Aroko Bungalows

Charming bungalow with spectacular view

Wonderful location right on the beach with a fantastic view of Muri lagoon and the ocean beyond, with snorkels and kayaks available for guests. Walking distance to restaurants, convenience stores, and car & scooter rentals. 4 nights a week the Muri Night Market is right up the road, with terrific food booths and music surrounding picnic tables. Or you can buy food locally and make your own meals in the kitchenette. Bungalow staff were terrific hosts. I highly recommend this lovely, quiet, reasonably priced accommodation.

Rarotonga stay

We spent two days in Rarotonga but our main destination was Aitutaki. Rarotonga hotel is Ok, it has a good location. It is a good option to spend some days in Rarotonga, not far from downtown and it is in front of the best area of the lagoon.

Sunset Resort

Great place - even for someone with a walker

My wife has a walker and has some limited mobility. This place was great - she was able to head down to the beautiful waterfront and we enjoyed many a sunset on the deck there. We met very friendly Kiwis there. A great place to unwind. Internet, as it is across the island, is very limited and very expensive. If you are an American, this is quite different. Only 2 TV stations - like going back in a time warp! Even so, you're there to unwind. And Rarotonga is the place to do it. I was forced to unplug - and I am glad I did!! Also, the sign was down due to a storm earlier in the week. If you are go soon, look for a sign to their sister property - the Anchroage restaurant. Staff were very friendly and all of them knew me by name.
