Just as the pictures show, nothing fancy, but place had a mini fridge, kitchen sink and counter, microwave, tv, little mini living room and dining room. Overall room felt very spacious in comparison to other motels, even hotels. The bathroom was spacious, great water pressure, and cute natural shampoos and soaps which were a nice touch. Views outside were nice too, 10 minute or less drive to Queenstown (just down the hill). Only downside, wifi was really slow.

We stay here for 2 nights (18-20 Jan 2018) it was a very pleasant stay, big room with very clean bathroom, the communal kitchen was spotless. With this reasonable price we planning to get back in June :)

The hotel is a bit outside of Queenstown, we had rental car so it was no problem. There are no real shops around the area so if you need something buy it on the way there. The rooms were large, clean and had air condition. We used the laundry room which was very easy and quick. 45 min for a wash and 45 min for a dryer. There’s a laundry room on every floor so no wait. There’s a big communal kitchen and a big communal room to sit and relax. Both clean and well equipped. Good hotel but we felt it was a bit pricey as it’s a bit off from Queenstown. We visited in summer.

My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights, and whilst the price was good, we experienced a few issues. Our biggest concern was that while we were out all day, the cleaners left our sliding rear door open, which anyone can access because we were on the ground floor leading to the car park. All our belongings were clearly visible and anyone could have taken anything as we didn't get home until late. When we spoke to the receptionist, she seemed unapologetic and relatively unconcerned. It was only after pushing and showing our own concern about it that she apologized, but she didn't say anything would be done about it. Another issue we had with the motel was that the 'king bed' advertised was actually just 2 single beds pushed together. This was uncomfortable and very noticeable, as they would often come apart. If these two issues could be rectified, it would have been a much more pleasant stay.

Although about 10klms from town this was perhaps the best hotel we stayed in. Easy check in the hotel is set in lush gardens with a great outside setting which includes BBQ and outdoor seating. Rooms very clean modern with good facilities. Nice and comfortable. We stayed 2 nights and used it as our base to explore the region. Although a little out of town it was not a problem really. Price compared to Queenstown prices was very reasonable. Very glad we stayed here and would recommend to anyone ve.nturing to Queenstown. Well Recommended

We had a car so getting to Shotover Lodge was easy from the airport. Overall, a good place to stay for a short stop in the Queenstown area, and at a reasonable price point. The pros: - Room was fairly spacious, and overall quite clean and comfortable. We also had a small terrace area that looked into an inner courtyard which was pleasant. - Staff were very friendly. We managed to arrive right at 7pm when the reception was still open so our check-in went smoothly. - Bathroom was very clean, well-lit, and the shower was a good size. The cons: - A bit far from the centre of Queenstown but that's expected - it was only a 10-15 minute car ride away so not too inconvenient. - Limited number of plugs/electrical outlets in the room for the charging of various electronic devices (especially if you need to use a large converter plug which takes up a lot of space).

My stay at shotover lodge was good. We stayed here for two nights. Lodge is a bit far from Queens town so for me it took about 10-15 minutes to drive one way. Room was big with spacious toilet and shower room. Tv, Fridge, microwave and water boiler was provided. Bed was very comfortable. Very clean and tidy. View outside of lodge was good as well. However WiFi is not unlimited free.

Stayed here for a night. The hotel is quite a long way out of Queenstown - ok if you have a car, although the car park at this hotel is on the small side for the number of rooms. On the room - this was good, comfortable bed, lots of space, and a reasonable fridge/coffee space which made the experience good. Room with a balcony - nice - but at the moment it overlooks a building site. The details on the site we booked are a little out of date relating to facilities and Wi-Fi.

the hotel is normal, the staff is friendly, the location is not so good if you want to visit the city and you want to drink a beer because you need to take the car to go there. 10-15 minutes by car and after you need to find a place to park the car or pay to park in a parking. the hotel is clean but i think they should paint the walls (at least in our room was a little bit dirty for some mosquito war in the past) and the clothes of the bedroom should improve / change for a new one or ... but again, the staff was perfect and everything looks like the picture. So we were happy in the hotel.

We were registered efficiently and pleasantly and shown to our room, which was on the ground floor. The grounds and surroundings were attractive and well-cared for. We were shown a more convenient place to park our car, and given information about the hotel and its services. The room was pleasant, a 5m by 5.5m rectangle with the bathroom in the right hand far corner. The bathroom was clean, adequate rather than spacious, but with plenty of hot water and an adjustable shower head. The king sized bed was comfortable, both of us sleeping well. We found our room to be quiet and peaceful even though the hotel was busy during Labour Weekend. Basic television was supplied, with a two or three seat couch opposite but perhaps a little too close because of the bathroom wall. We missed having a bedside table on both sides of the bed, and a reading lamp would have been of benefit Apart from that, the lighting in the room was good. There was a rack to put the case on, and a wardrobe. Tea and coffee making facilities were good, with plenty of little bags of teas and coffee .A microwave served to heat food. There was no dine-in restaurant but Reception recommended the restaurant right next door. All in all, a very pleasant experience for one night, and something to be considered for a longer stay.
