Ramada Limited Quesnel2.0 out of 5.0

The rooms are not clean, smell like old cigarette smoke despite some renovations. The management needs a lesson on customer service. There are plenty of other hotels in the area that are better to serve you during your stay in Quesnel.
We were looking for a pet friendly hotel with a pool, we decided on Ramada due to the rooms being updated and it being the same cost as other hotels in the area. 85 plus 15 dollar pet fee and of course taxes for a total of $ 113.00. We were given a room that was just " updated" over all the room looked nice. We settled in and went out for a bite to eat and later a walk on the river trails witch we do recommend. When we got back to the room we decided to go for a swim. They should of spent some of the upgrade money on the pool or at least heating the pool ! The water was COLD ! Some tiles around the edges should of been replaced instead they over used clear caulking to restick broken tiles, hot tub in the same condition with sediment on the bottom. Water was Luke warm at best, turned jets on and they did not work. In the morning when we were getting ready to check out we noticed there was no smoke detector in our room, they had painted over the detector holder and did not replace the detector. I had to sleep in a large divot in a very old mattress in a "newly renovated " room .
Stayed here with a soccer team. Nothing fancy in this motel. It's quite dated, but the beds were really comfortable. Location is downtown Quesnel, so waling distance to most things. Breakfast in the morning was included but nothing to write home about and the seating is limited to a couple tables in the lobby. Hot tub was lukewarm and the pool in 1.5m max depth. WIFI was good and there was a decent selection of non-HD channels to choose from on the TV. I would probably explore other options before staying here again.
Was a nice enough room, clean and cosy. We stayed above the pool area in a room that had a large deck attached, that was a very nice feature. Staff was freindly over all had a good experience. I would stay again.
Attending a 4 evening course in the conference room. Old . Dirty. Would not recommend a stay here. Pool area gloomy. Bathroom was unattended. Toilet Roll was empty another roll was placed on top of toilet not in dispenser. Old roll was left on floor as was the paper it came in. Paper towel dispenser was full but not working. Condense room had soo many dead bugs in the light over head. Garbage was not emptied from night before not was room vacuumed. Not water was offered or even set up for self serving. Ice machine in hall way sounds like a men's urinal. Bugs in hallway light fixture. Not just 1or2 but full of flies....just not a place I would even want to spend a night in if a conference room and pool area is this dirty. We were there 4nights over 2 weeks.
We were charged $89.00 a night plus tax. And $15.00 a night for 5 pound minpin. The room was decent but still over priced. We were told that our room was newly renovated yet the bathroom tiles and wall are all stained and falling apart. The bathtub was very neglected not sure it's been properly cleaned in years. The air conditioner smelled like urine even though it's located half up the wall. The towels in the pool area smelled musty. The Jets in the hot tub were all broken and not even useable. The pool and hot tub had was to much chlorine. They are very basic on the essentials, 1 bottle of shampoo, 1 very small bar of soap, 3 towels 3 face cloths even though they new we are a family. (With two children under the age of the children stay free policy. We definitely are disappointed with this ramada.
Comfy beds. Clean room except lampshades were filthy. Big screen TV. Fridge. Microwave. Hair dryer. Quiet no noise. Pool/hot tub room very dark & way too much chlorine burnt my eyes & smelt badly. Good free continental breakfast.
Traveling with a toddler and our very well behaved senior dog. Upon entering our pet friendly room, our dog immediately started sniffing out all the urine left by previous pets. Corner of beds, 10 different spots on the carpet, corner of wall and bathroom. She has never done this in a pet friendly room before! Room is musty, very dated (80's/90's) in need of a deep clean or even better, complete renovating. Tub is super slippery and no anti-slip mat. Beds are 'meh', bedding, pillows/towels are old, pillows are all different thicknesses, bathroom linen unmatched and all OLD. There is seriously a halogen table lamp in the room that I had in the early 90's. The property grounds could also use some elbow grease and TLC. We originally were hoping to get a room at Sandman but they didnt have any pet rooms left.. they recommended this Ramada. Should have checked reviews before checking in! :/
I had called the evening before to reserve a room, when we arrived we were not booked. They did however accommodate us. We were tired and didn't feel like going anywhere else. The room smelled awful. It was coming from the bathroom. The shower curtain needed a good cleaning. The sink was not cleaned well. How this hotel can be under the Ramada name is a head scratcher. The man at the desk was helpful. The breakfast was a disappointment. There are other reviews much the same, that have been there for awhile, and while management says they are working on these problems, it is not evident that anything is changing. Best bet go elsewhere.
Well lets just say the place is run down and need of repair ... Its a shame as this hotel is ideally located ....the room we had was musty ... The sheets were clean and the bed was good .. there was a pair of swim trunks behind the TV from a previous guest ... The room came with breakfast but we decided to venture downtown ...don't think this place is a best bet when visiting Quesnel ...
