Food was great, friendly staff, shows are entertaining, clean rooms, the safe deposit box is too old, wasn't working though, it looked like it's been like that for a while now and nobody notice or do something about it, the dance club could be better it looks too old fashioned but the dj plays great music, the pools make it up for it since they are wide, clean and great. Definitely coming back.

My time was ok. The rooms could be in better conditions . The AC system was very poor and more entertainment

The check in was quick and easy the hotel itself is some what run down. There was not many choices for food and one thing I disliked was that the food on the buffet restaurant had flies all over. My husband and I got a stomach bug. Outside the hotel looks like a thug neighborhood I was scared when we were getting there that the inside was going to be bad but once inside is ok. The hotel staff is friendly and accommodating. There were no restrictions to smoking as there were people smoking inside one of the restaurants and in the pool they should have smoking areas so non smokers can enjoy the fresh air. Overall I do not recommend this hotel.

Not accessible to visitors with disabilities. The rooms come equipped with a safe, however they fail to mention that they charge you extra for the key to the safe. I would recommend this resort only if your price is reasonable. $60-$70 per day no more. The food is not all inclusive they give you vouchers for dinner my stay was 5 days I received 2 dinner vouchers. It is cheaper to walk two blocks to eat.

Hotel located in the city of sosua. Easy access to the beach. Foods, drinks, snack are ok. Although you may sit in the restaurant and not offered any drink unless you ask. Lack of entertainment. So you have to improvise otherwise you will be bored

Overall we got exactly what we were looking for on this trip, beautiful beaches and pools, unlimited drinks and food, and a nice place to sleep. The resort is what you make of it- we were looking for a cheap yet acceptable all inclusive resort and thats what we got. We had an amazing time, but there were many little things that could have been improved to make it a better experience.

food was good. staff was very good. shows were okay. location was excellent.

The place was located in a super nice part of the island, and the beach is great. The food is good, and the restaurant servers are fantastic. The lady who cleaned my room was excellent, and exceptionally nice. The problem is with the people who work the front desk. They are the rudest people I've EVER encountered in any hotel I've ever stayed at. I observed one of the front desk workers behave embarrassingly disrespectful to a guest who was checking out. This particular guest confronted the guy about his behavior, but it did no good. Almost all of the front desk staff seem to have chips on their shoulder. It was very odd.

For the price it's a nice Hotel, we went during the off season so it was quiet. We were looking to relax and that's just what we did. Food is okay, nothing to brag about. Staff was nice and friendly. Took the trip to Paradise Island to snorkel and tour a cigar factory. If you go there I would recommend this trip.

I've been here twice with family members. We have a good time. The location is prime, with many beaches nearby including two at the hotel, perfect for relaxing and cooling off. Food and beverages are satisfying. Staff is friendly and helpful. Having said all those nice things, the resort is kind of outdated, an old fashioned idea of tropical. The rooms are equally outdated, not as well furnished as they could be, and in great need of renovation. Food is plentiful but not always delicious. It's a good deal, but if you've been here before you may want to find something nicer.

Loved it! Great Experience from beginning to end. Much needed time away, great food, great accomodations, great staff....great drinks too! A Tropical Paradise"

This was out second vacation at Casa Marina. We had a wonderful vtime, Casa Marina's staff could not have been nicer and the hotel is a great option as it is within Sosua. If only they had Presidente beer as they did last time!?!? Liked being able to walk around Sosua and spend time at the local pubs....the did have Presidente! Hope the government cracks down on some of the unpleasant activity. We will go back to Sosua and will stay at Casa Marina....

The property is located near the center of town, so you do not need to deal with taxis. The private beach at the resort is beautiful. The food was average. Every night there is a pasta station, fish and chicken. Sometimes there is roast pork and once a lobster. The staff in the dining area are very nice people, but they cover multiple areas and are unclear as to who is coming or going. Two times in five days an unfinished meal was removed when I when to the bar for a drink. Also, the bar is located away from the food area. They manually poor beer and soda from bottles which may save on food cost, but they waste money on labor cost and make people wait unnecessarily. The cafeteria is needlessly inefficient. (If you bring your own large cup, they will fill). I asked to change my two times to a lower floor an was told to come back. I gave up. The neiborhood around the resort is save. If you are not to fussy about food it is OK. I would not recommend spending more than $90 US.

I spent last March 2012 there for a birthday weekend and the hotel had met my expectation and I was completely satisfied with its service. I went again this year March 2013 and I've got to say the hotel has completely downgraded itself by cutting corner to make money. From 11 am to 4 pm the Air conditioning in the room is turned off leaving only a fan that doesn't even cool anything in the room. The room service takes your towel after cleaning your room and doesn't even replace it till about 4 hours later. The food selection is minimal and the food at time is either overcooked or undercooked and the bartender get upset when you order more then one drink, I'm avoiding this resort next time I go on vacation

I had a good experience for the price. The food was o.k. The pool was great, beach was really good, staff was very polite with a few exceptions. Some of the male staff needs to keep there coments to themselves and stop coming on to female visitors. The grounds were well maintained. Location was great. DOWNSIDE - Smoking..... Smoking should have designated area's not where all people are. Rooms should have a dresser or something so people can put there clothes in instead of going in and out of the suitcase everyday.

Staff made wedding an incredable experience. Rooms were clean and made up every day. For a poor country we were taken care of. We were able to wonder downtown to some of the restaurants and bars and were very safe. Just need to keep an eye on your surroundings. Hotel for the value paid was great. Liquor was a little watered down but was plentiful. If you are a wine drinker only this is not the place to go.

Resort was beautiful. Offered quite a few activities you can play and the open bars decent for what you are paying for. I would recommend bringing your own mug or cup. The cups they give you are pretty small. The first couple of days, be prepared to get harassed a hundred times about going to their "presentation". By the third day they finally get the hint. The staff does a great job working with you if you don't speak the language. It's amazing how many languages the people there know. Thought the rooms were nice and the food wasn't bad. Only draw backs for use were the presentation harassments and the fact the it seems kind of darngerous to leave the resort and walk around. The area didn't look great but that just our opinion.

We were a group of 15 and had a wonderful time! They have activities planned all day long....love Angy (one of the activity leaders). Traveled with people from 3 yrs- 68 yrs and all enjoyed the hotel and everything it offered. Please note there are two hotels....Casa Marina Reef and Casa Marina Beach. The two are connected and the only reason you need to know which one you are at is for when you check in! Otherwise all the facilties are the same.

I was there for 5 days and it was just horrible. Food was not what I expected, not a good variety. Some of the staff members were ok but the one particular lady at the front desk ( I even asked for her name) Rosa she has the worst customer service I've ever experience. I'm not sure if she doesn't know the mean of customer service. She was very unprofessional, her attitude was the worts. She never has an answer to any of our questions and didn't make an attempt to help us. I honestly was extremely disappointed. So disappoints

If you paid a lot of money for your dream vacation, do NOT go to Casa Marina! You will be dessapointed...The food is the worst part....Why would they serv Hungarian Gulash on a "French night", as they called it???? Lots of birds and bugs were all over the food... One tipe of fruit on a meal????We are in a tropical resort!!!No frozen drinks???? To get to the bar it was a long trip....No refrigerator in the room, the AC was not working...Verry dissapointing....
