Budget hotel - for the budget price, very good value. Everything functional - TV, microwave, plumbing. Bed comfortable. Window can't be opened for fresh air, which is a negative. Within walking distance of city center, Natural History and History Museums, NCSU campus, Convention Center. Handy free parking.

Very good location. Staff was very helpful and pleasant.

A straightforward hotel that provides the basic services, including self serve breakfast, with a great location.

Hotel needs a serious revamp! Smells bad, sockets handing off wall with wires exposed! Stains everywhere! Disgusting! Would not stay here Again.

Though the staff was friendly and helpful, the building was dirty and smelled of cigarette smoke. The ice machine was broken on my floor and the clean sheets were piled in the corner of the hallway. Sheets on bed had a strange stain. Room included a refrigerator but it turned out to only work as a freezer. The continental breakfast was sufficient and included waffles, coffee, oatmeal, fruit, and cereal. Lobby was deceptively clean compared to the actual lodging. Good location, walking distance to downtown. However, for only $20 more a night, I spent the rest of my trip at a beautiful high rise Holiday Inn a few blocks closer. For a place to crash, the Days Inn will do. But if you're looking for quality and comfort, spend a few extra bucks elsewhere.

Average hotel, but good price and location...............................................

We requested a non-smoking room, but theroom smelled strongly of smoke. We asked to be moved but the hotel was fully booked. We ended up buying a candle and a bottle of febreeze because the smell was overwhelming. 2 days of febreezing did the trick, wish the hotel had put in that effort though.

Place was clean, a lot of things were in disrepair. One of the main doors would not open, room door was missing peephole and safety latch. Lots of young people staying there, a few were loud at 4 am. Just seemed a little sketch......

Hotel was Ok. I asked the wednesday day shift front desk clerk to look for a taxi to the airport on thursday. She called a taxidriver called Popper who picked me up at 4:45 and drove me southward on a loooooong drive to the airport(USD 47,20) since the other way had cost me 29,00!!! Please pay attention to that!!

The owner doesn't seem like he wants to spend any money on the hotel to keep it clean and welcoming!

The hotel was acceptable, however I felt the room cost per night was higher than value of amenities.

TV didn't work at first. Small pillows. No extra blanket. No shower curtain liner. No wash cloths. Could hear noise outside room too good

I attend Hopscotch every year which is a local music festival on it's sixth year now. Every year i've always stayed at Days Inn Downtown Raleigh as it is very affordable and less than a mile away from everything that is happening. I'm a modest person with modest needs. I've always gotten what i needed with this hotel. Staff does a great job of keeping everything tidy.

Hotel was clean and nice and staff were friendly and responsive. Continental breakfast was good - needs a little improvement on the coffee and waffle quality!!

It served perfectly well for my 4 day conference stay. The breakfast seemed to be quite good, including waffles, but I never got to try it. One the one day I didn't have to rush out to early meetings, I missed by about a minute and everything was shut down. My fault for working too long. TV reception was fuzzy. Overall a very good price on travel website for a nice enough place with a pleasant 5-15 minute walk to tons of restaurants, museum and convention center.

fix leaking water facuet in bathroom, everything else was just fine.

Complex rough room didn't have double beds like I payed for had to have a roll up bed for my son outside if hotel dirty loaded with palmetto bugs had to stay at another hotel the last three nite couldn't stay there Anymore .

I got what I deserved. This place was really bad. It smelled of smoke and was very outdated. If I was a college student it would be acceptable. I am 65 so not so much. Good location to downtown.

It was very nice to stay here. Very clean and comfortable. I will definitely stay at a days inn again.

My major complaint was that the air conditioner was very loud. Which is a problem I have with most hotels in this price range. The "gym" was a joke but the location was perfect for me. Downtown was easy to walk to. The staff was nice, the rooms clean. The bed was comfortable. A good value for the price. I would stay there again.
