Our stay was extremely enjoyable and the staff were helpful, the food and service was excellent. Lovely large beach garden rooms, great location adjacent to a wonderful beach with plenty of beach umbrellas and swimming pools within the grounds. On arrival we had a slight problem with room allocation for our three generation family, but the problem was speedily resolved by the Duty Manager, Sherif Aboul Nasr who was absolutely brilliant.....thank you!
Another staycation away from Dubai and another stay on points. Could not fault the welcome, the pre-arrival emails, the diamond member recognition including the fabulous cake. We had the meat and seafood brunch (extravagant package) and found the food and drinks to be superb - exceptional value with a wonderful beach side setting and music. The next day a late check out and beach and pool - both terrific. This is where Hilton really excels. Two little let downs. We went to Trader Vic’s for a drink and evening snack and were charged AED15 for a small bottle of water. Seriously? Lunch by the pool on day 2 was let down by extremely leisurely service, mediocre food and a relatively blasé response from the server when I questioned what the delay had been. Still, my impression of Friday remained so high we will go back there again very soon.
I have recently returned from a week at the Al Hamra Hilton Hotel, which was very nice, very clean with on the whole very friendly staff. Our room was very spacious and of a high standard, the resort is quiet which was perfect for our requirement. My only gripe is "all Inclusive". The hotel is FAR from all inclusive you basically get an "amount" to spend after which you are then charged for anything else even lunch at the beach bar would end up costing you extra. Now the amounts involved are very small in total we spent another £200.00 over the week its more the principle. I would recommend the hotel, but advise going Non inclusive
Poor experience on arrival. I bought a package for me and my family to have free transfer, when we got to the airport there was no transfer arranged. This was very frustrating at 1 am in the morning. The hotel were not helpful, so I had to call the airline I booked the package with. The Airline confirmed the error was on behalf of Hilton Al Hamra. Our remaining stay was pleasant.
Great stuff - friendly, nice, helpful, perfect room (big, clean, beautiful view from balcony), good restaurant, drinks, beautiful lobby, very nice and comfortable, beautiful gardens, very good pools It was our second stay in this hotel and we will definitely think about visiting this hotel again
Very clean Place, pool like a bath, lifeguards on duty until the last person left the pool, sand on beach quite course but the sea water was beautiful and again life guard always on duty. Upgraded garden room was huge with two double beds, sofa table and chairs, walk in wardrobe and large bathroom. Everything was so clean, all staff so friendly and always willing to help. Fastest hotel Wi Fi I've seen so far on holidays. Only downsides were no evening entertainment and nowhere to go at night except a walk to the mall a mile away
Booked via secrete escapes and got 40% off apparently. The hotel in its setting is nice and beach and sea excellent and clean. The hotel is good and not opulent like others but clean and tidy. Staff were great all helpfull and plesent but not engaging. The pub is good food and atmosphere and the Lebanese restaurant great food and atmosphere and belly dancing good show. The lunch bbq great food and choice but had to pay supplement as we were all inclusive for most drinks. More resorts are excluding some premium restaurants to make more money. Would recommend the Dubai trip we did via our tour operator to to see the old town soaks and a mosk plus the Atlantis palm, Burj khalifa and fountain show. The largest mall in the world and the museum to sees Dubai’s rich history, which is very interesting. Water taxi over the old river. The golf course is fantastic but expensive, would recommend playing late in the day as it’s cooler. Played twice with a buggy which is a must. Lots of interesting birds around the course and great views. Quality and layout of the course is great. I would recommend this hotel for what we wanted, pool beach spa and golf to just have some quality time together. Maybe we would not have a family holiday here as there is not too much to do for kids.
Check in ladies visibly stressed hotel is full - no genuine smile or warmth No offer of a welcome drink or cold towel. ( it was very warm in reception) Guest Service - called to request 2 extra glasses for the room( there was only 2 in the room ) we are 3 people waited more than 30 minutes then gave up and left the room. Off to the pool - crowded - small - noisy - no waiter service or pool bar - towels on every Lounger , seriously not relaxing - Then at 420 pm they blast out some music from a speaker and a woman starts doing Zumba pool classes - we just wanted to relax this was too much . Left the pool went back to the room. Out for dinner we are half board - the main Buffett Resturant is busy and the food quality and choice is less than average so we move to the bar scirocco and order pub food. We had already explained to the First server that we are half board to which he said was not applicable in this outlet ( reception had informed we get a 60AED credit per person) - after much deliberation he confirmed that it was and a credit would be offset against the bill. When it came to settle the bill a new server stated a credit was not applicable this was just too much - feeling like we were trying to get something for free we left the Resturant and informed reception to sort it out - in particular internal communication. This is day 2 of our supposedly relaxing break - to which we have paid £270 per night. Feeling that the quality and service was so much better when this hotel was previously Al Hamra Fort So disappointed didn’t expect this of a Hilton. Came back to the room after day 1 with a headache . Most definitely not worth £270per night.
Obviously any review will be personal opinion so I will try to keep to facts and let you make your own mind up. We travelled in October half term so expected it to be busy with children it was. We travelled as a couple with our teenage daughter. We arrived late at night almost 1am, check in was quick, we stayed in beach front villa room. Very large and spacious direct access to beach. Room was clean, air con worked well, large shower very cool, almost cold , did tell reception twice but now last day of holiday and still the same. However shower over bath, nice and warm, plenty of towels each day. We were all inclusive and I think for price we paid very good value. We found breakfast and lunch to be better food and variety than evening meal, but that's just our opinion. We spent most of time on beach as pools full of young children and we have gone past that now, however, pool open to 8 pm which is nice so we swam after 6pm. Pools and grounds spotless and well kept. We took trip to the Dubai mall hotel organise shuttle twice a week, book in advance if going as we did in school hols as does get booked up. Great day out although very tired when we retuned, be aware journey is at least 1.5 to two hours each way as traffic out of Dubai is worse than M25 on a bad day. Small mall close by worth a look one evening for something to. All in all we though it has been a lovely stay, good value and would come back.
Came here last year with my wife and loved it so much we decided to bring our younger two with us this year. Still a great hotel, great selection of food, room was spacious and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this hotel for a relaxing break.
