The staff is wonderful, the hotel itself clean and comfortable. Easy on and off for the LIE
Only one night stay. Courtesy bus took us to train station at 61st St / Woodside to catch the "7" train which can take you to the Met's stadium or US Open Tennis complex. There are also a few small shops near the train station. Short walk up the hill from the hotel took us to O'Neill's restaurant which is part sports bar and part restaurant with good food. Courtesy bus took us to LaGuardia in the morning. Housekeeper on the 4th floor likes to sing and is quite good at it. If you should hear her, please compliment her.
Staff very helpful. Location not that great because nothing around but a cemetery. But , the free shuttle makes up for it. They will drop you off at metro and airport. Good complementary breakfast. Rooms clean.
Staying at the Comfort Inn in Maspeth, Queens allowed us to save on lodging and parking and enjoy more attractions and eateries in Manhattan. The ride into Manhattan was smooth... hotel shuttles were timely, drivers were friendly, and the Woodside/61st St. station serviced only one train, the 7 (only locals, never saw an express). Traveling with two teenage daughters, I was concerned about the safety of the Woodside neighborhood having never been to Queens. It was safe, there was nothing suspicious whatsoever. Hotel was relatively new, it was clean and comfortable with a better than average continental breakfast. Kids thought that Mt. Zion Cemetery was weird and creepy, I thought it was rather novel and unique. Either way, every slept fine. If you want to do Manhattan on the cheap and don't mind staying in another borough, this is a great choice. Two thumbs up for what we needed.
The staff are helpful, clean hotel, comfortable bed, and close to where I need to be, the hotel experience was wonderful.
The hotel was nothing special, but it was reasonably close to the airport and to the train station. It was definitely worth the cost.
Great shuttle service to and from LaGuardia Airport. Driver gave us tips on food delivery. Staff was friendly. Room was comfortable. Always those yummy, do-it-yourself waffles! Not convenient to access mass transit or restaurants, but the shuttle service is very helpful with that.
Location was great and the room was very comfortable.
Dirty carpets, tasteless breakfast (but free!) super old lobby computer, and generally icky. This will not be my preference next time I need a room near LGA. Overpriced for low quality.
Did not spend much time in the room but when we were there we treated very nice and the room was great!
Tried to stay there for the night but ended up leaving shortly after 45 minutes after having a skin allergy to the sheets which I thought was bed bugs. The room was disgusting, old and the sheets were full of stains. I left promptly but the customer service was so slow and non existent that I couldn't even ask for a refund. Never again.
The hotel located at Maurice Ave is located conveniently to Midtown Manhattan, Greenpoint, Brooklyn and shopping on Queens Blvd. The front desk staff is very friendly and extend a warm welcome at registration, check out or any other time you need them. Complementary Breakfast is provided daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM. It consists of your choice of eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, yogurt, fruit, waffles, bagels and an assortment of pastries. The food turns over quickly and is therefore fresh throughout the breakfast time. The rooms are good size and comfortable. A good value for the price.
My husband and I went to NYC for 6 days to attend a graduation from Hofstra U. and sight seeing. The graduate lives in Brooklyn. We wanted a hotel convenient to both locations. A friend had stayed here on business. There was one poorly maintained elevator. When I stepped out onto the 3rd floor, the rug was wrinkled. The room was clean but the bedspread was a light color and had stains. The rug was also stained. The beds were comfortable. It took 3 tries to get a remote that worked for the TV. Each day the housekeeper left us a different number of towels. Some days no face towels, hand towels or bath mat. The first day the room was not cleaned until after 4 PM. We needed to get the housekeeper. They all spoke different languages, none spoke any English. It was apparent that the supervisor was unable to communicate with them. The desk staff was not very helpful and not very well dressed. There is a shuttle to & from the nearest subway stop and the airport. When returning from a subway trip you call when you get to the stop. It takes about 15 min. for the driver to arrive if he comes straight there. The problem was that the desk personnel don't always tell you if the driver is coming right away and one time we were put on hold for 15 min. You can wait a long time. The breakfast was very poor. They would have cereal and no milk, waffles and no syrup. The counter was not kept tidy. The person maintaining the breakfast counter spoke no English.
very clean room, friendly and helpful staff;location is near airport and our daughter's college
Easy check in; good parking; clen room, quiet; good breakfast. Hallway smells of cigarette smoke; room very small.
From my airport pick up, to the subway drop off, to my check out, everyone was wonderfully nice. Even before i arrived, the desk clerks I spoke with answered my questions and never seemed annoyed. I was surprised at the room size. I was expecting someting much smaller based on what I had heard about New York. The beds were very comfortable. Overall, I was very pleased with my stay.
No flat screen TV, really? Seems a bit outdated. Also, no pre-order movies. Room was quite small. Someone took their garbage out the night before - it was still there when I left the hotel the next morning. I asked for an emailed copy of my folio - was then told no because I made my reservation through a third party -[...].
We mostly slept while there.I would strongly advise anyone planning on staying there to bring your pillow. The hotel pillows are not good.
I liked this hotel it was very near all the places i was going to b going to so it made my time very flexible. It actually had parking @ no extra charge!!!! that was surprising to me... u don't get may of those around there... The building is very new so everything is in good shape & very comfortable!!! I loved the Beds & the pillows!!!
