Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana - Adults Only - All Inclusive

4.5 out of 5.0

I loved our stay at Secrets, they have excellent customer service. Many restaurants, and things to due on the resort. I really liked live entertainment at nights. Best all inclusive for the price.

Excellent Beach and entertainment. Very good service Food was ok to good. One bad experience with the service at Portifino

Sit back, relax and soak up the rum and sun. If that is what you want to do then this is the right place for you. Other than the sales pitch it was a perfect vacation. We could do what we wanted and when we wanted. The food was wonderful, but at times the service lacked but only during peek times. Leo on the beach (can't remember how to spell his name) and Angel for our swim up room drinks made the stay fun and relaxing. The entertainment staff was always putting something together to get you to interact and get out of your comfort zone which makes for great memories. We went with Seapro for a diving trim and it was wonderful. Not sure the preferred section is all that great. Their pool is small and they have to walk further for the lazy river and the better restaurants. The room may be nicer but who wants to be inside or at a small pool next to the sister resort with kids when you want adults only. Highly recommend the swim up rooms. We were in room 4140 which had lots of sun compared to the other side. The VIP staff wants you to spend money for things like the spa etc. If that is what you are there then make sure you stop by there. The people that do the Vacation Unlimited sales pitch pretend to be best friends but when you say no the smile goes away and they want nothing to do with you. The staff is what makes the place unforgettable. Always smiling and always willing to help.

Overall it was a great time , the pool, with the lazy river was very nice, it was also awesome having the beach steps away..

Great food, fun activities, gorgeous beach, perfect for groups, amazing staff.

We budget and plan on being on a sandy beach every year around the end of January. We have birthdays very close together, and fleeing the cold of the Midwest to be lounging on a sandy beach is something we look forward to annually. This is our third consecutive year traveling for our joint event, and the Secrets Royal Beach experience was a very warm welcome. We upgraded to the Preferred level and enjoyed all the small little perks that come with it: expedited check in/out, a preferred lounge that offers the best beer, wine, and liquor, access to the preferred beach facilities with top notch beverage service and a butler to assist with things. I highly recommend utilizing the VIP service through the airport, this has to be set up through the airport and is completely separate from Secrets! Also, you can arrange for personal transportation to and from the airport in a private van. The combination of these two services is worth every penny as we were able to speed through the airport on arrival, essentially bypassing every line on our way to our transport that was waiting for us. We were the first ones on our flight to be on the beach by probably a couple of hours. Another tip is to bring plenty of $1.00 and $5.00 bills. The staff are very receptive to enhancing your experience when some cash is around to sweeten the pot. Though not required, it is a show of good faith, and the economy their allows for a massive economic boon from a small amount of US dollars.

Staff was amazing; they went above and beyond to make our trip one to remember. In carnival Modesto and migeal had our table decorated differently daily. By the pool angel, leonoibs, and Carlos never let our drinks run low. Lucus and the entire front counter staff were out of this world. They made my friends 60th birthday one of a kind.

Housekeeping and landscapers are the biggest asset to their team. The rooms and grounds are flawless. The entertainment team can be overzealous, jumping into pool/beach area with guests. Excursion vendors are super aggressive, trolling up and down beach literally all day. Half of them are not even affiliated with the resort, (no uniform). Food is excellent. Grounds are enourmous. Security is pretty good, asking who and where people are going to at the gate exit/entrance.

We really enjoy our vacation, we had lots of fun. Service was the best

Spent a great 4 days here. Attentive, friendly staff. Great food at La Riviera, and very clean, beautiful resort. No complaints at all.

Staff was warm, welcoming and professional from arrival to departure. Lovely, clean and well maintained property. Food was marginal at best -- plentiful and nicely presented but lacked flavor.

Overall we had a great stay! The staff was wonderful, the rooms are nice, beaches are beautiful, plenty to do. The only things we weren't pleased about were when we got there, there was a huge stain on our sheets which was kinda gross. The rooms overall were nice but could be updated. The food there (pretty much anywhere in the DR) wasn't great but it wasn't bad either...it just depends on the restaurant. The buffets weren't very good but we loved Portofino and Seaside Grill. BE CAREFUL drinking water, eating ice, eating fruit etc. They also cook their meat differently so if you want your steak cooked medium, ask for medium well or well done. We upgraded to the Preferred Club and it was totally worth it! Completely separate and more private part of the beach, private pool and bar, certain restaurants we could go to that others couldn't and we could also go to Now Larimar restaurants at the resort next door. Overall it was a great place for the amount we paid.

After much research on honeymoon destinations and all inclusive resorts we chose this one and were very impressed. All staff were very friendly (always greeting us with a hello, drinks, and a smile). The property was very clean and well maintained. We really enjoyed the little touches (like folded towel swans, slippers, incense, fridge restocked every day, and much more). Check in was quick and upon our arrival we were greeted with a welcome home, a cool towel, and a glass of champagne. The valet unloaded our bags, gave us a ride to our room, and gave us a tour. The room was spacious and a/c worked well. Room service was nice- especially on the day that our excursion left before restaurants were open. Food was always plentiful and tasted great. Our favorite restaurant was the beach front steakhouse. Our favorite bar was the beach bar- Carlos and Santa took wonderful care of keeping our drinks refilled and we really appreciated their kindness (tip: bring an insulated cup to keep refilling and keep your drink cold). We booked a couple's massage at the spa (which the massage itself was good) but there was confusion due to the language barrier (which was not as evident at other parts of the resort). Also, parts of the hydrotherapy were not working and needed serviced. Overall, we loved the resort and would highly recommend visiting!

As always Secrets delivers. The beach has done seedweed, but other then that this hotel was great. Are all the bartenders consistent-no but the staff rememberin what you eat, drink, and like make up for it! They wouldn't even let me carry my plate from the buffet to my table. Just amazingly great service and staff. Bernard and Menquis were great! BUT ROBERT WAS AMAZING

Has everything needed for a great honeymoon or a great vacation experiece

Great value for the money . Buffet need improvement

Place is perfect: service, location and food. Clean throughout, definitely coming back! No clue about wifi, didn't use it.

Just returned from a 6d/5n at this resort. The staff was outstanding, especially the entertainment team at the poolside. The rooms were clean, but the only complaint is the placement of the hot tub: on the patio. This is not a good location, especially for first floor rooms, which I originally had but had to move to a second floor location. Also, the nighttime entertainment was extremely disappointing. All in all, I would rate this 4.5/5 stars.

The resort was very nice and peaceful. You could easily relax on the beach or at your room. The beach is white sand and clean where you swim, but there was a lot of seaweed washed ashore which was being cleared daily. We had a swim up room which was great. The staff was helpful and Fernando the bar waitor made our stay enjoyable. Be prepared to pay extra for WIFI access, sailing damage waiver which was unexpected. There were a lot of activities right off the resorts beach like parasailing, speed boats catamaran trips and such. Overall we got a lot of sun and enjoyment from our stay
