The staff was very friendly, but the hotel needs new carpet, it smells very very bad!!

It wasn't like the picture in the website. Probably I was expecting to much from a Super 8 Hotel

Room was very cramped, no frig. as advertised, no micro, breakfast left lot to be desired(actually wasn't breakfast, just snack, nothing hot).Very disappointed in Super8. We've used this motel lots in the past but think that's where it is-in the past. Very outdated compared to other motels.Handicap access is aplorable.

Nice hotel for sleep. No pool, good breakfast, nice location between Hill City/Keystone and Deadwood/Spearfish Canyon.

Needs work. Carpets are worn and disgusting. Stairways where filthy. Plugs in the room where way over used.

The room was very gross. Not clean. It smelled and the blankets had holes in them with stains. Staff wasn't presentable. The breakfast isn't good

No problem with room but difficult to find parking. A lot of choices for breakfast.

The beds made a clunk, bonk, and cronk with every movement. Not just a little noise but a loud noise capable of waking me up (and I've slept through mortar attacks in Iraq), waking my wife up (she already deals with my snoring), and probably woke our dog up (except we left her back home in MN). We could feel the springs of the mattress in both beds but they were not entirely uncomfortable just lumpy and hard. We wanted to get out of that room early both days we stayed and we skipped the third day of our reservation in favor of better sleep and a shorter drive for the last day of our vacation.

Slept then left. Breakfast was not worth going to get.

Hotel is okay stayed so we could see monuments and Badlands. Missed Deadwood. Saw Sturgis. Breakfast is lacking.

I stayed here when my husband was at the hospital. The weather was horrible o was glad I could stay close to the hospital.

Hotel room was great! Joe helped us out a lot. Breakfast was a plus. Thank You again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The tub/shower had a big hole in side which had an attempted patch. Not clean. I would not use it! Beds were not made up after first night. Halls very dirty. Breakfast sparse so didn't eat there. Coffee ran out. Noone assisting as in other hotels.

Motel 8 in Rapid City is fine. It's was clean and comfortable. The room was a little cramped. The king size bed was to close to the desk and it made for tight quarters when trying to work. The location is perfect. You are within 30-45 minutes of many of the major attractions and sites and you are walking distance to several restaurants. I would stay here again.

The hotel is in a very good location, easy to reach all attractions. The staff was very nice helpful and friendly. The room was clean with all the amenities you might need, fridge, coffee maker, hairdryer... There was no microwave in our room but we were able to use the one in the breakfast room to heat/cook our food. Breakfast was plentiful. We had a very pleasant stay for money we spent.

Rooms need renovation, they are poorly laid out for example, the shower had one of those rods that bow out to give you more room, but then the top of the rod hit the door, which opened inward. And the toilet paper was mounted on the wall across from you, requiring quite a stretch to reach it. Overall, a decent value for minimal money. Close to airport. Didn't have elevator and we were on 3rd floor, however. And icemaker out of ice when we got there late.

We got three rooms in the basement and all carpets had a strong smell. My nephew and niece felt vomiting at the moment of opening the door. The hotel is too old and the air conditioning is barely working. We had a hard time sleeping due to the strong, unpleasant odor. However, the location of the hotel is very good but we would prefer to not stay at this type of hotel again. We would rather spend little more money to get a decent environment and avoid unhappy memories.

The stay was just what we needed, a clean place to stay for the evening as we traveled the Black Hills. It was right on the way, easy to get to and and right by needed services.

We wanted a centralized hotel to visit Mt Rushmore and Deadwood and by the time we booked our hotel this was the only hotel available at a reasonable rate. We were a little leery because it was still available. While the hotel was older, and could have been a little cleaner, it was not an awful experience. They were not able to provide extra pillows and there was only three in the room.

I had a great experience here. The location was great for visiting Mt. Rushmore. The room was clean and comfortable. The value of this stay was great!
