At 5 AM, we walked in to see if their were rooms left for us to sleep. It was no problem for them and we had a room for the upcoming night. The room itself was great! The airco worked just fine, the shower was wonderful, the cleaning up was good and the beds were great as well. I really slept like a baby there.
Really basic but nice hotel. Can't see a thing of what other people were complaining about. Clean, good air-conditioned room with free wifi and tv. Nice walk in shower en perfumed shower gel. Enjoyed staying here...
I have been with my wife and 2 elder brothers with their wife. In my older brother room ( he is 70) there was some noise due to the main air-conditioning system ( so independent on whether he would switched off or not). The noise was not strong but enough for preventing him to sleep. I asked to change that room but they said it was impossible ( although they had double rooms available) and claimed there was no noise, implicitly saying my brother was inventing this issue. We complained with booking.com but the only thing we were offered was 30 euros compensation ( we spent in total 1400 euros in that hotel! In addition rooms were a bit old and one day the cover of the fan fell on my head....of course no issue as it is very light.
Very convenient position, extremely pleasant & helpful staff. We had a room with terrace which gave us more space but unfortunatly it rained for two of our four days. The beds very comfortable & sheets & towels spotless. Big tick. A mirror in the bedroom would be a great help. The bathroom one was very distorted & it would be nice to be able to check yourself before going out. Also no dishes shelves or hooks in shower so everything has to stay on the floor. Terraces should have tiles, not astro turf as it stayed very wet Over all we rated it as a two star but could with a little effort be three.
To find the hotel without local knowledge or assistance may be an issue. However, we took a taxi from airport to The Plaza and the navigation was done for us. Initially had a slight problem finding the entrance. Lady in reception was helpful and, with her reasonable English arranged rooms for the 8 couples in our group. The reception is small and apart from a settee offers limited facilities. The lift is tiny and, at a push, can take 4 people with little baggage. The stairs are a challenge. At night knowledge of the 'timed' light system is useful to convert a dark and narrow chamber into a safe place to climb or descend. Room (200) is small and has inadequate shelf and drawer space. A good sized wardrobe was essential otherwise no where to place clothing etc. The bed is firm (two singles pushed together). The bathroom is tiny and the shower a bit of a joke. The width of the shower was about 2 feet or less. During my showers if I turned pushing against the shower control was inevitable and it stopped. If the shower is turned up too strong the bathroom and bedroom floor floods. Breakfast is provided on the fourth floor. Fruit, breads and chocolate brioche type rolls are available. The hot??? meal consists of thin sausages, greasy ham, and rubbery scrambled egg. The hot plate was never on. Replenishment of the trays is slow (depending on which lady is on duty). The automatic coffee machine requires filling at frequent intervals by a kettle (not plumbed in). So expect either delays in replenshisment or nothing at all. A few of our number choose to go out to local cafe for a decent breakfast. The location of the hotel is its only redeeming feature; close to most of the interesting downtown features (Cathedral, river, cafes etc). Because we were a group intent on enjoying our trip to Seville we enjoyed ourselves, but The Hotel did not enhance our visit to Seville. The staff, particularly two young ladies, tried their best to cheerfully provide for us but they have very little in place to help them. Will not return to The Plaza.
You get what you pay for, so don't expect luxury in anyway. Rooms were basic as are facilities, however the hotel is in an awesome location. Didn't realize it had a top communal balcony (which looked quite nice) until I was checking out, so would have been nice to have been told that.
My husband and I have visited Seville several times, however, the first time staying in a hotel and we wasn't dissapointed, the hotel staff were friendly, helpful and polite, the hotel was comfortable, clean and couldn't have been better situated for the city and surrounding area, it made our plan for a relaxing and peaceful city break easier to achieve. We booked a room with a private terrace and the outside space was a pleasant additional area for us to relax in
Arrived at the hotel at 1am after driving round and round Seville. Lots of side streets closed due to road works. I had a very basic room as only staying 1 night which was adequate for what I needed. I parked in the public carpark across the road and had breakfast at a little café across the street recommend by the lady on reception. The hotel Plaza is great for location, just minutes from the Cathedral and all places of interest. I got this hotel on booking.com it was 1 of their deals of the day so for £35.00 it was well worth the money. Next time I go to Saville I will probably stay in a 4* hotel for a bit more comfort.
The location is the only thing good about this place, I would and have had better accommodation in hostels! The staff don't care, the room is tiny, the beds hard as a rock and shower is awful!! The pics on their website do not show just how old and small this place really is! We unfortunately had a room on the first floor, and I would have been better staying at the rip off bar across the road all night as sleep was not an option. I asked the front desk if there were any larger rooms available and was simply told "no, the hotel is complete!" Look elsewhere for accommodation in beautiful Seville, this place nearly ruined our stay here.
I stayed for two nights and its location was perfect in the old town area, a pain to find but great once you get your bearings, it was across from underground car park so that was a bonus, and at the cross roads to bars and nice resturants, the hotel was nice a clean, and a room with a view, enjoyed my stay
