Awful, terrible, prejudice service
I moved to Texas from the Milwaukee area recently but still havxv xx xe to drive up to WI for work. At the time I booked a room at this hotel, I had not yet gotten my Texas drivers license and was still using my WI license. The incredibly rude and unpleasant woman at the desk REFUSED to give me a room because the hotel does not rent rooms to people who live within 30 miles, regardless of the fact that I explained that I had moved, showed her my truck with Texas plates, my business cards with my Texas office address, my Texas area code cellphone number and a home utility bill for my house in Houston. I understand the policy, and the reason behind it (to keep out unwanted distasteful business) but I also know that clerks are allowed to disregard that rule at their own discretion. Had she been reasonable, not judgemental and offered an on-site refund, I probably wouldn't have even left a review, good or bad. But I had just driven a super long distance and really just wanted to relax, and instead I was spoken to very disrespectfully, forced to find a new hotel and pay for a SECOND room on the same night. Went to the Raddison by the Mayfair Mall, who were not bothered at all by my Wisconsin license and was overall a MUCH better hotel. They did end up refunding me but it took a few days and a few phone calls Expedia and the so called manager. I honestly wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel. I can't imagine that they would treat any guests well, based on my experience.
