Great facility ...kid friendly, excellent staff and really nice location

Great spot if R & R is needed. Not a party scene here, which is great. Beach & pool access. Family friendly place or for couples.. One toilet problem but was fixed immediately..

We had to move to another room because there was a strange noise on the first room

Our room was not serviced the first day but we understand that slip ups happen, it wasn't such a big deal. Every staff member we came into contact with was very pleasant and professional. The one thing we did have a problem with was Pay per View was advertised, it was on the TV but when you get to the final screen to purchase it wasn't available, the front desk said it hadn't worked in months. In fact the whole TV package was pretty bad, the remotes didn't work on the TV in the Bedroom, There was no guide as to what was on. Kinda a problem when you are not night life people and like to stay in watching TV and movies. Also $15 a day for parking was kinda upsetting, parking should be included if you are a guest. The pool and the beach were wonderful, towels and lounge chairs provided. So other than the TV we loved our stay, it was in fact the second time we stayed at a Embassy Suites, the other one was in San Juan a few years ago.

Had to sign a document for towels and was told that I must return it by 10 PM since pool will be closed at 11 PM. Free breakfast was good. Beach was not clean. Jacuzzi was extremely over crowded.

Check-in was easy the room was spacious with a beautiful view, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was always amazing. My only two complaints would be that the headboard had a hole and the cleaning service was not up to par. I had told an employee about the hole in the headboard because I did not want to be billed for something I did not break and his response was "we are aware" which surprised me also I told him that my room was not cleaned, his first question was did I have the privacy sign on I told them no he said he would have someone look into it but later that night when I returned to my room it was still not clean they had just fixed the bed, changed the pillow cases and replaced the two complimentary bottles of water the used towels were not replaced and there was dust on the tv and dresser of the bedroom. I have stayed in Embassy Suites in the past and I have to say every other location was immaculate this was the first location I was quite disappointed with the lack of cleanliness.

Had I been to PR before, I would have known better. For the price it wasn't horrible, but, stay elsewhere! I called on three occasions to ask that someone come up to our room as during the night it sounded like there was a washing machine room above our ceiling and we could not sleep! No one ever came, nor called back and I asked both each time I contacted them. We had a room for 5 people, they knew this from the start. There were no linens for the pull out sofa and there were only towels for three. Also, for 5 people, we had 5 pillows total! What hotel only gives each guest ONE pillow? We called, asked for a few more pillows at least and an actual comforter or blanket for the pull out, when we got back the items had been just thrown on the pull out...like they were mad to even bring them. This place was priced a little better than the other cities so I should have known, but still wasn't cheap BY FAR. It is suppose to be an associated brand of Hilton...I would be ashamed if I was Hilton. Oh, and the 18% resort credit we were charged and HAD to pay, we DID NOT receive the benefits of and still have not rec'd credit for, such as the kids 1/2 off dinner, etc.. AND, we had to go to the front desk and have them give us the $50 a day credit, as they conveniently(for them) left it off, even though I double checked upon arrival that it would be on our bill as a credit each day! I feel we are owed money back on our credit card still and I am sure will never see anything. STAY AWAY!!!

Aside from the mildew smell in the room that's probably due to an old ventilation system, the stay was great. Breakfast was ok. Even though there's a make to order option, the buffet needed variety (same eggs, same sausages, same potatoes, same cereal, same pastries). It was free so can't really complain. Pool was nice. Beach was ok, needed maintenance. The 2 hour complimentary drinks was great!! Staff were really nice and very helpful. Overall, had a nice time. Probably would stay here again.

Had a great time with family on this trip. There are MANY children at this resort so be prepared for a ton of that 'energy.' Chef-cooked breakfasts were great, manager's reception was nice, and the location much less busy than San Juan. The staff is extremely professional and friendly.

Nice hotel. Our room was clean but no view. No excursions. No island tours.

I traveled with my 3 kids (15, 13, 10) for Mother’s day weekend, which also happened to be my son’s 13th birthday. Rooms were clean. We had the worst view of building rooftops and apartments from our mosquito infested balcony, so unfortunately we were not able to enjoy it at all. Front desk staff was hit and miss. At check in they did see all the kids, it might have been nice if they told us there was an arcade. They did also offer to have balloons and a cake for me to surprise my son the day of his birthday, but then it took 2 hrs of waiting in the lobby to actually get them. Breakfast: you get what you pay for. Oh yes, its free, so don’t approach it with high standards. Dinner: Worst experience and food ever!!!!! Be prepared to have to drive out every night for dinner. Our first night, we went to the one restaurant on site worried that they wouldn’t have seating for a group of 7 but it was empty. (now we know why) Even though there was no one else except 2 other couples service was horrible. They never stopped by the table except once to take order and once to drop it off. The food was cold and flavorless. Food is priced about $25 a plate and they automatically added the 18% tip to tab. Evening reception: Free drinks & popcorn.

Water at the beach was so clear and the complementary drinks and snacks nice.

I enjoyed the location of room and loved happy hour.

It was the off season so there wasn't much happening until the weekend. The staff was wonderful. The breakfast and complimentary open bar was an asset. The food in the restaurant was very good. However, because it was the down season, there weren't many restaurants in the area to go to. Two shocks we had was the daily self parking rate of $12 and an additional room charge of $18 plus change. No explanation just an extra charge which amounted to approximately another $130 charge.

Had a great experience. Not much to do as it is kinda of isolated. Beach not the greatest but the pool was nice. Casino on the property was a nice bonus. Overall not too bad.

Great Spot to Relax and Wind Down. Food was great, beach and pool were beautiful. I would visit again!

My husband and I enjoyed our trip overall because we were away but there are a few things to take into consideration. Dorado is about 40 minutes from San Juan where most attractions are. A taxi drive there will run you $60 so we decided to rent a car. Thank goodness we did because there was not much to do at the hotel and you needed to drive everywhere. There are tolls so you also have to activate the easy pass. Also we were hit with a daily parking fee at the hotel. We drove around through many of the little towns and found some cool secluded beaches. The beach at the hotel is very small and not very blue. The public beach in San Juan on the other hand is beautiful but the hotels are blocked by security so you can only go in if you are staying there. We enjoyed the rain forest and favorite part of the trip was touring Old San Juan, beautiful architecture and cheap beer! Don't waste your time trying to go to the secluded islands on the ferry. We got there bright and early, waited in line and it was sold out. There was no communication and it was run poorly. Food everywhere we went was fair at best but drinks were good:) It seemed that Puerto Roco was run down and dirty overall. At the end of every vacation I ask myself would I go back and sadly I would say no.

It was a great stay and everything was great. The staff is really nice and helpful

Had a great time miss the casino the beach was nice and the kids had a great time . Will return next year
