Terrible experience, I asked for my money back... no bellboy, elevator not working, 3rd floor room; no disposition from the receptionist to help...i didn't even stayed for a night. After the charge i was told about the lack of confort.
everytime i stop in Queretaro i choose Casa Cayala, the athmosphere is very friendly, and the place is comfy and elegant, I really like the location as well as the cheerful staff!! keep it up guys your doing great!
We stayed here with my family and it was one of the nicest places we been so far in the area the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the beds were so comfy, place was clean and overall outstanding! Definitely coming back!
Wonderful place, with an incredible staff, it's almost like a Mexican version of a b&b, the atmosphere is friendly, everyone gets to know you by name, the rooms have a real nice view, and a comfy business sense to them, seems to be newly remodeled or really well taken care of. Overall a really nice experience a plus to our trip was definitely staying at this property
I have to say, after reading some of the reviews I wasn't sure whether to go for this hotel or not, although we had nothing but an amazing time staying here, staff is friendly and very prepared, hotel is small comfortable and very clean the rooms are spacious and new, food was good, not the best but pretty good and the view and location of the hotel are amazing definitely becoming a loyal customer!
I stayed at this hotel after having a hard time finding rooms in other hotels I usually stay at. The location is convenient and inside, the rooms are clean but for business travel the configuration is not very good. The only telephone in the room is by the bed. Otherwise I had no issues. The restaurant and bar were very empty so I cannot judge. One concern is that, like other hotels I have seen in Latin America there is only one escape route in an emergency. Staff was friendly.
We love Grand Tourism hotels or Boutique Hotels but some times you just need to stay on a budget. We booked this hotel because it had a nice $960 pesos, more or less $70 USD, weekend rate (is a business hotel). I called to make the reservation and gave me such rate, I never recieved a confirmation email, and i had to change to one night reservation instead of 2. They didn´t have my reservation registered, and since it was a holiday weekend they didn´t respect my rate and it changed to $1200 pesos (90 USD). I didn´t mind to much considering it was almost the next day on a holiday weekend. The weekend rate are just above low budget-value hotels like CityExpress ore One Hotels, so we were just expecting the same: new, clean, average breakfast. I did just that but with some downsides: no light in the hallway, thin walls (sorry for the other travelers but my kids woke up 5:30am on sunday), and the buffet breakfast wasn´t fully ready at 8:30 am (it opens before that time). So at the end, it is not a Boutique hotel (it has a few nice architectonic details) were you can expect more. And it has poor value considering you can get the same at a lower price.
Misleading information in the website, they don't respect their own fares. The hotel is 3 stars at best, the website rates it as 5, and in the hotel they tell you it's a 4 stars hotel. Lousy breakfast (and very expensive), the jacuzzi doesn't even work and I've seen playgrounds where you can work out better than in their gym. Avoid it at all costs go to Hampton Inn or 'Casa del Naranjo'...
