The Days Inn University Durham continues to impress with their excellent customer service. I've been coming to this hotel for 12 years in conjunction with an annual music festival and have also been working closely with the staff for the past 7 years as one of the festival's administrative coordinators. As a moderately-priced accommodation, Days Inn University Durham's staff provide a level of professionalism usually experienced only in higher-priced hotels. They go out of their way to ensure that your needs are fully met and any concerns are addressed immediately. This earns my 5-star rating. The rooms are large and clean and were upgraded a few years ago - along with the lobby area, which is very nice. However, I have been advised that, due to fairly consistent use, the rooms will again receive a renovation in 2018 to ensure that all amenities are new, modern and functional. The breakfasts are complimentary. This year I was pleased to find additional food options that make the breakfast selection considerably better than the usual coffee/juice/bagels found at budget hotels. They offer sausage, biscuits and gravy with Belgium waffles. Parking is excellent. The parking lot encompasses all sides of the hotel with many spaces, which allows guests to park in close proximity to their rooms. There is an on-site outdoor heated pool with an area that is kept very clean. I look forward to staying at Days Inn University Durham again in the coming year.

Beds new and super comfortable, rooms newly remodeled, building OLD and in need of repair on outside but inside is nice

Typucal low cvost place to stay when you are traveling.....the breakast was below par compared to like hotels.

This is a MOTEL. It was the only place available for Duke's graduation, so we had no choice. Staff nice and friendly, but place is old. Cigarette burn on bedspread. Cheap towels, etc.

Issues reported to front desk but no repairs made.

This is not the Taj Mahal by any means, but a nice motel for the price. Room was clean and comfortable, bath worked well, breakfast filling, and staff helpful and polite. We got a good quiet rest each night - even on the bottom floor - after sightseeing, which was all we wanted. Enjoyed and would stay here again!

BEST DAYS INN IN A LONG LONG TIME. Brand new awesome rooms. will always stay here.

Very clean and seemed to be newly renovated. Let me check in early at no extra charge. Great staff.

We highly recommend staying at this hotel. The rooms were great as well as the location and we were thrilled that it included breakfast. It was super clean and not too far from the airport (20) minutes without traffic. Also that there is no charge for parking and you can walk to shopping across the street and a great chinese restaurant across. The bullocks bar b que was awesome a block away. Customer service was so so good.

Great Hotel!!!! I travel a lot and its hard to find a home away from home. Ken at the front desk provides best customer service you can ask for. Nicely remodel with comfortable beds. Rooms are super clean. Pool was outdoor and clean but was closed for the season. Nice greenway behind hotel for my morning walk/run. Handful of eating spots in walking distance. You will get a great night sleep for a good pric

I only stayed one night but the hotel had everything I needed. There was a discrepancy about the checkout time and they gave me an extra hour which was extremely nice! It was easy to get anywhere I needed to and it was never more than a 15 minute drive. I'd definitely stay there again.

The gentleman at the front desk was very polite and helpful. That's about the only thing this hotel has going for them. The pool looked more like a pond, it was green and had trash floating on top. The room smelled like a locker room. The shower didn't work correctly. The sink was clogged with what looked like old dental floss. The air conditioner didn't cool. I don't even want to ride past this place again!

Our experience was okay for only staying one night on a weekend full of plans. The complimentary breakfast was a let down and the quilt on one of the beds was torn. I would recommend this hotel if you are only looking for a very short stay. Otherwise, I would suggest you go elsewhere.

The location was fine for an interview at Chapel hill, but I rented a car. The place is clean, but a lot of weird people. Wireless did not work.

The hotel needs work. It is an older style hotel. The room was clean, but very ordinary. I was very disappointed in the breakfast that was offered. Not much there to eat. The pastries were cold and seemed stale. The sitting was just fine with nice tables. Hotel is dark in the upstairs walkways. Noisy with people talking late into the early morning. The TV was great!!! Thank you for that! The hot water took at least 3 minutes to get hotter in my shower. I will not be staying here again.

Hotel was kind of seedy. Not the best experience at all. Room was fairly clean but not luxurious by any means. The housekeeping barely spoke English and there were a lot of questionable characters staying at the hotel.

The hotel is close to the university, but the room is in very poor conditions. it smells so bad even after keeping AC on for long time. the toilet and bathtub have some stains on. I would rather spend extra more for better hotels.

the location of the hotel is good, but the room we stay smell so bad. The room is in very poor condition. I would rather pay extra more for better hotel.

Very accommodating; great location for what we wanted to do in Durham

Reserved a room because my family was having surgery at nearby duke university hospital..the front desk lacked customer service..when I got to my room it smelled so bad..the tub was old and dirty..there was paint all over the curtains..the carpet was filthy..I was so uncomfortable I checked out..I forfeited my payment for the weekend because it was prepaid and left to another nearby hotel..never again!!! Needs a complete makeover..and I'm not even a picky person..I now understand when they say u get what u pay for

Extremely sorry it was a weekend and the bad weather prevented our maintenance man to fix it. But we got the others fixed.
