My stay at shotover lodge was good. We stayed here for two nights. Lodge is a bit far from Queens town so for me it took about 10-15 minutes to drive one way. Room was big with spacious toilet and shower room. Tv, Fridge, microwave and water boiler was provided. Bed was very comfortable. Very clean and tidy. View outside of lodge was good as well. However WiFi is not unlimited free.

Stayed here for a night. The hotel is quite a long way out of Queenstown - ok if you have a car, although the car park at this hotel is on the small side for the number of rooms. On the room - this was good, comfortable bed, lots of space, and a reasonable fridge/coffee space which made the experience good. Room with a balcony - nice - but at the moment it overlooks a building site. The details on the site we booked are a little out of date relating to facilities and Wi-Fi.

the hotel is normal, the staff is friendly, the location is not so good if you want to visit the city and you want to drink a beer because you need to take the car to go there. 10-15 minutes by car and after you need to find a place to park the car or pay to park in a parking. the hotel is clean but i think they should paint the walls (at least in our room was a little bit dirty for some mosquito war in the past) and the clothes of the bedroom should improve / change for a new one or ... but again, the staff was perfect and everything looks like the picture. So we were happy in the hotel.

We were registered efficiently and pleasantly and shown to our room, which was on the ground floor. The grounds and surroundings were attractive and well-cared for. We were shown a more convenient place to park our car, and given information about the hotel and its services. The room was pleasant, a 5m by 5.5m rectangle with the bathroom in the right hand far corner. The bathroom was clean, adequate rather than spacious, but with plenty of hot water and an adjustable shower head. The king sized bed was comfortable, both of us sleeping well. We found our room to be quiet and peaceful even though the hotel was busy during Labour Weekend. Basic television was supplied, with a two or three seat couch opposite but perhaps a little too close because of the bathroom wall. We missed having a bedside table on both sides of the bed, and a reading lamp would have been of benefit Apart from that, the lighting in the room was good. There was a rack to put the case on, and a wardrobe. Tea and coffee making facilities were good, with plenty of little bags of teas and coffee .A microwave served to heat food. There was no dine-in restaurant but Reception recommended the restaurant right next door. All in all, a very pleasant experience for one night, and something to be considered for a longer stay.

Friendly check in, plenty of parking. Ski storage and communal kitchen, laundry and balcony to enjoy scenery. Spacious rooms with sitting area and lovely bright bathroom. Loved the New Zealand pictures in the room.

We were off to Wanaka, but wanted to spend a night in Queenstown - Lodge is very nice and in a wonderful location, Onseen hot pools are across the road and there is a bowling ally down the road for the kids. Room was tidy and clean my only compliant is that it stunk of spices, i don't know if the people before us had cooked in there but we couldn't get rid of the smell - it did put me off big time. Staff we lovely but it is a drive to town.

The room had a sensational view and the staff were friendly and helpful. The bed and sofa were uncomfortable and the quilt, sofa and carpets were really grimy. The room smelled like stale food. Was happy to move on. This would be suitable if you don't have a choice otherwise I would avoid it.

This hotel is a little out of town so you need a car. Rooms are spacious. Having the kitchenette is handy. Doubles are 2 twin beds pushed together which I personally don't like. Couch was tired looking and stained. No hair dryer in room but ask at reception and they will give you one for the duration of your stay. If you want to have a few drinks in town, they have a deal with green cabs - $25.00 fare ( usually about $30) Staff were pleasant. Free parking. Accommodation in Queenstown can be expensive - we found this place reasonable and free wifi in room.

The worst hotel ever, the worst staff ever. First of all, the rooms do not have any hair drier, trash or hot water. Yes, hot water. At night the hot water seems to be turned off... we stayed 2 nights and the room was not even cleaned once. They just replace our towels, not even made our bed. Also, the lodge corridors smell trashy and everything seems dirty. The cigarette smoke smells in the lobby and near our room. Really, don't even bother on giving this Lodge a chance. Go get something else, for the same price you'll get something way better and way closer to downtown. So disappointed.

Room is laid out like a hospital... corner bathroom and all. Kitchenette has a microwave, fridge, sink, dishes, cutlery. King bed is 2 singles pushed together & they're not the most comfortable and padded beds (as my back tells me today). No electric blankets. No hair dryer in room (you get one from the reception). Laundry - each level has a laundry room with 2 washers & 2 dryers - $4 per wash / dry and buy powder from reception at $2.50 each satchet - they sell small amounts of food also. TV is small, haven't watched it - but it's a 30" (or thereabouts). Value for money (including facilities), it's a lil overpriced but that's to be expected in Queenstown when you're 10kms from the main Queenstown city and literally 5 minutes drive up to Coronet Peak. Wifi is now free (from 21.7.17) & they give you 2GB to use on your stay (although it's not the quickest at least it's included now) 😁
