The Inn At Reading

3.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Poor water pressure, intermittent hot water and not very clean.

A very noisy convention of bowlers seemed to stretch the capacity of the staff to provide adequate and timely service (e.g. room service, daily room cleaning, etc.) Restaurant staff seemed numb (maybe overwhelmed from convention and Father's day business?)

I love staying there as much now as I had in the past. I will always want to stay there when in Reading PA. I had a great visit with family & the room was perfect for me. The beds are soooo comfortable & room very clean.

Checked in on November 11,2016 with confirmation number and they claimed they did not see breakfast included in my itinerary so charged me for breakfast. I went back the following morning with a copy of my itinerary showing clearly breakfast was included for 2 adults and supervisor on duty Kayla refused to honor it. I paid twice for breakfast so although the rooms were decent I left there very disappointed in their service.

Close to a large variety of food and shopping. Rooms were clean and well stocked. Mostly quiet and the staff were very friendly and helpful. All in all a good stay at a good price.

Perfect location for the VF Outlets and the Santander Arena. Hotel is very clean and quiet. Staff is very friendly and courteous. Sunday breakfast buffet was awesome! Only thing that I found disappointing, is that the bar/restaurant closes at 11pm. This is not a major issue, just a personal preference. Overall, fantastic!

Enjoyable stay! Check in was smooth. Cupcakes were a great touch. Location to the Jazz show was very convenient. Great pub meal. Breakfast selections were good

Very nice hotel! Close to everything: bars, restaurants, and stores.

Room and staff were great. It would have been perfect if the rooms had small refrigerator to store my insulin, had to use ice bucket instead.

This place is clearly showing its age, but it's still OK. The rooms are fine, but the common areas could use a makeover. The pool is outdoors, which was not obvious before we got there. The layout of the buildings is kind of weird, probably because they added on over the years. The breakfast buffet was awesome.

The hotel was clean enough, and the amenities were what you would expect with a hotel of this caliber. The price was a bit high, but we though that would be offset by the hot breakfast that was included with the room. We were wrong - although the online listing lists the hotel as serving free breakfast, that is only available on Monday-Friday. Weekend travellers do not get a free hot breakfast. Other than that, things were fine. Just be aware that the listing is misleading.

I like the stay but the old setting can use some renovation. Carpet needs replaced..was diggy looking and soiled inn spots. Drapes need to be changed...keep the old look but need new ones. They are olddddddddddddddd. Also the upholstery was also old and soiled. Keep the furniture but change the upholstery. Otherwise, good place for the price. Bedding was great!!

I made a reservation at this Inn in Reading through Orb and paid for it 4 days before arrival. When I came to this hotel, I was told there was no room reserved for me by the receptionist by the name of Miley. " The reason is that you made it through Exp" . I said I made it through . "that the same"she said "we have your resevation here, but no room for you , you have to take a smoking room" With 2 children and my wife in the car , I was not going to argue with her. The room was dirty and smelled moldy and smoky. The next morning I was also told that " Breakfast was not included" although their website advertised "complementary hot breakfast" I would recommend to stay away from this hotel.

Room was large, lots of space but curtains didn't shut all the way, one light didn't work and low water pressure when flushing toilet. Location was superb and I would probably stay there again.

Only problem was our non-smoking room we booked smelled like cigarettes, as well as the entire building we were in. After we aired out the room, the stay was spectacular.

The hotel was wonderful for our stay. It was conveniently located for our shopping trip & near any number of restaurants. The breakfast was great for starting the morning with a nice selection for everyone. Couldn't beat the value.

Picked this hotel because it was convenient for my neice and her family to join us, because they had a great pool and convenient breakfast was included. The hotel could use some "updating" but otherwise very clean, friendly staff, plenty of parking, good value for the money.

I thought the Inn was a good value. It's an older facility than others in the area. Very clean and includes all the amenities one would expect for business travel. Good restaurant with friendly staff.

Clean, comfortable, close to campus and shops.
