Days Inn Regina SK2.0 out of 5.0

I had the pleasure of visiting Regina for several extended stays. One hotel that met all my expectations, and more, is the Days Inn (Eastgate). Friendly staff, from management through all departments and levels. Clean modern amenities in the spacious rooms. Comfortable beds and furniture. Attractive price point. Great location close to shopping and groceries, on a bus route. I made use of their pool, waterslide and 2 hot tubs and had the place to myself. Breakfast is outstanding - the fresh pancakes are literally THE reason I have stayed here for over 3 weeks in 2017! It has the usual hot continental fare, but it's different daily and there's an excellent dining area to enjoy your free hot breakfast.
Spent a comfortable night at Days Inn, staff friendly and room was clean and comfortable. Easy access off the highway .
Checked in late and went to sleep right off. Great location for those who are heading north on way to Al-Can Highway. Right on main crossroads and fine for my needs. Place was clean, staff was very helpful!! Would stay again!
we loved the pool nice and hot but it was full of unsupervised children climbing up the slide and yelling etc. someone only came to watch them maybe 45 mins later but that didnt help hotel room was great and big. we stayed in room 216 but the airconditioner was crazy loud which made it hard to sleep. also the walls were pretty thin so in the morning we could hear the cleaning staff cleaning the bathroom next to us and banging the vacuum against the adjoining door. also could her them talking about their personal lives in the hallway we would stay again but hope the pool would be less busy. and maybe a quieter room
Room felt dirty. Bathtub looked dirty. Room smelt dirty. No internet service, although it was connected to wifi. Spend your money elsewhere.
It had been a couple of years since our last stop over at Days Inn. Everything was better than last time.
The hotel was clean, the kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool and waterslide, and the free breakfast was great. Most importantly, the staff was very friendly and accomodating. This is a well-priced hotel in a good location, near restaurants and shopping. We will certainly stay again.
The staff was very nice and courteous. The room was adequate for the three of us (clean and fairly roomy). The breakfast was fine. I booked this hotel for the use of the pool after we finish work which was about 8 to 9 pm every night. We are vendors at the Regina Comic Con so we travel a lot. The pool was packed with teenage girls for a local dance competition in town so we were unable to use it Fri. and Sat. (just too many screaming girls). We were hoping to use it Sun. night but one of the girls puked in the pool and screwed it up for us (Pool was closed for safety reasons). This is not the fault of the hotel but darn....it would be nice to make it "adults only" after a certain time (maybe 10-11pm). The biggest turnoff was the internet, it was terrible. We stayed in room 101 and thought it might be the location but found it was bad in the lobby as well. Internet was constantly up and down during our whole stay. The beds were very soft and sinks in. The pillows would split in half when you lie on them (not good). I do not plan to ever return to this hotel. We normally stay at Hampton Inn but wanted a change for this year but we will probably go back to Hampton for next year. Reservation #1216914
A good stay however disappointed with the breakfast options. The french toast instead of scrambled eggs option was not good for me. For example the next night I stayed at a Day's Inn in Brandon and they had cheese omelets. Much better protein option for someone like me that has a long work day ahead of them. I heard other workers grumbling as well.
We visited this hotel as a family with two children under 2 years old. Everything was fine until we got into our room. The room had an overwhelming stench of garlic. It was obvious the previous guest had enjoyed their food to the fullest. It was so bad, we were concerned our luggage would keep the smell. I alerted the front desk and they were helpful. They sent housekeeping up and sprayed a lot of deodorant. The deodorant was effective and largely removed the smell for which we were grateful. However, it left us wondering what sort of chemicals we were exposing our young children to if such a strong smell could be killed so quickly. We really appreciated the attentiveness of the staff in resolving the situation. In the future, if a similar situation were to arise we would prefer being moved to a different room and then have housekeeping look after this while the room was vacant. Outside of this incident, the hotel is quite nice.
