Other than being a bit pricey, the room was quite large and comfortable and felt more like an apartment than a hotel.

Great location, the staff was friendly and helpful. I would suggest that they put more than two glasses in the kitchen and a small container of dish soap to wash your dishes with. They did give you one packet of dish soap but if you are staying for 5 + days, it is not enough. They do have a dishwasher but I didn’t use it. All and all a good place to stay.

This hotel does not have a safe deposit box and so we were forced to leave our valuables in the room. I had a money pouch containing nearly $700 in USD and AUD. The housekeeper stole 350 AUD and 100 USD from the pouch and we even walked in on him while he was stealing. I saw him holding my backpack when we walked in but he immediately kept it back and was trembling thinking we had seen him stealing. He apologized profusely and left the room. I did not think that he had actually taken money out, but when I checked and noticed money missing, it was clear what I saw the previous day. No doubt about that. The hotel manager sent me a mail saying they will investigate but then informed me that their investigation revealed that the housekeeper had not stolen the money because he said so! How lame! I would advise everybody to never stay there.

In 30 years of business and leisure travel, this was the first time that a decent hotel did not have a safe deposit box and so we were forced to leave valuables in the room. Cash was stolen from inside a pouch in my backpack in the room and all the hotel said was that I should inform police. And after 6 hours of police notifications, nobody arrived to conduct any investigation, Poor, poor taste left after a decent stay. Irony is that we know which housekeeper stole it because we walked in on his stealing but didn't check immediately because we didn't think that was even possible that he would steal money from inside two layers,

Easy check-in, car park big enough for our SUV, great location for Queen St mall and dining options

it's really be a wonderful stay in this hotel, and i will back soon

for the good location to the city and transport is very important

for the location is very important to the city and airport, and the service of the staff as well, and for the facilities also be good in the hotel

Frequent visitor, always prefer to be in this location, the hotel is value for money, and perfect location in the city. Nice and friendly staff, will visit again, see you then...

We found the accommodation to be a perfect City Getaway. We were close to everything and the staff were very helpful. The room was perfect and very clean.

Modern clean hotel in center of Brisbane. easy to get to from airport. helpful staff.

I had a very pleasant stay at Oaks Charlotte for four days, and found every amenity bar one to be fine. The internet service is so bad that I will never stay at an Oaks property ever again, and if you have normal internet needs I'd suggest you never stay there either. In twenty years of business travel I have never come across a worse service. I opted for the weeklong package which at $90 was reasonable, and about what I'd expect to pay for broadband access at a four or five star hotel. However the volumetric cap meant that I had to upgrade to pay 10cents a MB on top of what I'd already paid, and then (amazingly) had to purchase an additional two hour package at the end of my stay because I had exceeded the amount that their internet provider considered reasonable. My usage during my time there was, by modern business standards, fairly normal: I had a few Skype calls I had to make for work, and had the usual morning and evening net-based work to do. I had one computer connected to the service, and didn't bother to connect any other devices (which would have boosted my usage, obviously). My final total was $176 for less than four full days of internet access, a figure that works out to nearly $45 per day, and which doesn't count the day or so when I was throttled back to dialup speeds. This is so far beyond the realm of the reasonable that I can't actually believe it. Every other part of the experience is fine. Staff were pleasant, the facilities were clean and well-appointed, and the location is very convenient. But the internet provider kills any good feeling I had about the experience of staying there.

The staff was wonderful in helping us get comfortable when we arrived from an overnight trip. Our room wasn't ready so early, so they gave us access to the shower in the exercise/pool area of the hotel, stored our luggage and made it possible for us to go on with our day. The 2 bedroom unit was roomy and comfortable, and the location near the central business and shopping district was perfect.

If you are in Brisbane this is the place to stay. You're in walking distance to everything. The Brisbane river and south beach just a short walk. Great Place
