Rincon Inn2.0 out of 5.0

Stayed here with a buddy for some cheap digs while surfing. As long as your not expecting 3 star, this 2.5 star will be a perfect accommodation. There is a grocery store, ghetto bar and restaurant nearby, everything you need for a good time in Tijauna.
I only wanted a clean room to sleep at night. Had no intention of needing room service, etc... was visiting relatives and planned to be out all day and just use the room to sleep. . WiFi worked ONLY in fromt of the office door...not in the rooms as advertised. Pool was 3/d empty - no swim as advertised. Would NEVER go back.
The Inn is right on the main street, and there is a bar/ restaurant in the front. I know what your thinking. No thank you. But, I will tell you how you would be so wrong. The look was deceiving. We stayed there for two weeks. Beautiful! The rooms were very clean, and quiet. They have a very clean pool out in the back. The rooms have only the basics- beds, fridge,tv, microwave, you need to bring a few things. It is close to everything. The beach is in walking distance, so isn't plenty of restaurants, shops, markets, downtown. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They made everything possible. They spoke English. The bar in the front makes a beautiful breakfast. If you are looking to stay one night or more, I'm sure they can get you a room. And, you will be happy. Enjoy!
Hotel is humble. When we arrived it was impeccably clean. Has mini-fridge, microwave and coffeemaker. That is it for the amenities. Beds were comfortable and there are ceiling fans and ac so we were comfortable. We stayed two nights and I hope this was an oversight but our room was never cleaned.
I took my 18 year old son on his first vacation. I was looking for affordable, so I knew what I was getting us into. This place was so cute on the outside, even though we had to share a bed and did not get guest services unless we asked for it, I was happy. Who sits in their hotel room when you are in beautiful Puerto Rico? Not us! If we weren't at the beach or sight seeing, we were at the pool in back. My only advice would be to have some outdoor seating with lights for the evening, I wanted to lounge outside in the evenings with my book, I had to sit on the 9th hole to do this, but it became a joke for my son and I. The bar downstairs was super cute. The beaches left something to be desired, they were too rocky. We had a great time.
Let me start with when I read the other reviews what did expect for a motel place. This isn't the Marriott with that being said I recently just stayed at a suite at the Rincon inn and my husband daughter and I found it comfortable. Very clean. Nothing fancy but great when you only need it to get ready for the day and sleep it's perfect. Would definitely stay again can't beat it for the price and we had a great experience there. Front desk was also great very accommodating!
Booked hotel due to being affordable for a family vacation. Worst place. Mildew on pillows. Staff would come in to make the beds and give fresh towels only. Left a can of lysol in the room for us to deodorize. Refrigerator needed defrosting, couldn't fit anything there due to ice build up. No wi-fi connection unless you sat outside. They didn't even refill the toilet paper or clean the room one day. Would not even recommend to someone I hated. A bar was connected to the hotel so if you went out you had no parking. Parking lot was just grass, mud and holes
My husband and I do not like large hotels with crowded beaches. This place was perfect for us. The room was nice and the staff was incredible and we met great friends in the local restaurants. We will be sure to book again on our next trip.
Spacious rooms and suites clean . The prices are low for any beach area.the swimming pool large and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful, close to everything the beach is only two blocks away fruit trees all around the area !
Where to being.... I booked this hostel as it is the only hostel in Rincon. The room prices are very reasonable and it does have a nice outdoor pool to relax besides. It is also next to a great grocery store and some great restaurants. Unfortunately that is where the positives ends. The office hours are pretty terrible. I almost missed check in as I was never told that the office is only open until 5pm. If you don't get there by then, you are out of luck. When I did check in, I was given almost no information, No check out time, no wifi info, nothing. The rooms smelled very musty like they haven't been cleaned in a while and the kitchen was a complete mess and smelled of rotting food (and I was the only person staying there the whole time.) While the front door is always locked, and you do have a lock on your room door, there are no lockers at all. This meant I had to lug all my stuff with me wherever I went. The only WIFI available is outside by the pool, they do not provide any wifi in the hostel. While there is a wifi network available inside the hostel, hostel guests are not allowed to use it. When you can connect to the wifi outside, it barely works. I had issues even checking my emails for the duration of my stay. The hostel is actually just outside Rincon in Stella. It is walking distance (30 minutes) to a nice swimming beach, the main beaches for surfing and snorkelling, along with most of the tourist sights, are over an hours walk away so you will need a vehicle. Finally the ants. There are ants EVERYWHERE. Inside, outside, everywhere. It is very bad. If you are looking for a cheap places to stay, sure this place is okay, but otherwise I'd find somewhere else to bunk down for the night. I would NOT recommend this hostel to anyone.
