent 3 nights at the Super 8 in Regina on East Victoria Avenue just lately. The price point was excellent. Their proximity to restaurants, shopping and main roads is superb. The continental breakfast does just what you need to kick start your day! I always appreciate these little benefits. Even though I was in an older room, it was decent and clean. When checking in I was greeted by a very friendly desk clerk and well informed on what they have to offer. There was one day, however, that cleaning staff did not tidy up the room, so that also meant that coffee, etc. Was not replenished-which also meant I did not leave a tip, which I would normally do. When checking out I was going to bring this to the attention of a different clerk working the desk, but they didn’t bother asking if I had enjoyed their property. Definetley, I would stay here again, but would address any problems immediately, rather than waiting.
Booked this room to attend my moms funeral and left super disappointed. Upon c/i there was a sock on the floor in our room. Having to leave I told the desk agent. "you're lucky it was only a sock" was her response. Got back late and further found an invoice from a previous guest and dirty sheets on one of the beds. Slept in the clean bed and told the desk agent in the morning. They stripped the whole room and things were clean when I returned that day. The am and pm desk agents were different people but with the same bad attitude. No greeting as we walked through the lobby(if they were even there), most of the time they were outside smoking. I can see where they got their training since the manager was notified of the issues I encountered and did nothing. I would have expected a rate reduction for the poor service and room issues. He said he would and there was a full charge for the room on my cc and no partial refund when I checked out. Clearly they do not care to have repeat guests, because, I won't be back and I made sure all my friends heard about the experience I had
The area around the Hotel was good and there was a Fuddruckers on the same side of the road which being from Alberta I haven't seen one for over 20 years. When I first entered the Hotel there was a strange odor in the air I didn't really care much for. The lady who checked me in didn't seem happy to be there and wasn't all that friendly. After the smell in the lobby I was worried to see what the room was going to look and smell like. The room was awesome very clean, appeared to be quite new as everything was quite pristine. Didn't notice any problem with cracks or broken tiles. I have stayed at many different Super 8's and payed more for way less. This was by far one of the nicest I have stayed at. The bed was comfortable but I didn't like the foam pillows but I always hate foam pillows. Not sure how many people where actually staying there but I rarely heard any noise around my room and it was easy to fall asleep. When I went downstairs for breakfast the smell was completely gone and there was fruit, yogurt, cereal, toast, scrambled eggs and sausages which was good, waffles and probably more I missed. There was several urns of coffee as well 3 types of juices and tea. The breakfast was very good, just like the Hotel.
Stay at this location for 6 nights over 2 weeks and had no issues what so ever. As usual, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would come back again.
My husband and I booked a jacuzzi suite in August for our stay this weekend. We are goodlife fitness members so we get a discount on the room rate(which is besides the point). We drove from Prince Albert for an event and to celebrate our anniversary. Once we arrived at the hotel(a few minutes past 4pm) we were then notified that they didn’t have a jacuzzi suite for us. The front desk attendant started looking into it and mentioned that someone had extended their stay to 5 nights, so they were still in the room. Then the next thing out of her mouth was that the online booking had double booked it and that because it was such a good deal everyone was booking it. So which is it... the online booking or someone extending their stay and staff ok’d it?! She then called her boss and was told there was nothing they could do but put us in a king room for 15.00 off the nightly rate... which we declined. She then called her boss back and got approval to give us the staff nightly rate.. which due to travelling 4 hours and not wanting to drive home we accepted but not happily! If it wasn’t for the event we were looking forward to our romantic weekend would have been ruined thanks to this hotel. My advice to anyone wanting to stay here is to call before you arrive to make sure they have the room you booked!
Newly renovated with ample parking. Location is great, near major shopping. Free breakfast was good, but best to stay away from the eggs. Staff wasn’t the friendliest, but they got us what we needed. Rooms were clean, no issues there.
