Bed comfortable; shower with damage. Ice machine non-functional; towels new and clean. Bed linen with holes. Convenient location and low price.
Economical; close to Duke; rooms need some repairs; TV remote with no back and had issues one day—was fixed immediately. Very wonderful staff. Close to hwy and conveniently located.
It was a great location.
It's really gets back to 80-90's. It's old, terrible and very rusty bathtub, wash tub and all amenities. Smells terrible and not an safe area. Some homeless fellow walked on door at night which was really scary.
It was fine for a Super 8. Most of the unfavorable part of my experience was actually caused by Orbitz, not the hotel.
Don't expect to run into royalty here. It's a cheap place to stay. Bed was comfortable. Shower was hot. breakfast was decent (toast, waffles, donuts, bagels, juice, milk and cereal). WiFi was solid in the room. People have complained (at nauseum) about the remote controls for the TV. We didn't come Durham to watch a lot of TV, but the remote was indeed wonky. It was an RCA remote and the TV was another model. It didn't work well, but it was not critical to our stay. We caught the local news (after working with the remote for a bit...). This place is right off the Highway, so it is easy to find, but it is next to a Laundromat and across the street from a Pawn Shop. There are some short-time residents there as well. If you are not comfortable with that, by all means book a room at the Hilton. But all in all this was a decent place to stay for the money.
The hotel staff is very friendly and super helpful. Good economic choice
It was cheap and the location was what I needed but the bathroom and bed sheets were pretty dirty.
It was very pleasant. The room was clean. The price was appropriate for the stay.
Having read the reviews, I decided to take a chance....this hotel was clean, the staff friendly and the location to downtown Durham was great.
Outside room entry, area seemed safe. Room was clean, nothing special. Bed and pillows weren't especially comfortable, but the towels were surprisingly soft. I was only there for 6hrs to crash the night before an interview and it was more than sufficient. Can't beat the price!
ok
Over all good, Did not care for the location part of town. was not sure of how secure the area was. no problem but just did not fell real safe
Decent if you just need a cheap place to stay for the night. Location is a bit sketchy and worried me when I pulled in the lot, but was not that bad. Your girlfriend or wife will probably not want to stay there, though. Room was clean.
Location was on a busy street even at night. Good location to get to center of Durham quickly. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful for local information. Room was not very clean. Furniture was very worn. Some of the light bulbs burnt out.
