The only issue is parking as you will need to find parking on the street so as you drive to hotel if you see parking take it. I was lucky as I called hotel for directions a staff was leaving and waited for me to find hotel and parked in his spot and I didn't move it till I left, walked to few good restaurants in walking distance, very safe area police always around is worth, other than parking the place is great, will come back for sure.

I really liked the hotel the staff was very friendly and helpful they had everything you needed chairs towels water toys for the beach

I truly enjoyed my stay at Tres Palmas Inn. The hotel is literally across from the beach and very close to a few restaurants in the neighborhood. The staff was beyond friendly and helped us locate places of interest to visit. Lastly, it was cheaper in comparison to the other nearby hotels.

Hotel is more a motel/bnb - cross. The rooms all have tile no carpet (once in Puerto Rico you'll understand why -weather-) the place overlooks the beach, it's just a literal walk across the street. We did have an AC issue but it was remedied well, Most of the staff encountered or dealt with were pleasant. Pool was glorious for hanging out and cooling off. Bed comfy-ish extra pillows that I requested were in room upon check in. A nice place to stay for little money. I would go back.

We lived there for two nights. The location is great. It faces to the sea which has a great view. However, the room doesn't have hot water for two whole day. We talked to the staff and they asked us to wait cause there is nothing they can do. We'll, you can find a better place to live for this price.

1. Hotel staff were most accommodating to every need: from obtaining beach towels, to helping us borrow beach chairs. Room cleaning staff listened to our need for an extra towel or to leave the room alone, if we desired. 2. The terrazzo level is most appealing. As well, the grounds with gardens of greenery, ocean front views, and mostly, the jacuzzi tub at roof level. Feel the relaxed atmosphere by lounging on a hammock or sitting in garden areas. 3. Nice to start the day with included breakfast, hot coffee or tea, bananas, and other foods from which to choose.

We were just transiting through San Juan, PR to our final destination of Vieques Island and had not booked anything before hand. We read about Tres Palmas at our hotel in New Orleans the day we were to fly out and took a chance and booked it. It is truly a gem. The location is spectacular, the staff was very accommodating, the rooms were lovely, and it was a pleasant respite in our journey.

Nice location,,staff was great,,very clean and secure...

Great hotel for a great price...parking is a bit of a problem because you have to park on the street but I would definitely stay there again....Great ocean view, awesome jacuzzi overlooking the Caribbean Sea and friendly and helpful stay...

Our stay was amazing. The front desk people were amazing. They were so helpful..ask were to buy bug spray and they gave us a bottle. Asked information about how to get top down town and was advised what bus and where to pick it up. The breakfast was just what we needed. Hardboiled eggs, chocolate cake, toast, bagels.. With fresh juice and milk. Our room was big and comfortable. Thank you for a prefect mini vacation

Tres Palmas Inn was the perfect hideaway for my husband and I to enjoy San Juan on our honeymoon. We appreciated the friendly and helpful staff always being there to answer all of our questions. The room was cozy and quiet. The view from the rooftop hot tub were amazing and we enjoyed them each night of our stay. When they say the beach is across the street they're not kidding! Within walking distance to Kasalta and Che's, both restaurants we enjoyed while in San Juan. The complimentary breakfast each morning was always fresh and tasty! We would highly recommend it to friends & family, and would definitely stay at Tres Palmas Inn again if we are ever back in San Juan!

Tres Palmas met all my expectations I had when I booked the stay. Quiet little inn with a picture perfect view and service. It was really relaxing without the usual hustle an bustle of the big hotels and crowds. Daily morning breakfast was good enough and hit the spot. The rooms were very clean and all the staff was friendly and helpful. Place is a walking distance to some good restaurants and about a 15 minute drive to old san juan. I definitely recommend Tres Palmas if you are looking to just relax, away from the crowded areas.

I received personalized service... Exceptional customer service from the moment I walked up to the desk. Very clean, secured environment that made me not only feel welcomed, but safe and part of property.

We stayed one night before catching a cruise ship. Arrived early enough in the day to enjoy a walk on the beach (right across the street). We were referred to a small restaurant down the street where we ate an awesome skirt steak & enjoyed freshly made sangria wine. Returned to inn for quiet, comfortable nights rest. Very cute but a little over priced.

Small local hotel nestled along the coast. Hotel has kind helpful staff who are willing to make accommodations. Two hot tubes with a great view of the ocean. The rooms are simple but comfortable. They have body boards and bikes that you can just borrow for as long as you like. The beach along the coast near the hotel is very much a local beach and is not the best kept beach. Great value!

This little hotel is right across the street from the ocean - has a cute courtyard and the rooms are reasonably comfortable. NOW COMES THE BIG BUT -- while we enjoyed our stay, it was ALWAYS a cab ride to anyplace we wanted to go! It typically was a $50 round-trip charge to get to anyplace we wanted to go: the "big mall" (which is worth going to if you have the time - great people watching!); Old San Juan....a tad disappointing....not much open during the week and even at a small establishment for a run-of-the-mill-mufungo (ick) was $45 + tip!; back and forth to the airport was also anywhere from $25-30 depending on which cab driver you got. We found a great cab driver the next-to-the last-day we were there but I can't remember his name....dang! All in all, the motel was "a bit on the rustic side" and to be fair it was recently sold and will be undergoing some updating. We had one of the little frogs right outside of our window that the island is known for - his sound is more bird-like than frog-like. We spent well over $250 on cab fares -- oh and don't forget meals...none within SAFE walking distance......more $20+ cab fares -- in just 4 days. That was tough as we 3 friends were traveling on a tight budget! We would NOT stay there again....ultimately a more expensive hotel would have been a nice bit of luxury and less expensive as FREE cab rides to/from the airport and several restaurants would have been easily available.

it is perfect for people who like the quiet, calm places as we do ( my wife and I) so it is the Right hotel to stay.parking it is outside of the hotel but to me it was easy to find out an space and park .

Super chill place to stay by the beach in San Juan. $2 Medalla beers, friendly staff, hot tub & pool.

This is a great small place to stay directly across the street from a useable beach. (not necessarily "one of the best") Bicycles, beach towels, beach chairs, hot tub, internet and a small pool are all included. There is a small store about 10-15 minutes away (walking) but ask for directions. Other than that, not much near by. Clarifications: I found the beds to be more like a queen than a full. Our room had two beds squeezed in, which was really one too many. The "free parking" is on the street and is not always convenient to the hotel. There was one electric plug in the room. Fortunately I had brought along an extension cord with multiple outlets. I suggest you do so as well. The TV is mostly Spanish. The included "Continental Breakfast" was better than most. Boiled eggs and ham were included along with the usual, Breads, cheese, juices etc. I liked this 1950s era hotel; but not everyone will want to put up with it's minor inconveniences.

Hi Waldo, Thank you for your kind review. Our street parking can certainly be difficult on a Sunday. We are always competing with locals who come to the beach on those days. However, we always try to help in any way we can. Warm Regards, Maria V

Hi Anonymous, Thank you for your detailed review. Lots of great places to eat around! You must have eaten at El Departamento de la Comida which has such great local produce. We are definitely a more rustic and authentic alternative to the bigger luxury hotels. I'm so happy you got to experience a more real Puerto Rico!

Hi Heather, Thank you for your honest review. There are lots of great late night restaurants around but not too many 24hr places. I'm sorry to hear you had an issue with your a/c but I'm glad it was easily resolved and everyone was attentive. I'd love to recommend more personalized things for you to do if you should ever come back to stay with us. Warm regards,

Hello Snow, I apologize. We did run into some trouble when a tube needed repair and then the greater city of San Juan had a larger repair all in the same week. It is not a normal occurrence for us to be without hot water. Take Care.
