After all the glowing reviews of this hotel, we were disappointed. I found the staff's "enthusiasm" to be forced and artificial. Our butler always seemed to be rushed and more interested in running off to another task than taking time to listen to our requests. He was of limited value to us. Oddly, we found it extremely difficult to fins a comfortable place to sit. The bar stools in the lobby were the worst. During our stay, there was a significant storm. This caused some flooding into the pool than wound around by our room. After the storm, the water was a disgusting brown. In the first day after the storm, we saw no activity to indicate any effort to clean or repair the pool. There was no communication from the hotel or our butler. Because we had paid a premium to have a room with direct access to the pool (known in other hotels as a swim-out) and we could not use that pool, we decided to move to another resort. We were extremely pleased that we made that decision. One more note: the food we had was fine. We were only at the resort for three days. I think the food would have been very monotonous if we had stayed there all week. Overall: meh.

Very relaxing hotel with a low key vibe and great service. The hotel is about an hour from the airport on the Atlantic side. It has 96 rooms and 3 main restaurants for dinner, a great dining area with beach views for lunch and breakfast, and two bars one pool and one lobby. The restaurant didn't require a reservation, you walk in and a table is ready. The menus were all high end from surf and turf for lunch to lamb for dinner. The beach wait staff is amazing. Joel brought drinks and food to my wife and I without us even asking. If your looking for a relaxing resort without lines and exceptional service this is the place for you.

Everything was perfect! Awesome service, beautiful views, stunning pools, delicious foods. Everything was included, even wifi and laundry services, as well food, alcohol, 20 min. massage, horseback riding on the beach, and snacks.

The staff is very nice at Zoetry. The pool is supper nice. They do have a seaweed problem that they clean up every day.

My husband and I just spent a week at Zoetry Punta Cana - we loved it! This is a quiet resort that is perfect for quiet relaxation. The only place it can get a little loud is at the swim up bar but there were also days it was very peaceful (there was a group traveling together while we were there that could get a little loud but most people travel as couples). The rooms and grounds were very well maintained and clean. There are only a few restaurants that are open during meal times but that never bothered us- there were lots of options! Our favorite restaurant was Olena! Late afternoon/early evening, it was a little more work to get a drink at the pool as the beach bar closed at 5- we would walk to the swim up bar for drinks - that is probably our only con which was very minor!! Staff was very friendly - the resort claims that all guests have a butler- I think this depends on who your butler is. We met ours the first day and didn't really see him after that which is fine because we didn't need anything- the resort has a VIP desk and the front desk which would have been able to set anything else up! I think we could have also asked Roberto - he was so friendly and happy to help anyone! Overall, I would definitely recommend this resort for a low key vacation!

stayed at the zoetry in cabo, which couldn't have been more amazing. so we were happy to spend extra money to stay here, but with admittedly high expectations. overall the resort was great, and we had a nice time, the weather was great, resort was secluded and we thought the food was awesome. but there were aspects of the service that were flat out disappointing. ordering room service nearly daily, the order was messed up each day. not regular coke instead of diet coke, but missing an entire plate of food. or not bringing the drinks that were ordered. the bar was not stocked well at all. poor selection of beer- i didn't need a microbrew from colorado, but just something other than heinekin or the local beer, which was awful. one occasion, though, i ordered a beer for lunch at 12, and was told there was not any cold beer available to drink. really? twice, they were unable to poor the drink that i called- with bottles that were in plain view. i.e., i saw a bottle of jim beam, wanted a beam/coke, and there was not enough in the bottle to make a drink. instead of having another bottle under the bar, going to get a bottle from another bar, i had to pick something else. same with tang gin. if they display standard booze, they should be able to poor a drink. beach service was certainly slow and underwhelming. my expectations may have been high, but having a cold beer or a standard bourbon available (vs empty bottle still displayed on the bar) shouldn't be an issue for the price that we paid. i thought that it was bush league, really. some interactions with front desk staff after check in were not great, but for the most part, the staff were very friendly and willing to do whatever thy could to make a better experience for us. the food was very good, and we found that the selection was adequate for a 7 night stay. the resort was quiet, secluded, without any kids activities. that was perfect for us, as all we wanted to do was get away and relax on a beautiful beach. the water was warm and ocean very swimmable. despite daily fumigation, mosquitos made it impossible to have dinner outside at night. no issue during day though. overall, beautiful secluded location but level of professionalism from staff fell short of expectations.

Excellent. This experience was a peaceful, relaxing and accommodating. Food and service beyond expectations. If you are looking for a relaxing not crowded place just to decompress here it is!

Good- Hotel is made mainly for couples. Very quiet and relaxing. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was good but keep in mind the proportions are for healthy eaters. Variety of dishes was good. Drinks were plentiful. Very clean rooms and public areas. Beach area had enough chairs and towels. Pool was good but unecessary with the beach so close. Some activites like horseback riding, dance lessons, etc. Bad- 1 hour cab ride from airport. $80 fee for cab ride/one way. Location not ideal for activities outside the hotel. Housekeeping visits 3 times a day so be prepared to leave your do not disturb sign out. Construction currently ongoing on some rooms so a bit noisy at times. Same goes for daily gardening and fumigating. Once a week, local souvenir sellers setup on hotel grounds to show their wares. The bad part of this are the prices and how aggresive they are in their selling. Of note- Beach area designed only for wading, no snorkeling or surfing possible. Very little entertainment at hotel for those who wish a Vegas style experience. No disco or shows. Those are available at neighboring resorts but are not that good but ymmv.

Great experience at the resort. Staff was wonderful, food was good. A very intimate feel there and had everything you needed. Less to do when it rains outside but the spa is available. Just be aware that the resort is 1hr from the airport and a taxi ride is $80 each way. And make sure to use the OFF spray!

Everything here is amazing...the staff...the food...not typical all inclusive at all. Everything 5 star!! Definitely will go back, best vacation ever!!

The food is great. The service is great. The location is great. The few things they could do to make it better is to get their staff trained just a little bit better. Communication wise. Also, perhaps put in a bug net on the bed so you can sleep comfortably. The bugs get a bit crazy.

Very disappointed with this hotel. Beach was dirty, activites that were posted did not happen and tried for 3 days to get a bottle opener for the room . Room was not ready when we arrived at 4pm and they used a tactic of showing us around and telling us to eat. It was funny to watch for the next four days as it happened to other couples. Service was slow at best and they make a point of telling you that room services is available 24 hours a day but I think they meant it takes 24 hours to get anything. There are 3 restaurants in the resort but only god knows which ones would be open at night

For us this vacation was all about relaxing. The ocean was beautiful, the beach was beautiful, and the weather was great. There were plenty of things to do, but we mostly read and went in the ocean. We did take advantage of the spa (spa has potential, but not as good as it could be) and the fitness center (so-so). We also went horseback riding on the beach and attended a cooking lesson. Overall, we were very satisfied with this vacation. We will try other Zoetry resorts.

Superb. Clean, beautiful accomodations and a very friendly and efficient staff. Food was very good.

If the weather is nice, and it was for us, this is a great place to relax and just veg with a good book. The beach is beautiful - very isolated - no jet skis, not banana boats, no hoards of people. Our room was lovely and housekeeping was excellent. Food was good and plentiful. We made special requests a couple of times and were pleased with the results. There are no buffet's - only the Special Friday Night Beach Dinner. We did not use the included room service but everyone we talked to who did was pleased. Food and drink service on the beach and around the pool was excellent without being intrusive. The spa was lovely - as expected - had a couple of services and with the coupons included in the package the prices were comparable to the States. Spanish is the primary language of the DR and if you need to be understood perfectly all the time - this is not the resort for you. That being said, combing my husband's high school Spanish and a dictionary, we had no problems and rather enjoyed the experience - though a couple of our fellow guests obviously found the situation frustrating. The resort has Wifi - worked great up in the lobby though a little spotty in our room. Saw lots of e-readers, Ipods and Ipads around the pool. My own Kindle did well though Amazon wanted an extra $5 to deliver my daily paper (didn't bother). This is a very quiet resort - no evening entertainment, no music at the beach bar / restaurant - just lots of peace and quiet.

Dear W, We are terrebly sorry knowing that we didn't exceed your expectations, as you mention, we did had an unusual storm (01/05) that caused a lot of damages not only in the hotel, in all the sourroundings. Unfortunately this storm caused several damages that needed more than one day to solve, finally we were able to stabilize one of the pools that was the most affected. Me and my staff are really ashamed for the inconviniences that this unfortunate situations may have caused you. We all do a great effort in order to make our guests’ vacations flawless and pleasant, therefore reading your comments makes us sad, we would love to make your stay memorable and beyond. We strictly follow our bugs (mosquitoes) prevention program in order to avoid these kind of incidents, despite our environment and our concept which is all natural, we are not having these kind of incidents very often due to our measures. However, as you may understand, being in the Caribbean with this particular weather we might not have total control of these insects. Again, we do appreciate and value your time and your comments which will undoubtedly just double our efforts to improve in general, especially in this specific area. perfect relaxing vacation

My husband and I just spent a week at Zoetry Punta Cana - we loved it! This is a quiet resort that is perfect for quiet relaxation. The only place it can get a little loud is at the swim up bar but there were also days it was very peaceful (there was a group traveling together while we were there that could get a little loud but most people travel as couples).
