Upon arrival, much confusion about rates that were booked 2 months prior for a group of 30 people. Took a long time to sort it all through. No hot water for 1 of the 2 nights booked. Room door keys quit working after the first night. However, the pool was nice, landscaping was very well done. In the future, we would probably opt for another place to stay.
My family and I went to this wonderful hotel in Cabarete for the weekend and we had an awesome time. The cozy bungalows where we stayed are in the middle of a very private and quiet tropical garden with fruit trees and around a beautiful pool. You can eat at the hotel restaurant in any of the two areas inside or outside on a beautiful terrace with a view of the pool. And it is very economic. One of the best values you will find in Cabarete to have breakfast lunch or dinner. And the bungalows are super economic, great value, very spacious, and beautiful, very private. You can also bring your pet along. The owner is an excellent human being who has a few rescues who come to welcome you when you arrive. They are very happy and sociable 4 legged residents which are an extra to this wonderful hotel including the sympathetic Rusty, the little dog on wheels. We will definately be back and truly recommend!
The hotel had many dogs outside and it il impossible to sleep, The dogs are always crying. The noise is impossible and terrible , during the nigjht and during the day ... Dont go to this place ! Michael
Good location in Cabarete, I would take a bungalow and not by the laguna! There you will be spared from mosquitos. The best is the staff and specially the receptionist Marimar and breakfast service from Vicky! Be aware that they have dogs if you are allergic, thus they give them a lot of love! I will stay there again, for sure👍
The rooms were not very nice. Rooms had bugs all over the beds and the sheets were not very clean. There were no screens on the windows so you couldn't open them to help with the breeze. There were dogs every and would bark at you. Not a very welcoming place.
Cabarete is the perfect vacation spot with great beaches restaurants and nightlife and this hotel right in town but far enough away from the bars to be peaceful it was perfect for my accommodation needs. I have stayed here several times over the years and i have always been happy and treated well by the owner and staff .
We had arrived a group of 12 people. I have stayed in the past at Hotel Kaoba and it was clean and worth the money that you paid. This time around there were dogs everywhere. One of the members of our group was bitten by one of the dogs. The sheets and towels were dirty. The pools was dirty and not inviting at all.
The location itself is really nice; next to the main road, close to the beautiful Cabarete beaches and many nice restaurants around. Even the hotel itself looks really cute with all the little bungalows and the pool area. The rest unfortunately is average. The staff is ok, the wifi tends to disappear the closer you get to the rooms, there is a lot of insects and mosquitos. Nice for one night, for a longer stay better choose a beach resort.
Staff is friendly, grounds are maintained, close to everything but,,,,, we stayed in bungelo next to pool for three nights. First night I was getting water boarded by the a/c unit dripping above my head ( fixed Dominican style, moved bed). Next water dripping in shower all night ( again fixed Dominican style, closed door). In the morning no hot water or pressure ( Dominican fix, jump in pool). Besides that had a good time. I would return owners are trying and remember you are in the DR.
The room with the fan is way too hot, the fan doesn't work and it was full of mosquitoes. Besides that, the pool is dirty, and my key was deactivated a day before. Definitely not a really good experience.
