The pool area

The property was good but they charged our card twice and will not respond to inquiries.

Do not believe the pictures on Orbitz. When I saw our room I was totally disappointed. It was outdated, dark, the mattress was a spring mattress that felt 20 years old, and the bathroom looked dirty. Honestly, I felt tricked into booking this hotel because the pictures are nothing like the hotel. Not sure if I should trust Orbitz.

I didnt like the fact that there was black mold in my room behind the wallpaper. I talked to the front desk and asked for a manager to contact me which hasnt happened. I do have a picture of the mold and i was in room 336.

i think you should have better lighting when you clean the carpet......needs shampoo really bad,3 tissues in holder ,no cleaning or towels etc. people would put a rock to hold door open.........not a real secure feature. if someone took rock out you had to walk clear around to office. whe mentioned to clerk she could have cared less.pool was great,hot tub water was below skimmer. perkins was graet however. the intenet didnt work because they said they FORGOT todo something at the office ......alot of room for improvement.

We first arrived to the hotel and while getting ready to stand in line to check in, you can hear the front desk clerk yelling at someone in the check in area. Hotel policy requires that people staying there must have ID for all customers for the purpose to monitor all guest coming in an out. We walked in and could hear her yelling at another guest who must have been going in an out, Saying, “better not come back, this is the third time seeing you.” Me and another person waiting to check in looked at each other in shock and embarrassment. That ordeal made my first impression of this place very low and quite rough. I continued and when I was at the counter to check in, I was told my room wouldn’t be ready (it was around 3pm). Another lady that was helping me said she would move rooms around to accommodate me, but that same lady that was yelling earlier told her NOT to move any rooms around. She didn’t listen to her so she finished accommodating me and I was able to check in. I appreciated that type of worker; one who remains courteous, friendly, calm and helpful without acting all discombobulated or yells around when it’s busy. Overall, the property has a nice indoor pool that can often become really crowded. They have a billiard and dart area you have to pay to play. Perkins restaurant is on property which was nice if you don’t want to go anywhere. They also have a bar on property too.

Old fashioned decor is very pretty.

Hotel charges a ten dollar destination fee. Pool was closed in spite of sign out front saying otherwise. Rooms were ok nothing special.

Robert, I am very sorry to hear about the issue with your card. I hope that you were able to find out exactly what had happened. Sometimes if the room and incidentals are on the same card, it will look like the card has been charged when in fact it is the money being returned to the card. Sorry again for any inconvenience. Jessica, we have several room styles, some are Traditional some are Arts and Craft and some are Provincial.. We have 4 different colors of Carpet. The OTA's (on line travel agencies) Do not show all room types. We do not have cheap foam beds, We have beds that have been endorsed by Julia Roberts and Oprah. that are made for the 4 Seasons Resorts. We do not by from Sams or Costco's. We are trying to do a sm remodel but with the shortage of supplies. Thank your for your comment and sorry your were so unhappy.

Dear George, Sorry for your experience, the doors are locked for security, the crime in Rapid City has more than doubled, so please do not put a rock in the door. Did you tell front desk about the skimmer we have 3 maintenance on, And the front desk is trained to fill hot tub. It is the latest in internet, they just have to get the kinks out of it.. It will be great when finished, and last but not least we have Housekeeping staff on until 10pm, did you call front desk to let them know u only had 3 sq.'s on the T-paper ring. We are experience very late delays on everything we order. WE could of assisted with all your request, before you write a bad review.
