Despite the bad reviews this hotel was very good, our room was lovely and spacious. The location is great you can literally walk to every destination from the hotel. The room is clean with a nice good size bathroom, the room was cleaned everyday, and it had all of the amenities needed. The staff is really friendly well trained and happy to help with any queries. I can't really fault this place my boyfriend and I had a lovely stay in this beautiful city and the hotel made this whole experience very relaxing and stress free. Especially thanks the receptionist girls which where lovely 😊
Never seen such bad room as on Duquesa. It is really small, and no window at the bed. Next to the small bathroom, there is a window which is towards a small patio, not much light. The room is not worth more than 30 euros. Parking is 300 meters in a very small basement.
Clean but claustrophobic room with window overlooking very small internal quadrangle. No fridge. Staff friendly and spoke good English. About 15 minutes from Cathedral. Breakfast good value at 6 euros if bought on arrival.
Spent 3 nights here March 2017 lovely hotel very clean maid came every day . Located really central minutes walk from all shops and bars etc would recommend and stay again . The metropol parasol is just round the corner which is worth a visit 3 euros to go to top but you get a free drink from the bar so not bad and the views of Seville are super . Also o Donnell street is full of shops if you like shopping .bring some comfy shoes cos there's a lot to see and a lot of walking to see it all . Will definitely be returning as 3 days is no way near long enough .
The location is nice, next to the shopping streets. The Alcazar and the cathedral are on 10-15 minutes by foot. The bed was comfortable and the room is clean, but not very large. The staff is very helpful. I paid around 50 euro per night, so the hotel offer a good value for money.
I stayed for 2 nights with my family. Staff were polite, good location close to main landmarks. The only issue was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom and that the street just out of the room keeps noisy until late in the night... I would stay again in this hotel in the future...
The room and facilities etc. were decent. No complaints on that front. But the hotel authorities have given instructions to charge cards in the other currency if it shows an option, in our case was USD, instead of Euro. This made our 85 euro room (for 2 nights) become 91 euros and we had to pay an additional conversion fee. Although after fighting, this payment was refunded, but due to the fact that ours is a multi-currency card from India we still have not received the refund and we now have to go and complaint to the bank to get our money back. This was totally unnecessary especially when we told them to charge in euros.
This was our first trip to Seville and so was not familiar where would be the ideal location to stay on our budget. When we arrived at the hotel we were pleasantly surprised how close to the main attractions of the city. Being located on the Plaza del Duque it is possible to hop onto the sightseeing tour buses, local bus system or pick up a taxi if arriving to or from the airport or train station. The room we had was at the front of the hotel with a balcony overlooking the Plaza. Although, this gave good views of the square it needs to be noted that if you enjoy your sleep then be warned by continuous noise during the night of the Seville life outside from the local cafes and bars, refuge trucks, drunken revellers walking home and a little traffic, especially at the weekend. This may seem charming for a couple of days but can be a little irritable during a long stay. The room was clean and had a contemporary feel. As observed in other reviews the wardrobe is a little small but sufficient. The room also had A/C which is a must even in October when we stayed at daytime temperatures still reached 32c and night time temperatures of 18c. All staff we spoke to at reception and other parts of the hotel were very pleasant and professional and spoke adequate English to assist us in our enquiries we had. In all we enjoyed our stay and would recommend.
I booked 5 nights at this hotel on the assumption I’d have a double room with a view and a balcony. What I got was a twin room, inward facing with no window, that reeked of dampness. My issues with the room: 1. Unbearably claustrophobic: open the door and there’s two corridors that lead you to the room – which is a box with no natural light, but a door that opens into a dark and damp smelling lightwell. 2. Health and safety issues, the room has one entrance and no escape. The lightwell is about 5 floors high and barring the front door there’s no other way of getting out of the small circular space. 3. Insufferably warm even with air con on! 4. 2 people on a 5 night stay and no storage. I couldnt believe that there were no drawers and only a small (tiny) flat wardrobe on the wall with ONE coat hanger (seriously) and no other storage whatsoever. 5. The bedcovers were stained and had hair on them. 6. The toilet flush broken – had to put finger into jagged hole to flush the loo. 7. Wifi – NOT in rooms, slow and intermittent and only in reception area. After much complaining the receptionist managed to get the hotel manager to come to the hotel the following day to deal with my issues. I made it absolutely clear to her I would not be staying and requested a refund for the next 4 nights. The manager(ess) was obnoxious and arrogant, and gave the receptionist an incredibly difficult time (for helping us). In fact it was embarrassing to watch her scold the young girl who had been so helpful and sympathetic and had even got on the internet & telephone to help us find another hotel. The receptionist is a credit to this establishment - unfortunatley however i still mark this hotel a 1 (terrible) for Service! The manager finally agreed to refund me – she still denied I’d been mis-sold my room, and made it clear that’s what you get when you book economy! Which is absolutely not what their website says - or the agents R1Hotels! This was a truly awful and stressful start to our holiday – thankfully we got out on time and found a beautiful, clean room with a terrace and view!
When I first stepped into the room, I realized that this Hotel is planed and created with professionallity in every detail. Even in the Reception you see the high class of it. The Men at the Reception was quite friendly and the Check in (late in the night) was quick and without any struggle. The Hotel is, like I said before very close to the City of Sevilla with good bus and taxi possibilities. I was there in Autumn 2015 so not in the main Summerseason. So the price was very cheap (nearly 50 Euro) for a double bed room. All in all it was a great time and a excellent Hotel i would recommend it to everyone!
