Super 8 Redding

Check in staff was friendly. Rooms very clean, though basic (no couch, only one chair). Shower, lamps, a/c etc worked fine. Waffle maker available at breakfast. Pool and hot tub looked clean. Great as a road trip stop over for our family of four.

Arrived exhausted from driving and king size was very comfortable. Sheets could be improved with less scratchy quality. Room was small, but adequate. Breakfast was usual. Don't usually choose Super 8, but location, price, and last minute availability were factors. It filled the bill nicely. Room decor is very bland, but apparently updated. Flooring was wood look LVT rather than carpet. Could have used some area rugs or mats by bedsides.

I had used Orbitz as I was unable to contact them directly.

Quite and conveniently located off of I-5. There's a nice little Mexican restaurant in a mini strip mall across the street. A bit of a dive but like many of them, the food is what you go for and it was really good.

Great staff. Like new facility. Quite place. Easy access. Good breakfasr.

I had reserved a handicapped accessable room, I even called the day before my arrival to confirm my reservation. When I arrived at the hotel I was told the handicapped accessable room was out of order and had been for a couple of weeks. Needless to say, I was not a happy camper. Luckily the Best Western had a handicapped room available.

Check in was very pleasant. The lady that helped check in was awesome. All was good. Only thing people above us where a little noisy.

Enjoyed our stay. Bed was nice and firm, just wish the pillows were.

This is a pleasant, well kept, well located hotel. It is close to a busy main highway, but surprisingly quiet. The drive to dining, shopping and the fly shop:easy. There is a simple but adequate breakfast (free), The staff is pleasant. Parking is ample; TV, internet support is up to date.

We arrived and were met by the desk clerk who was having a smoke just outside the main entrance. She finished her smoke while we waited a couple of minutes for her to return to the front desk. It was nice of her to leave the "I'll be back shortly" sign on the desk. How thoughtful and considerate of her not to keep us waiting for more than a couple of minutes. After hearing her life story (she and her husband are moving to the outback of Montana this week to get away from it all and to live off of the land) we finally got our room key. Look out Montana!! What I gleaned through it all was that this motel used to be a place for hookers and drugies to do their thing. Since they no longer accepted cash for rooms, their regular clientel moved on. $1M worth of renos were done and the place is what it is today. Fairly nice actually. We would stay there again.

Stayed here for several years on our annual trip to Whiskeytown Lake, has steadily declined and was horrible this time. Weeds all over outside, sprinklers broken, water wasted. Telephone and tv in room didn't work, vending machines out of order, nin smoking rooms smelled of smoke, changed rooms, new room no microwave and hair in the bathroom. Continental breakfast left a lot to be desired. Will not stay again.

Room wasn't ready by noon. Breakfast was lacking in supplies i.e., no bowls for cereal had to use cups...

For a cheap grad student traveling for a one-night stay, this place was fine. Beds were clean, room was OK. Coffee in the morning. Solid place for traveling on a budget. A few miles from "downtown," but since Redding is so small it wasn't that far off the beaten path.

Overall about what you expect, except that the rooms really smell like an old run down motel. Thought I could deal with it for one night, but finally had to be moved to another room as the smell was out of control. The second room was a little better, but still not what most would find acceptable. I will not be returning to this location.

The clerk told us we should got for n upstairs room because they we expecting a full house and the noise overhead might be a bit much. He put us upstairs on the end closest the road. The traffic noise was enough to keep us awake most of the night, and that added to various people talking on their cell phones at all hours right under the window. I might give this place another chance in another room somewhere else in the building.

uncomfortable bed and very noisy place to stay friendly staff

Cleaning staff was loud and talkative in the morning. The Tub didn't work for the whole stay. The water in the shower was cold and although it says free wifi internet not if you're staying in the West wing.

I have stayed at this motel yearly for the last dozen years. It has improved a great deal over the years. The rooms are cleaner, the bathrooms updated and breakfast offers a much greater variety.

Great value, great staff, indoor hot tub, wake up to waffles, good food close by. Three days without any problems. I hated to leave.
