In 2003, I was forced to stay at this hotel because of a blizzard. That it was a roof over my head until the highway cleared was about all I could say good about it. It was a terrible experience, with no heat, rusty fixtures, and springy beds that should have been burnedr. My daughter and I could only laugh about for years. Last week, I was unable to fix any accommodation else where. The only thing I could find was this place through the internet. I was dismayed to pull in and realize it was the same place. BUT what AN IMPROVEMENT! For the value that we spent, I was surprised and delighted that the rooms had been completely gutted and reworked. I found little to complain about, though the breakfast bar was a bit lacking in variety. Still, I was glad to see that something had been made out of a building that I would have advised being bulldozed ten years ago. It's got a ways to go to get up to local standards, but still - a pleasant surprise.

Very uncomfortable, you can hear all the noise outside and around you. Cheap but still not worth it! stay at your own risk

I was stopping in Red Deer, as I was meeting my son in Penhold the next morn. The room was ok, The carpets around the base of the beds were filthy. The girl at the front desk seemed bothered that I interupted her evening when I walked in. I am Guest Services in a Casino and believe me if I treated a customer like they were interupting me I would lose my job! The price I paid was ridiculous as friends stayed in a full service hotel for the same price and felt like they were royalty.
