Unfortunately scheduled a business trip during their renovations. They had first put me on the 7th floor and I had construction going on directly on the floor above me and below me. The construction noise continued till about 10pm at night and started back up at 6am in the morning the next day. I had turned down the thermostat at night from 72f to 67f woke up the next morning to a very cold room at 65f. I turned the temp back up to 72f and left for work. I arrived back in the room about 7pm and the room was still freezing and the heating unit was just blowing cold air. I called front desk and the maintenance guy came right away and checked the unit. Luckily he told the staff to move me to a different room and I was moved to the 10th floor. Because of this I was able to get a much better nights sleep the second night because it was much quieter. I'm glad they are renovating as the hotel definitely needs it, and I'm sure my stay would be better were it not -31c outside and the hotel wasn't going through renos.
Required 16 rooms on 2 days notice and Ramada pulled it off. Respectable rate of $132/night for queen rooms. Plenty of parking underground and next door. $10 breakfast buffet was hot and plentiful. Some made mention of work/room renovations taking place on lower floors and would have preferred to be higher or on opposite side but everyone survived.
We had an early departure at Regina airport and found that this hotel was within a reasonable distance. The hotel was clean and staff very helpful. Close to Regina casino which we took advantage of and also within walking distance of restaurants.
I stayed at the Ramada Plaza in downtown Regina a number of times in the past 4 months on business. At times reservations are made ahead, sometimes last minute. The reservation and check in staff are always friendly and welcoming. The location is central and very convenient to downtown and the Legislature Building.
We stayed here Dec 31. There were parties, doors slamming in the hallways. We mentioned this to the front desk but nothing was done. We were travelling with a toddler and baby. There was no sleep to be had. Rooms were disgusting - carpets were stained, dust was visible in every corner of the room, furniture was worn, fabric chairs were stained, and leather desk chair was worn. Bathrooms had leaking toilets, shower tap had a constant leak and the shower did not drain. The photos on the website were deceiving! The foyer of the hotel is nice - that's all. The dirty carpet was probably the worst part of the stay - I did not allow my toddler to walk around without socks on. Will never stay at this hotel again!!! We told the clerk at checkout about all these issues and were NOT offered any compensation.
When staying in Regina I always stay at the Ramada. For over 20 years I have been staying there. Staff may change over time but not the service. The welcome and friendliness is what keeps bringing me back. I always feel at home.
The air conditioner didn't work and the room did not get cooler than 74 degrees. It made sleeping very uncomfortable and sweaty. Called front desk, service man did try to fix it and we were offered another room but we wanted to stay next to family as we were there for my fathers funeral.
The staff are always very accommodating. The food in the restaurant is very good at resonable prices. Rooms are always clean and beds comfortable.
I like to thank the Ramada for overbooking their hotel on the weekend of Nov 24th. We booked online through Wyndham for a 2 night stay in a double queen room. After spending the day at Agribition we arrived to check in at 10:30pm to the front desk clerk telling us that our reservation was UNAVAILABLE! We were tired & non impressed. The rooms were booked Nov 3rd. They didn't even have a king room with a pull out couch to accommodate our family of 4. They could however offer us a single room with 1 queen bed. Yes please!! Thanks Ramada...perfect for 2 adults & 2 teenagers! They called the hotel manager in at 11pm to resolve the issues as a 2nd family arrived with reservation confirmation numbers & no rooms!! Well done Ramada/Wyndham
Been there for work. Room are pretty and modern. I almost broke the shower when I wanted the turn on the water, but maybe I'm just a dummy. Great location, you can easy walk to downtown, bars, restaurants, mall and more. Underground parking. Every time I go there, I'm got the pool area all for myself, which is nice ! And that area is so pretty !!
