We booked a room at ramada hotel Quesnel knowing that it will carry the name RAMADA HOTEL but we assumed wrong. The room is so dirty, linens and pillows are stained, coffee machine has old coffee grounds, toilet plunger is moldy and the bed is infested with bed bugs. We decided to move to a different hotel for our comfort. Very unfortunate and unpleasant experience indeed.
We booked this hotel for team travel because it was close to our competition, it’s a Ramada (which to me is a good name so must be a good hotel) and the price was good. No where on the website does it tell you it’s a motel and the indoor pool is located across the parking lot in another building. The hotel was originally something else (I know because the stationary was still in the room). The rooms were updated (but the dirty carpets and old bathroom fixtures etc are all still there). Sheets and towels had stains. My room came with a well used plunger as the sink and toilet obviously needed help on a constant basis. Front desk was made aware of stains on sheets etc but sheets and towels were never changed. Strongly suggest spending the extra $20 and staying somewhere else.
We rented a room here as a last minute walk-in on a family road trip. We were offered a very good rate. We did not have a credit card but they allowed us to put a deposit down. The room was clean. There was breakfast in the am but we did not grab any because we were in a rush. The hot tub was unfortunately out of order and pool is cold. The hotel was fairly quiet. Customer service was good. WiFi is strong.
We enjoyed our stay at the Ramada. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was too firm for my comfort. The room had been renovated effectively to look quite new. The pool was small but clean. The hot tub had evidence of recent renovation; however, the new look of modern tiles over the old style was very effective. If they weren't working on a patch, I wouldn't have know how old it likely was. The breakfast was good with waffles, eggs, yogurt, fruit, coffee, toast.
The rooms are not clean, smell like old cigarette smoke despite some renovations. The management needs a lesson on customer service. There are plenty of other hotels in the area that are better to serve you during your stay in Quesnel.
We were looking for a pet friendly hotel with a pool, we decided on Ramada due to the rooms being updated and it being the same cost as other hotels in the area. 85 plus 15 dollar pet fee and of course taxes for a total of $ 113.00. We were given a room that was just " updated" over all the room looked nice. We settled in and went out for a bite to eat and later a walk on the river trails witch we do recommend. When we got back to the room we decided to go for a swim. They should of spent some of the upgrade money on the pool or at least heating the pool ! The water was COLD ! Some tiles around the edges should of been replaced instead they over used clear caulking to restick broken tiles, hot tub in the same condition with sediment on the bottom. Water was Luke warm at best, turned jets on and they did not work. In the morning when we were getting ready to check out we noticed there was no smoke detector in our room, they had painted over the detector holder and did not replace the detector. I had to sleep in a large divot in a very old mattress in a "newly renovated " room .
Stayed here with a soccer team. Nothing fancy in this motel. It's quite dated, but the beds were really comfortable. Location is downtown Quesnel, so waling distance to most things. Breakfast in the morning was included but nothing to write home about and the seating is limited to a couple tables in the lobby. Hot tub was lukewarm and the pool in 1.5m max depth. WIFI was good and there was a decent selection of non-HD channels to choose from on the TV. I would probably explore other options before staying here again.
Was a nice enough room, clean and cosy. We stayed above the pool area in a room that had a large deck attached, that was a very nice feature. Staff was freindly over all had a good experience. I would stay again.
Attending a 4 evening course in the conference room. Old . Dirty. Would not recommend a stay here. Pool area gloomy. Bathroom was unattended. Toilet Roll was empty another roll was placed on top of toilet not in dispenser. Old roll was left on floor as was the paper it came in. Paper towel dispenser was full but not working. Condense room had soo many dead bugs in the light over head. Garbage was not emptied from night before not was room vacuumed. Not water was offered or even set up for self serving. Ice machine in hall way sounds like a men's urinal. Bugs in hallway light fixture. Not just 1or2 but full of flies....just not a place I would even want to spend a night in if a conference room and pool area is this dirty. We were there 4nights over 2 weeks.
We were charged $89.00 a night plus tax. And $15.00 a night for 5 pound minpin. The room was decent but still over priced. We were told that our room was newly renovated yet the bathroom tiles and wall are all stained and falling apart. The bathtub was very neglected not sure it's been properly cleaned in years. The air conditioner smelled like urine even though it's located half up the wall. The towels in the pool area smelled musty. The Jets in the hot tub were all broken and not even useable. The pool and hot tub had was to much chlorine. They are very basic on the essentials, 1 bottle of shampoo, 1 very small bar of soap, 3 towels 3 face cloths even though they new we are a family. (With two children under the age of the children stay free policy. We definitely are disappointed with this ramada.
