Sirenis Punta Cana Resort Casino & Aquagames - All Inclusive

3.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

We (meaning my wife and two adult children) stayed at the resort for two nights which is a short time for us. I believe all of us would agree that the resort was a bit small and some what limited in day and night time activities. Fortunately, rest and relaxation was at the top of our agenda.

People are so nice and they have everything you can ask for

the hotel was huge! And we were surprised when we realized that everything was actually inclusive (some of the reviews said that only breakfast was included). We got buffet for breakfast, lunch & dinner accompanied with two vouchers for two restaurants of our selection. Some of the staffs were very sweet and helpful such as Jonathan from the pool bar and chefs from the buffet who actually made us mangu very early in the morning before catching our flights. I loved how every night the buffet had a different theme going on with different foods! Some staffs were rude and looked like they didn't want to be bothered while serving at the bar. I also witnessed two waitress (a couple) kiss while working and handling out beverages. But I liked the food, the events, pools and bars so I will forget the rude staff & how the lights went off when checking in , twice. Over all, I loved it and will be going to the sirenis in any other cities or countries!

Beach and pool were the only good things . Rooms were old fashion and barely clean . Trying to buy excursions like zip lining etc felt like I got ripped off . Bought 3 for 450 and another guy working at the hotel would of gave me 4 for 350 .

Friendly staff, food was very good, the shows were fun every night something different. Nice facility although I think management should do upgrades to the resort. It's huge but a bit outdated. Lots to do all day long

alcohol drinks so so, they should use better ones. But in general really good hotel.

Sirenis offers the best value and amenities for a family vacation in Punta Caba / Bavaro area. Kids will be kept busy all day long. Amenities for kids are clean and well supervised. This set-up free adults to enjoy their time by themselves in excellent surroundings. The all inclusive is average, but certainly good for the price.

DO NOT, I REPEAT...DO NOT go to this resort. The waterpark is great for 5 years old, my 8 years old got bored of the 5 slides by the 2nd hour, we were there 6 days :(. This hotel has no beach because the algea/seaweed has eaten it away, they have not cleaned up the beach like the other hotels in the earea (breathless, excelence, dreams) have, the beach weather you belong to their VIP club or you are like me paying $5k for a family or 4, you will get the same disgusting beach. The pool was ok, kiddy area was too hot for my 5 and 8 years old. The entertainment people are very talented. The service people do their best with what they have been given. Drinks are waterdown. Rooms are old and rundown. The sales people trying to sell you timeshare are vultures at best. I will never go back to this hotel, even if they gave me a free vacation. Be Warned, I wish I had read the reviews.

Arriving at the hotel, it was extremely chaotic at the front desk. Our room was not ready at 3:00 so We had to wait. During that time I was ignored until someone came over to tell them I've been waiting for over an hour. They finally put us in a room, in which it smelled badly and had urine on the toilet seat. The next day we went to their restaurant which was absolutely disgusting, we became sick and I had food poisoning. thankfully we went on our awesome dolphin excursion and they had real meet to eat at their restaurant, so we survive that day. The hotel have a store with junk food so we survive off that for a couple of days. We decided to give their restaurant another try and biting in the sausage, I kid you not, their was a dead fly inside of it. The chef came out to apologize and made us reservations for a seafood restaurant which had me on the toilet puking from my mouth and from the other end. So we decided to stick to the junk food because each restaurant we ate made us sick. The employees that work there told us that they do not eat the food because everyone gets sick. They said stick to the fruit and jello. If you want to loose weight on vacation this resort is for you. In addition, We bought the wifi at the hotel, they did not tell us we could not use it in the room. We had to go to the front desk 4 times in order for it to work. Later we decided to order room service because we were starving and Cheetos were to expensive to purchase for lunch breakfast and dinner. Room service was suppose to be there in 25 mins, in one hour I called to check on my food. I honestly think they forgot because 25 mins later it came. It was cold and the bread was hard. We thought we were playing it safe by ordering a grill cheese sandwich. We complained to the staff regarding our experiences and they sympathize with us but they have heard it all before. They have members only section which was something that interest me so we talk to the sales people and they were rude which was very unprofessional. I did not want to purchase what they were offering for 1700 USD without thinking about it. So they told us to just get up and go. The reason why we didn't purchase the VIP package was not because of money, It was simply because when I told lewis the manager about the uncleanliness of my room, he said well that's what u get when you are not VIP, we are not always honest to the travel agents about what type of room you are getting. This was a bold statement and why would I want to go into business with someone who makes remarks like that when that was a areas of opportunities. The last two days, we had no water between 8am-12pm which means no shower, toilet couldn't flush so our room was smelly. Our TV didn't work for two days and they sent a guy to fix it at 11 pm which was 4 hours after we call. They told us he will be right over. When he finally arrives, we showed him what was wrong with our TV and he said I will be right back. He never came back. Another guy came at 9am the next day, he look at our TV And said the same thing, I'll be back never came back. Thankfully it was check out time. We wanted to talk to the manager who was in the back but did not want to come out because they said he is dealing with a lot. They sent us to people who were unable to listen with action. Two hours later we are still waiting for a manager and at this time we have to go because our airport shuttle was there. The receptionist went to get the manager to take off charges for our room service And wifi. It took them two hours to take those charges off and we still didn't speak to a manager. He told the front desk what to do and walked away. There was no apology given. The receptionist are a better suite for the manager job than Sirenis managers.

staff was great - lobby bartender Louis was especially great always making my wife his signature drink that she loved. Paid to upgrade from a Junior suite with two double beds to a junior suite with a king size bed but upon arrival was told that a king bed was not available. Not sure how booking an upgrade and paying the extra fee six months in advance to be told it wasn't available makes any sense but whatever the wife and I just pushed the doubles together or slept separate though annoying it didn't make or break the trip. The beds are however too hard in my opinion yet bearable. The grounds are beautiful the beach is good they do their best to keep it clean. the food is just ok the room was kept clean the maid was great at making sure everything was in order. nightly shows were good , Casino is small but enjoyable, our kids stayed home for this trip but i am sure they would really enjoy the large water park that is about a 5 minute walk from the lobby. overall we had a good time and that is really all that matters

EVERYTHING WAS GOOD, EXCEPT THE STAFF...I STAY IN OTHERS HOTELS IN PUNTA CANA WITH BETTER SERVICE ....

I would recommend this hotel to anyone interested in having good family time.

I had a wonderful time on this vacation but like most people I want my fun to match my comfort. When we arrived to the hotel it was absolutely gorgeous. You could tell they really invest a lot of time and money into the resort, with the exception of the rooms. The rooms were as basic as they come. The beds were not comfortable at all. Room service definitely needs to be addressed. When we first arrived we did not have any small face towels and when we told the front desk they made it seem as if they didnt have any. The next day when a new shift had arrived I called to the front desk to let them know we still didnt have any face towels and it literally took 2 phone calls a stop at the front counter and a conversation the next morning with the cleaning crew before I received them. We had to use the big hand towels to shower with. We didnt get any until the next day which I feel is unacceptable. Most of the staff speaks a little english so get your espanol together before you come because it can be quite a barrier at times. So unless you really don't care about the rooms you will love this hotel. All my drinkers beware. This NOT does not carry your typical American liquor only their countries brand so dont come looking for Ciroc Absolute Vodka or anything of that nature. MamaJuana is their countries most favorite drink and its not bad. I love any activity with the water so the waterpark was a plus. DO NOT LOOSE YOUR ROOM KEYS. They will charge you $20 for each key you loose. I asked other travelers about their experience with their hotels and they said they enjoyed their stay at Excellence and Dreams. If I ever make it back to the DR I will try those hotels. This is more of a 3 or 4 star hotel.
