Reserved a room with king size bed, got one with 2 twins possibly 2 small fulls. Leak in bathroom always water behind toilet. Sliding door difficult to open. Hotel workers never gave accurate info: Told don't need reservations except for 2 restaurants not included but in reality needed for all restaurants. All inclusive but 2restaurant were additional cost. all inclusive but not able to go to pools and beach by level section. Place too big and not enough transportation

No music at all, no options to do at night, only a girl who sings for about one hour at one of the bars, no activities

Amazing time . I love this hotel the managament is superb was outstanding !! The staff at the restaurant at the Level restaurant made us feel so welcoming giving us outstanding service, food ,the night entertaiment was great They teach you everyone to dance . The rooms are very clean with very comfortable beds plus no mosquitos .

It took us over 4 hours to check in and when we finally got our rooms there were tons of things broken that needed immediate assistance. The back door lock was broken in 3 of our rooms. Three of our room safes were not working properly and the following day the toilet stopped flushing. The maid didn't understand what we wanted in our room and the check out was horrible. Our flight was 3:00 and we had to check out in 2 different lobbies and wait on the same line as the people who were checking in and needing room changes. People were getting ahead of those who waited on line for over 30 minutes, and there was no Air conditioning while you waited. The restaurants were mostly closed and if they were open , you were told that you didn't need reservations only to end up waiting anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes and still not get to eat with your guests. The food servers were very slow and often unresponsive.

My trip was good. I enjoyed the staff, food, and drinks were good. The only thing I didn't like that was no room service, and we weren't allow in circle facilities of the hotel. But overall was a good trip

Overall the hotel was less then ***.The room was ok. Same electrician outlet they were out from the wall , sometime The shower or The bathroom faucet was coming hot water could not make it in mixed with cold water.The servis was very bad.Room servis, waitress ,front desk no one was helping you.Bad experience.

Horeible check in. They didn't give me a room after 4 hours of check in and when they finally gave me a room they gave me a room with 2 twin beds when I was traveling with 3 other family members. I had to sleep on the floor for the 1st night because they didn't have another room for us. Bad front desk. Its way over crowded.

Had a wonderful time relaxing and enjoying the many amenities available on the property. The upgrade to the Level-Adults Only was perfect for our group. Staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms could be upgraded a bit but overall we had a great time!

We had a wonderful stay at Melia tropical. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our room on the level adults only was great. The rooms were cleaned daily with turn down service in the evening. We enjoyed the large pool and swim up bar. You could always get service and people were friendly. The beach was pristine and there were no issues getting chairs or towels. The food we thought was only so-so but there were plenty of options to choose from. we would go back

We stayed 9 days at this hotel. This was our third trip to Melia out of five years. We will continue to return because of the staff, food and facilities. Beaches are clean and we have many new friends that we will always keep in touch with. Overall our experience at the resort was special.

Overall we had a great stay at this hotel, room cleaning must be improved though.

The grounds were beautiful. We stayed in a family junior sweet. The room was so so. The sheets were rough and scratchy. The 2 full size beds were not full size. Each was about a twin and a half. My husband and I couldn't even sleep in the same bed. The twin beds for the kids were fine though. The bathroom had grout falling out in between the tiles and didn't seem like you could get it really clean. Mildew on the caulk. The room smelled a bit musty. Our cleaning lady was great. She made the room up nicely around our stuff. This is a big resort, while right on the beach, if you are on the far end of the resort you have to take a shuttle/train to get to the beach. The trains were full a lot of the time and we would have to walk to get to some of the restaurants in the evening. A walk that far with little kids wasn't the greatest. But manageable. Overall I would stay here again though because of the proximity to the beach and the nice pool.

We've been here 5 times and always choose to stay at Melia Caribe Tropical. There are many choices of where to stay in Punta Cana but always choose Melia. The experience is always great.

Hotel very close to the beach, food was good but the staff was awesome!! Rafael the bartender was awesome! He made the best drinks! We did all the activities at the hotel thanks to dorky and Dumbo! We played darts, beach volleyball, zumba etc... overall it was a great vacation. I definitely recommend to stay at the level because you get access to EVERYTHING!!

We were blown away at this resort. Beautiful private Beach. I usually spend all my time at the beach however the pool is so amazing & we had a cabana all week. They have a casino, mall, PLENTY of places to eat, spa,gym with outdoor yoga, gift shops, and on beach access to any water sort you would want. Entertainment e erynight at the outdoor theater. You have a personal staff members phone number to text & call for anything. So afforadable. We stayed 7 days & never left the resort because it had all we could ever want. Never waited for anything. Friendly staff & the best vacation we have ever had. We will be back. PS: First out of country resort that The A/C was COLD!! Love it. Highly recommended it to anyone.

The hotel was nice, in my experience the worst was the cleaning of my room.

Overall the resort is pretty, food is good, the staff is very helpful and considerate. I've been to quite a few 5star resorts in the caribbean, so in comparison, we found this resort to be TOO large. Its at least a 10-15 min walk from the room to the beach. There are closer rooms, in the Level section, which are more costly and the staff is constantly trying to upsell you coming back and being in the more "exclusive" section. There are trolley's to get you to and from the dining area or beach, but the Level people have little go-cart drivers to pick them up. The trolleys and go-carts and service vehicles all drive down the same path that everyone walks on, so you are constantly dodging automobiles. Even our kids found it annoying that there were constant traffic jams in our walking space and that the Level people would zoom by , while the rest of us waited 10 min for a trolley. The pool: nice and a beautiful beach. It's literally a 5 min walk to get around the pool, no bridge from one side to the other, so if you want a drink (as it is all inclusive) you have to make a long trek to get to the ONE bar that is at the pool. There are no servers walking around to take orders, you are totally on your own. There is food close by the pool, which is nice, but nothing snack like that you can take back to the pool or just grab near the pool. Overall, we felt we were under constant attack of "buy this" from not only staff, but Orbiz and all travel companies, which was annoying

My trip was good. I enjoyed the staff, food, and drinks were good. The only thing I didn't like that was no room service, and we weren't allow in circle facilities of the hotel. But overall was a good trip
