Hotel Palacio de Villapanes

5.0 out of 5.0

Excellent hotel, closer to tourist areas, cozy place.

Loved this hotel. It's in the former mansion of the Marquis of Villapanes. A glorious combination of old and new, a classic exterior and amenities and a modern room design. Excellent staff. Easily walkable to the city center.

We came to Seville for our honeymoon and this hotel made our stay wonderful. The staff was very welcoming and took care of everything. If we needed a taxi or dinner recommendations/reservations they did it all. The Palacio is probably one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in, and the staff is a big reason why we enjoyed our stay so much. If we ever travel to Seville again we will absolutely stay here. Our room was quite large and had great air conditioning. We also enjoyed the rooftop pool and lounge area.

Great ameneties and hotel staff but difficult to get to if you drive from toledo. We retuned our car and used taxis while in Sevilla

Beautiful facility, great location. Check-in delayed by an hour because last guest checked out late (?), waited in the courtyard, were told 'just 15 more minutes', had to prompt for wine service. Calling for room service makes you feel like you're doing something wrong - they seemed seriously unhappy we wanted room service. The ladies at the front desk were fantastic - best recommendations for food ever. Otherwise, we had to remind people we wanted service - breakfast, bar, room.. the upstairs is supposed to have a bar and cold food, but no one was manning the bar each time we tried to visit. We were awoken each morning to the English family who would let their kids yell right outside our door while waiting for the elevator. For the price we paid, we expect 5 star service - not just 5 star rooms.

A lovely hotel with excellent staff. It has an understated old world charm but service, meals and yes some evening guitar and flamenco makes it very current and fitting for Sevilla.

Very nice staff, picturesque building, high quality service.

This hotel is beautiful and clean. The staff is polite and friendly. They speak perfect English and were incredibly helpful. The location is good but not perfect. The only downside was that the AC in our room was pretty ineffective. Our visit was mid-June and it was tough to sleep in our warm room.

You can walk to all the points of interest of the nice city of Séville.

Great boutique facility, superb staff, very good food. I'd stay again. However, get your laundry done before you go here. VERY expensive.

Not the best location, staff was arrogant and not willing to go the extra step.

You won't go wrong at this hotel. The location is great, the staff quite helpful, and the room was nearly perfect.

You've got to love a place that offers you a drink while you're checking-in. Staying there felt like being in someone's home, albeit a palatial home with lots of servants.

A fabulous hotel. Every attention to detail has been addressed, both in the amenities and with the personal, friendly care given to guests. The outdoor areas were wonderful places to relax and have a drink after a hot summer afternoon, as was the roof top spa. Perfect! Wish we had a hotel like this in Los Angeles!

Rooms were superb, as was service. Enhanced our stay in Seville greatly.

The Palacio de Villapanes was remarkably beautiful and historic, and the staff did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. The place is so lovely that one does not want to leave it, but when we went out we always had excellent suggestions for restaurants, tapas bars, and attractions in enchanting Seville. One of the best hotel experiences I have ever had.

This hotel has great service and updated and modern furnishings even though it's a former palace that was renovated last year. The only drawback is the location that may be considered central but not really in the heart of tourist plazas or sights. Although the staff is happy to get you a taxi and it is not expensive to get to sights such as the Cathedral or Alcazar.

The hotel was in a great location (less than a ten minute walk from Centro de Sevilla). It was off the main road so there were no loud motor bikes in the night. The deluxe room was small (very tiny bathroom) but the actual shower made up for it! It was set off to the side of the bathroom and had multiple shower heads. Great water pressure too! The staff were friendly, courteous and spoke excellent english. The hotel overall was very clean. Room service was great. There was a supermarket not too far away from the hotel as well as great eating establishments. Overall, the hotel made the vacation an even better one!

This is a great hotel. The location is perfect, the staff accommodating, the rooms comfortable and the ambience couldn't be better.

Great location and nice rooms -- just ask for a quiet room away from the street.
