The style of the hotel is very original, different from the usual modern style can be found widely in the good hotels. The hotel is in an old palace in Sivilla center. common rooms are warm and well furnished like a private house, making everyone in the good feeling to be at home. The level of cleaning is very very high. Personnel is prepared and proactive to solve small problems can be present in an hotel room. The hotel has also a restaurant which we did not tried a lot: only for a small dinner at our arrival: quite good, but the terrible chocolate preparation! (Let's review the triple chocolate sweet!). The price is adequate to the level of comfort. The breakfast offers quite good quality and variety (some products, included in the price, must be requested to the waiters). It was not possible to completely control the thermal regulation in the room. We stayed there at the beginning of January and the room was super-warm! Despite the room control reported the heating was off ...
This hotel was relaxing, charming, nice size rooms, and nice outdoor space. We stayed a few nights in September to attend a wedding in Seville. It was a lovely place to stay. It was a 5 minute walk to the main street, not too far from many interesting sights.
Very charming and hospitable.Staff was warm and accommodating.Lovely courtyard building..We had drinks in the lounge area most nights.Staff was very pleasant. It is on a quiet street but a 10/15 minute walk to attractions, pedestrian shopping area and triana .A great tapas area is only a few blocks away and a great breakfast cafe-almazen cafe is around the corner. My wife and I stayed in one of the suites and it was lovely and specious. We were there in December which is a great time to see seville. It was sunny and in the 60s. Great weather to walk around.
Stayed for 4 nights as a family just before Christmas 2017. The hotel has the feeling of a riyad with a central courtyard and rooms facing inwards -- an exotic ambience. The courtyard is quite pretty with adjoining lounge areas to relax in. One could also have a drink either in the courtyards or in the lounges. The room was very well sized and the amenities were perfect. While not a normal chain hotel, the staff were very friendly (particularly on the front desk) and paid attention to every detail. The breakfast was sumptuous with good quality ingredients (though we had a slight issue with fried eggs one morning - an exception in our view) and a wide choice of options. The wifi connection is very good throughout the hotel. The hotel is ideally located in the historic town of Seville - a 10 minute walk to the cathedral and the main attractions in the town. Highly recommended.
If you are a experienced traveler, you will find that every detail in the decoration, every action in the hospitality is a opportunity for you to get engaged with Sevilla (not with the facility). If you are a occasional traveler, you will be delighted with the simplicity of the experience, and be surprised with sophistication where you wouldn't expect.
This has to be in the top 3 hotels I have stayed in my years of travel. The attention to detail is exquisite, and it has the personall touch and service. I suspect that the only reason it is not officially rated as a 5 star is due to the age of the building although it is exceptionally maintained and beautiful. Enjoy your stay if you choose to do so.
Hospes Las Casas del Rey de Baeza Sevilla is an authentic, charming hotel near city center. It has a lovely courtyard, restaurant, and fireplace room where guests can relax. The personnel are equally as charming and very helpful.
We stayed for 3 nights and found our experience average. Would not return to this hotel if we were to come back to Seville, mostly due to the service. The hotel is very charming, situated in a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Some great restaurants nearby, including an exceptional bakery called Pan Y Piu. We had a Dreamer Room - I was disappointed to see it was much smaller than what the pictures showed. The heating was difficult to operate and the TV very small. We didn't find the staff very friendly, with the exception of Cristina, the Hotel Manager, who was very welcoming and gave us great tips when we arrived. The restaurant staff were very rude - when I tried to order from the bar menu at the lounge, one of the waitresses told me sternly to wait in the lounge area and then forgot to come take my order. Twenty minutes later I went again to see if I could place an order and was told my male staff to wait in the lounge and someone would come. She finally arrived and took my order, but I felt so unwelcome and didn't go near the restaurant again. I found staff to be quite cold - the concierge (when it wasn't Cristina) would never greet us when we were leaving or coming in, which I found odd for a small hotel. While most things (such as small room size) are forgivable, rude service to guests is not, so regrettably I would not recommend this hotel.
The hotel is old and has such amazing charm and character. I am not sure the AC could have kept us cool in the summer but since we went in November it was not a problem...when our room was warm, we opened the doors / windows. The bed in the room was huge.....much bigger than a King or California King!! Customer service was top notch. Breakfast was included and it was very impressive. You can order fancy Latte's and other non standard coffee's. Made to order eggs, omelets and other stuff on top of everything they had out. We stayed over thanksgiving and ate at the hotel that night. They offered a traditional Thanksgiving meal and it was actually out of this world. Apple pie in a margarita glass with key lime sorbet! It was excellent. The customer service at the hotel was great, everyone we came into contact with was so nice. The roof top pool and seating area was breathtaking! My only concern with this hotel would be summer months and the AC....I could be wrong but I would look at other reviews.
We've booked in October a Junior Suite and although the fotos were good, when we got there, the reality showed us something completely different. Old room, no charming... one window with a direct view to an inner courtyard.. We checked out and had the impression that they would not charge the entire amount.. but... they did...
