Very attractive and well kept resort, friendly staff, ok rooms could use some upgrading, alas no hot not even real warm water to shower. A shower mat is necessary, tubs are slippery.

Resort has deteriorated. Our third visit, room air conditioning made loud noise through walls, difficult to sleep, front desk unresponsive, would not change room, food is also of poor quality. Staff is still very friendly and helpful, but clearly overworked and underpaid. Facilities are very beautiful, but Grupo Pineri is maximizing profit over quality. Will not return. At least for a while.

The worst experience of my life, the resort is 2 star max, not 5 star as advertised. The service is nonexistent as no one pays attention to the guests, you have to look for your own table at the restaurants and you get asked for drinks just before you are about to leave. Lunch is between 1pm and 3 pm but if you come in at 2 pm 90% of food is gone and they don't bother restocking. I've found hair and egg shel in my eggs and meat. The food is also often rare and tastes terrible. The mosquitos and bed bugs made my life a living hell even though I had been using insect propeller, I now have over 40 mosquito bites all over my body. The resort is also old and looks like a poor little village. I'm deeply disappointed and would never even pass by this resort for no money in the world.

I Need 2 day More free for can change my comment, we pay a Lot for The day. Please give me two day for enyoy with my familie.

My family and I had a good time here but I may have chosen a different hotel had I known the following. - They shut the pool down at 6:00PM. While they do try and provide other entertainment with shows and music I don't understand why they close the pool so early. My family and I would have preferred the extra time at the pool instead of the entertainment. I kinda felt that they closed the pool to force you to visit the entertainment. - I don't usually expect much from the food with the buffet style all inclusive packages provide but I felt they could change it up a bit. Although the food was plentiful I would have liked some more variety and felt the food was below average.

The lobby staff was very inattentive. Waited for 20 mins for someone to assist me and was the only guest on line. My second day there I had no power in my room and had baby food in the fridge spoiling. I called and visited the lobby and no one would give me a straight answer. After hours of no power I finally had to demand a room where my baby could relax comfortably. I was told it wasn't a big deal and I wasn't the only one without power and shouldn't be upset about it. Anytime I called and asked the lobby for anything they would dismiss me and had to ask dozens of times. Toilet backed up and waited 2 hours for assistance. Asked for ice and no one ever came. Wasted a good chunk of my trip arguing with the lobby staff who could careless. It's unfortunate because the entertainment, pool, and food crew were very pleasant and eager to please. I will never visit this resort again.

Second time to this resort and it is one of my faves in the Puerto Plata area. Its a 2 hour drive from Santiago airport but well worth the drive. Food was great, service was great. Very clean

I am usually not the type of person to complain about resorts but this was absolutely the worst resort that I've been to. DON'T DO IT, please save your money. To start off my room was not ready at check in time. The room was clean but I've never been to a hotel where there was no wash clothes or iron to iron your clothes. The room was well cleaned everyday. The staff was real nice and tried their hardest to speak english. The safe box cost $4 a day. WiFi for the room was pricey and it didn't work all the time. There are no english speaking channels. I think that the rooms are outdated and needs a renovation badly. The only thing that was modern was the tv. The food for this hotel was terrible. The Japanese restaurant was the best meal that I've had there. Too bad that it was only open on Wednesdays and you better book it as soon as you get there. I could count on 1 hand the edible things there. The resort had cats walking around in the restaurants while eating. I thought that the flies would be the only thing that I had to worry about. The store inside the lobby charges 4 times the regular amount. The beach wasn't that beautiful neither. The sad part is that I couldn't wait for my vacation to end and I've shouldn't had felt that way. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE save your money. This is a 2.5 star, 3 the most hotel

" PROS " Check in was Quick Rooms clean and cold Staff were kool / Pools clean & nice Animation was Nice " CONS " No 24hr Bar open that sucks The club was to Far Food was repeated constantly Recommend for Older Crowd

The three of us made the most of our vacation despite the terrible guest services. We had to ask daily for a 3rd bath towel, which we rarely received. The wifi was only free for 1hr a day in the lobby, if it was working. The power went out daily. We had no safe deposit box and a door that didn't lock in our first room. After 3 hours of talking back and forth, where they treated us like we knew nothing, they finally saw there was no box and that the door was in fact broken, so we were given a new room.

The location of this resort was great, I loved that it wasn't in an urban area -- the resort was beautiful, and anywhere you stay has easy access to the beach. The buffet food was typically a little bland, but there are all-inclusive restaurants accessible with a reservation; the Mediterranean was my personal favorite. The bar staff were all great, and we really enjoyed the nightlife available on the resort. Between the karaoke bar and the club, we met up with people to hang out with every night and made some great friends while there!

And perhaps a little too large. A lot of walking between places to go within the resort.

None of the rooms have great ocean views and the food selections at the buffet needs to be looked at, but everything else was okay. [...] at the front desk is very professional and addressed an issue that we had when we checked in regarding the air conditioning. He had our room changed immediately and offered prompt assistance as well. I would definitely return though. The staff is very nice and the resort is clean and well maintained. Remember - It's not Punta Cana!
