La Quinta Inn & Suites Raleigh/Durham Southpoint

It's a moderate place! Could have been a bit cleaner and less smoky...the staff was great and efficient and super nice tho!

Still the best inexpensive hotel in Durham area but some attention is needed for repair and maintenance. The heat and AC can't be adjusted from thermostat on wall and last two trips I had to use the buttons on the AC unit deep under the desk. The remote has been barely functional for the tv in the last two rooms in last two weeks. For some reason (last two trips) the dresser drawers and doors are left open in the room. The workout equipment (elliptical) needs a tuneup. But for $80 it's the best bet in Durham

This was a clean and quiet property in a convenient location. I didn't find the mattress and pillows particularly comfortable, but that was the only negative.

Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful, facility was clean and neat. Very good security. Bed was a little iffy. Workout room is small and needs a little electrical maintenance. Overall a very good value for the money.

Night time desk clerk was very rude and unfriendly. She never made eye contact once during my registration, and rolled her eyes and mumbled everything she said, as if she was reciting word-for-word, what she had been prepped to say. It was clear that she was only there for a paycheck. The hotel was nicely remodeled and clean, however the bed linens were not soft and my husband and I felt itchy all night.

Loved the room and location. Free breakfast could have been better but I would stay here again.

The hotel was a perfect resting place after a long day of travel. I've listed the things that we liked in the next section of this survey.

Rooms were large and comfortable. However, the hallways and the elevator smelled really bad. It feels like people are smoking at the hallways or in the elevators. We enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was good.

First time stay at LaQuinta. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Daytime and nighttime staff were professional and seem to be genuinely interested in making our stay pleasurable.

Stayed 2 nites here on a business trip, there is ample parking and the rooms are fairly spacious and clean. Free breakfast amenities are OK and the staff is friendly and helpful. Overall a pretty good experience.

Nice clean rooms....spacious and excellent staff! Continental breakfast was delicious and work out room was awesome!

safe hotel, with basic breakfast to get you out the door quickly in the morning. Hard boiled eggs, Cerial, Waffles, Muffins & bagels, coffee, juice, some fruit.

Me and my family needed a place to stay asap while our electricity was repaired. La quinta gave us a pet friendly room in less than an hour and we woke up well rested.

This is the second time we stayed in this hotel. It has everything for a hotel this price range. Clean rooms, free wifi, pool, free breakfast, and TV. Checking process is fast and the front desk personnel is friendly. The only complain my children had was the limited breakfast selection.

Breakfast was a little flimsier than I've experienced at other LaQuinta's: there were waffles, but no eggs, bacon, etc. Weird setup with the rooms. Each room is connected to another via a locked internal door (like at many hotels). But the gap under the door is especially wide, meaning that you hear everything going on in the other room. Rather uncomfortable.

It's a La Quinta, so there's not much room for surprise (or originality). But this one is friendly, well managed, convenient...and with its location, nestled back from NC55 among the trees, it's pleasantly quiet...even maybe just a little bit quaint., if you can use that word for a hotel just past the railroad tracks and up the road from a Waffle House. (Oh yeah--there's also a Waffle House 1 minute away if you are into that thing.)

I booked expecting a std king size and I arrived and was put into one of the suites with separate living area and sleeping area. Made it wonderful to catch up on my business work after my training sessions.

If you know what La Quinta is about, then you know what to expect: simple but cheerful, comfortable rooms, free paper, free WiFi, basic but free breakfast. A few things make this one stand out. It's very convenient to the airport and Research Triangle Park locations. It's tucked away on a side street well off the highway, so it's quiet and feels secluded. And the staff here is particularly friendly. As budget chain hotel experiences go, this is about as good as it gets.

My family and I loved the hotel and all it's amenities. The location was good. Easy access to the main highway and to good restaurants. My daughter loved the fact that it was close to the mall. Our original destination was the UNC at Durham. We toured the campus and loved the scenery. The hotel was a good location for the college preview.

For the price, this was an exceptional place to stay. The room was clean and had everything we needed for a 2 day stay. The staff wasn't very friendly, so don't expect a smile when you check in.
